  • It's a nice and comfortable place to stay. Not that spacious but already enough for ones without too much stuff. It felt just like home staying here. I just needed to take out my own toothbrush and clothes from the luggage. They prepared everything else.

  • John and Kyong are wonderful hosts. They are friendly, communicative and have a wonderful space for their guests. They are centrally located so it is easy to get around. And they keep in touch in case I needed anything while I was there. They provide snacks that are much appreciated, also. Everything was clean and tidy all of the time. I was very lucky to have found them. And I would definitely stay with them again, if I am ever back there.

The neighborhood was quiet and the home was very comfortable. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!

  • Larry is an awesome host. The cabin is great and is right next to downtown Anchorage. He offered great suggestions on where to eat too! I'd definitely recommend for anyone to stay here!

  • I stayed for one night before heading off to Denali National Park, but it was quiet and comfortable. There is a supermarket a block away, which was very convenient for getting food and snacks for my trip. Downtown is also only a few minutes away by driving! Check-in/check-out was super easy, and the people in the office were all very friendly. I got lots of tips about what to do around town and even how to deal with wildlife encounters, haha. :)

This upstairs suite is in an historic 1917 cottage, in downtown Anchorage, and is truly a rare find! Steps away from restaurants, bars, convention center, bus station, museum, bike trails, parks and pubs. It shares the building with a salon on the main level. With a private entrance, it is upstairs under the attic eaves, so the bathroom ceiling is slanted (FYI super tall people!) quality towels & linens, a full-sized pull out sofa bed in the living room, the queen bed is cool gel memory foam!
Coffee pot, mini-fridge/freezer and microwave in apartment. No hot plate or stove. This is a great place for a couple, or a small family who doesn't mind using a sofa bed. It has its own designated parking space on the property! It's a smaller unit, but it’s comfy and feel like home (1 bedroom and a living room). There is a ROKU TV - you need your password to watch Netflix, etc.
This building is on a block with 2 other historic homes, in between two of the best hotels. It is not in a typical neighborhood; it is in the downtown business area. On the same block across the street is a grill/dancepub that plays music in the evenings, (may be heard by early or light sleepers, especially on Friday and Saturday nights), beyond that within 3 blocks is the main shopping district and downtown core, including our Museum of History & Art. Two blocks the other way is the inlet and its amazing paved trail system to parks and lakes.
  • Great location and place!

    Julie2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Bridget was extremely nice and easy to contact about any questions we might have had. She was very interested in making sure everything went smoothly regarding our stay. Her space was ideally located within walking distance of many of the downtown businesses. I would highly recommend her place if you want a helpful host and clean place to stay!

    Jeff2018-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Bridget is a terrific host and her adorable apartment right in the center of downtown Anchorage was perfect for our stay there. I would definitely come back and stay there again. The little house is charming and historic and is a cozy place to relax after a day of activities and sightseeing. But the absolute best thing about the house is its location, which could not be more central to everything. And...one morning we received homemade muffins!!

    Jim2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Bridget is an excellent host, and she has thought of everything. The space is just lovely. I especially enjoyed the cozy bedding and the snacks and drinks. It's also a very convenient downtown location.

  • Adorable spot located downtown. Very convenient for those looking to explore all the great restaurants and entertainment. Enjoyable stay.

  • Great spot in the heart of Anchorage close to bars and restaurants. Had a great time here for my first time in Anchorage.Highly recommeneded. thanks Bridget!

    Tony2018-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed with Bridget during our late winter vacation to Anchorage for two nights. We found the location to be central and the guest suite to be the perfect size for us. The moment we arrived, Bridgete made us feel right at home! Her guest suite was cozy and spacious enough for the two of us. A true gem in the city and is walking distance to many local attractions/eateries. Plus, her attention to small details and the house’s history are a welcomed feature. If you are staying in Anchorage, Bridget’s place is a must.

    Aram2018-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night and it was amazing. It was a super cute and fun place. The place was very clean and just felt very homey. We will definitely be visiting again!

  • This place is great if you want to be close to downtown. The communication worked well and the place is well equipped. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom but this is no problem.

    Patrick2018-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic experience. The room is clean, spacious, fully equipped with a kitchen, TV, walk-in closet, WI-FI, etc. Moreover, the apartment is located in a premium place, just 5 to 8 minutes walk to the city downtown. But the best thing were the host. What a wonderful couple! They were communicative and checking in with me in case I needed something else for breakfast (they fed me so well in the mornings!). Absolutely perfect, highly recommended. Thanks John & Kyong for everything!

This is an older home in one of the original neighborhoods in Anchorage, a 15 minute walk to the downtown restaurants and taverns, and just one block from an award winning bakery and coffee house. The cottage has two separate, small apartments in a quiet neighborhood of residential homes. If your dates are not available, please check out our other unit at the link below. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/26160196?s=51
You will find the cottage to be comfortable and designed for conversations and relaxation for after business or Alaska adventures. Each apartment has a separate bedroom and bath. The living area has original wood floors and the space can be described as intimate. The kitchen is well-loved. The cabinets are primitive and we are in process of updating, but for now, they are clean and sparsely supplied for cooking needs. The bedroom features a queen sized bed and the adjoining full bath filled with natural light.
    Quiet residential neighborhood
  • Great little place not far from downtown. Definitely better than most of the overpriced run down looking hotels in Anchorage. This place was exactly what it looked like and exactly what we expected. Check in was easy as can be and Jenny was very responsive to all communication

    John2018-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • The room was really hot. We had to open the window. The window at the living room cannot be opened. The TV is not plugged. The stove of the kitchen did not work. The location is really nearby the airport and downtown. The host Jenny is very responsive.

    Abhishek2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, stylish little cabin that fitted our basic needs. Only a few minutes drive from downtown and other restaurants/activities so we definitely enjoyed our stay there!

    Cija2018-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We thought this place was absolutely adorable, comfortable, and in a great location. We were unable to get the WiFi to work for the majority of our stay and could not get in on our first evening since we had been provided an incorrect PIN code for the front door.

    Kaitlin2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for walking into the downtown area. Parking is easy, communication and checkin was easy! Really cute place, with tasty local options nearby.

  • Cute apartment in the heart of Anchorage residential downtown area. The place is clean and in a safe area. No cable or TV viewing options unless you have your own streaming codes. Great spot! Didn’t meet host. She was available by text, although she seemed shocked that I had her phone number. Pleasant stay.

  • Great place to Stay for Downtown Anchorage Fun!

    Kelsey2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights. Downtown Anchorage is about 10-15 min walk that leads through a beautiful neighborhood and a really nice bakery (Fire Island Rustic Bakeshop). The place was small but bigger than how it may seem in the pictures. We would definitely book again if we visit Anchorage again.

A huge basement apartment with private entrance, laundry, kitchen amenities and full bathroom. We have kids and are thus family friendly! We live upstairs and love to learn about guests, especially for a chance to habla español. The location's ideal! Walking distance to the Delany Park Strip, the Coastal Trail, many restaurants, bars and cafes. As well as the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, the Anchorage Museum of Art, a small grocery store, fresh fish market and more!
Our basement apartment is large and private. The kitchen is full stocked with all your cooking needs. We love to prepare our own foods when we travel and want others to have that option of feeling like they are truly at home. There are window well windows so it's great for sleeping- even with the summer sun. Since we are right upstairs we can help with any questions or needs promptly- text is best. Check-in and check-out times can be adjusted as available so if you need to come early or stay late just ask and if we can we will happily accommodate the need. Otherwise please honor check-out at/before 11am and check-in is at/after 3pm. Thank you!
Our neighborhood is mostly quiet and residential. There are lots of crab apple trees heavy with fruit every fall and we are surrounded by beautiful colors from the birch trees. In the winter we are blessed with city maintained sidewalks, very easy to stay active spaces and great light, even if it's just a few hours. We can walk down to the greenbelt or Westchester Lagoon and easily to the downtown restuarants, bars, the museum and the performing arts center.
  • Meghan and Travis went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and gave us many wonderful suggestions for places to visit and eat in town. We tried to fit in as many of them as we could and we were not disappointed by any! They were incredibly gracious hosts and we very much enjoyed our stay.

  • The place was very good! Perfect location next to downtown, very nice neighbourhood. This quaint 900 sq ft basement apartment is your perfect home base for exploring downtown Anchorage! Near the museum, train station, cruise ship check-in, and the gorgeous Coastal Trail for walking/biking. We have a home upstairs and love living in this neighborhood. Walk to grab a few groceries from the city market (or farmers market on Saturdays), grab fresh baked goods from the local bakery, and enjoy the delicious locally roasted coffee shops.
The original home was built in 1941, the basement apartment was an addition in 2000. The space is ~900 sq. ft. and comfortably fits up to 4 guests. However, a family with children may fit more so please inquire for additional mattresses and info.
The south addition neighborhood is a wonderful blend of family homes, vacation rentals, and businesses. You’ll love exploring the local parks, bakeries, breweries, and accessible coastal walking/biking trail.

  • Great space! Small, but cozy and comfortable for two of us! A few breakfast items and bottled waters were nice touches and were much appreciated. Thank you!

  • Linda’s space was awesome! Brand new and very close to all that’s happening in Anchorage. My trip to Alaska was that much better with the coho salmon suite! Oh...she makes a great homemade granola, to boot!!

  • Our stay at Linda's place was great. Everything was perfect and as listed and then some. We will book again if our plans ever bring us back to Anchorage.

Experience Alaska in your very own private log cabin! Featured in 2018 by Women'sHealth Magazine, the Mayor’s cabin is located in downtown Anchorage and was built in 1946 by architect Maynard Taylor, who occupied the home with his wife and three kids while he was Mayor of Anchorage in the 1950s. Please message if you have any questions about the space or wish to inquire about alternative check-in/check-out times.
The cabin is perfectly situated in a residential neighborhood just a few blocks walk to downtown. Fully renovated, the cabin has new wiring and plumbing while still featuring its original solid log construction. The cabin has a full kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms. The cabin has bed space for up to four guests. Please message to inquire about space for additional guests. The main bedroom features a queen size bed and there are two additional very Alaskan (see pictures!) twin beds in the separate second bedroom. PLEASE NOTE: the bathroom is accessed through the main bedroom. There is both Apple TV (with Netflix) and fast WIFI. Enjoy the fully-fenced in yard and deck space -- perfect for summer BBQs, or building snowmen in the winter. The Mayor’s Cabin gives you a unique and authentic way to experience Anchorage and Alaska. With more room and personality than a hotel room, it's an ideal place to stay while in Anchorage for vacation or on business. The Mayor’s Cabin is a fun resting stop on your way out of town or your own personal retreat. ***Please Note: The cabin has seasonal pricing. Please enter the dates of your trip into the calendar to accurately see the price for the period in which you wish to stay.***
Located just a few blocks walk from downtown Anchorage, the cabin provides easy access to some of Anchorage’s best dining and shopping options. The neighborhood is safe and the cabin is very secure! You are just one block away from a local grocery and café with convenient access to area highways and the airport. There’s a reindeer in the neighborhood! Star the reindeer is just two blocks north on the corner of 10th and I.
  • My friends and I spent a quick weekend at Becky's cute little Anchorage cabin. The inside was bright and very nicely decorated. If you're looking for a cozy place to stay while in Alaska, I highly suggest the Mayor's Cabin. Becky was great from the beginning. She provides us with all the necessary information and check in/out was very smooth. She even gave us some suggestions for tours/restaurants/bars/etc. Highly recommended!

    Kimberly2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Mayor’s Cabin was the perfect place to relax between events. Stylishly modern. Conveniently located within walking distance to a grocery store, and bakery. Everything we needed was there. I noticed the traffic noise that others mention, but has no trouble sleeping without earplugs. At the end of our week, coming up I Street and seeing the cabin truly felt like coming home.

  • This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Anchorage! The location is fantastic, just a short walk from downtown and close to running trails. The cabin is comfortable and beautifully decorated - I couldn't recommend this house more!

    Betsy2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Becky is a great host. She gave us very detailed instructions on the directions and everything about the house and the neighborhood. The Mayor's cabin is very clean, warm and comfy, just as pictured. Highly recommended!

    Ivy2016-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is amazing and very easy to find because of the uniqueness! Checkin time is 3pm but we were able to arrive early to leave my stuffs in the cabin. Becky replies very quickly, very friendly and answer any questions I had (thank you!) There are restaurants recommendations and some other basic info provided to help making decisions. Oh and the double bed is super comfortable! :) Thank you for making our first trip to Alaska a memorable one, definitely would stay again when we visit again. :)

An 800 square foot cottage in Anchorage's South Addition, just south of downtown. Within walking distance of a bakery, grocery store, tennis courts, the Conoco/Phillips building, the 5th Avenue Mall, the Anchorage Museum, the Dena'ina Center, the Egan Center, the Performing Arts Center, the Sullivan Arena, and many other attractions. Near enough to walk to the start of the Iditarod sled dog race, or to the annual Fur Rendezvous Festival. Come enjoy downtown Anchorage.
A cozy little house, built just after WWII, this home is just right for a small family or group of friends who want to have the base of their Alaskan vacation near downtown Anchorage. The home has a deck, complete with a gas grill for outdoor cooking and dining when weather permits.
South Addition was one of the first areas in Anchorage to be settled. The block where Cedar Alley is located was originally part of a small farm that was subdivided early in WWII. As a web search for the neighborhood will reveal, South Addition is usually the number one subdivision in both Anchorage and Alaska. The Fire Island Bakery is one block south, and New Sagaya City Market, a specialty grocery shop, is just over 2 blocks west. There are two schools just a block to the east, complete with playgrounds, basketball courts, a soccer field, and a track for running. The Tony Knowles Coastal Trail is conveniently nearby, as are the attractions of downtown, including restaurants, bars, museums, parks, and tennis courts.
  • Pam thought of everything to make this our most enjoyable trip ever. We loved every thing about the house- beautiful flowers in bloom, every supply we needed, fresh raspberries growing on the patio, day trip recommendations, restaurant suggestions. We will return . Loved it ! Thank you

    Karen2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • We have travelled to many placed around the world and we have stayed in airbnb accommodation for most of our travels. Pam and Lee's accommodation far excedes any other accommodation that we have stayed in. They have seemingly thought of every need that a traveller may have - including essential oils, a range of food(and plenty of chocolate and coffee), toothbrushes, white noise machine and a very healthy and warm welcome :) Pam and Lee were always easy to contact if we needed anything at all and we loved chatting to them... We would recommend Cedar Alley to anyone! Thanks again guys xx

    Sal2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Pam & Lee have an amazing place in Cedar Alley. Theyve thought of everything! I couldn't have been more at home at home, even after long days at work. Won't consider a hotel in Anchorage again so long as their place is available.

    Jess2017-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Pam and Lee for the wonderful accommodations at Cedar Alley. It was very peaceful and comfortable which is what we really like after a long day. We were able to get our work done as well as relax and rest. Quyana!

    Kelly2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Cedar Alley and will be back! The house is lovely with lots of homey details like fresh flowers and art work. It is also stocked with tons of snacks and delicious muffins. It was an easy walk to downtown and the urban trail network. Thank you for a fantastic weekend at Cedar Alley!!

    Alison2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Cedar Alley for 6 days and had an amazing time. We actually only planned on staying for 4 days but extended as it was such a nice place to be. Conveniently located just a 10 minute walk to downtown with the New Sagaya City Market and Fire Island Bakery just a block away. The house was immaculate and we were so comfortable there that we just holed up and enjoyed the space most nights. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need and we enjoyed cooking lots in the kitchen. Pam and Lee were great hosts and made us feel very welcome right off the bat. Any questions we had were promptly answered and we felt like they there for us if we needed anything at all. I've stayed in quite a few AirBnB rentals the last few years and I couldn't recommend Cedar Alley any higher for someone looking to stay in Anchorage. Hoping to stay there again myself in the future!

Great place for Alaskans to stay while in town Christmas shopping. My place is in Downtown Anchorage with views of inlet; restaurants, art galleries 1-2 blocks; it is newly constructed and near walking trails. It is a good landing spot for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. It is the main floor of a 2 unit building.
This apartment is newly constructed with hardwood floors and in floor heating for upstairs apartment. New Kitchen appliances, tile bathrooms with granite counters. There is good parking on my property near the door. Both units have w/d. A total of four bedrooms are available if you have a larger group. Two of the bedrooms are in a deluxe unit upstairs and two on the main floor. Each have private entrances. The link to the upper suite is: https://www.airbnb.com/manage-listing/15618460/description
Christensen Drive is in an historical neighborhood in Anchorage, the site of some of the original homes. Some of the homes have become offices, but many still are residential. Anchorage was established in 1914 as a railroad construction port for the Alaska Railroad, which was built between 1915 and 1923. Ship Creek Landing, where the railroad headquarters is near Christensen Drive. Ship Creek was and is the epicenter of our fair city—an essential spot for both our Alaska Native Peoples and the Anchorage settlers. Home to fish camps and the First Salmon Ceremony by the Dena’ina, Ship Creek became the major focal point for the new city, as well as the entire Territory of Alaska. Today, Ship Creek is easily accessible to all, featuring hiking trails and fishing spots. Take a rod and reel and imagine the Dena’ina as they pitched their spring campsites to harvest the early run of King Salmon, hunt beluga whales, and commune with black and brown bears. The tradition is kept alive today with the annual Ship Creek Salmon Derby, a popular community event held each year. Ship Creek is within walking distance of Christensen Drive.
  • My parents and I stayed here for a week in December and LOVED it!! Everything feels very new (which it is) and is excellent condition. Linda clearly puts a lot of time and effort into making the unit cozy and we were so lucky to reap the benefits. As December guests, we were especially grateful for how snug the unit was. We would come home and turn up the heat and feel very comfortable right away. Furthermore, both bedrooms had their own separate thermostats! There is plenty of room for a group that is coming and going from the unit. If you want to spend a lot of time in the unit itself there are great windows with a view of the water (!!) and the living room space comfortably fits about four people. In addition to the lovely amenities of the unit itself, Linda went above and beyond checking in with us, leaving flowers and even breakfast snacks and coffee. She was always just a text away and really wanted us to be completely comfortable, which we were. This location is also fantastic, we were able to walk all over downtown and there was parking for our vehicle as well. I would recommend this for any combination of people traveling together.

    Katie2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Linda’s apartment was perfect for our 2 couples in town for 2 nights. Easy walking to the centre of town and close to great restaurants. We hired bikes just up the road and enjoyed the Coastal Trail immensely. Very reasonably priced. Linda was immediate with her responses and very helpful when needed. I recommend her place wholeheartedly.

    Sally2018-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Location is perfect for travelers--walking distance to weekend market, downtown dining and shopping, visitor center, and tours/pickups hotels. Linda has detailed activity suggestions and goes the extra mile to make guests feel at home. 2 beds and 2 baths give guests plenty of space and privacy. Highly recommend for trips to Anchorage!

    Kristen2017-06-20T00:00:00Z

  • I would highly recommend this unit. We stayed there with my sister and her husband and each had lovely comfortable bedrooms and a cheerful living and kitchen area. Linda left some breakfast items for us. The kitchen is well stocked. The washer and dryer are modern and available to use. The location is ideal for walking to restaurants and hiking trails. We highly recommend this unit.

  • Pros: Good location near downtown, easy drive from ANC, well stocked with stuff for snacks/coffee/beer/etc., interesting layout, quiet, private, everything worked fine, very clean, computer to use. Cons: loft bed area difficult to access and cramped for 2 adults, lots of extra nick-backs and clutter sometimes got in the way.

  • The Urban Cottage is an example of how the ideal Airbnb place should be. Tonio and Newtok are amazing hosts. Everything was simply amazing. I truly recommend Urban Cottage for everyone who is visiting Anchorage.

    Marianna2016-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house was great! It was well located and walking distance from downtown Anchorage and from New Sagaya grocery store (think local version of Whole Foods). Tonio's house had outstanding amenities and was very well stocked with everything you need for your stay. His kitchen had everything including several different coffee makers and great coffee. This was my first Airbnb stay and I think this house may have spoiled me.

    Daniel2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • The urban cottage is the kind of place that gives you so much more than you would have expected. The house is artfully designed with a number of oriental elements, and thoughtfully stocked with everything people would want for their kitchen. To live up to its name, the house temperature can be controlled by Nest, right on the wall by a fireplace. Besides the fabulous interior decoration, the house is very conveniently located near downtown, from where you can easily get to the beautiful coastal trail. Great bakery is also within walking distance. Tonio was super helpful and friendly to us. Will definitely introduce this place to anyone who's interested in a unique experience.

  • I can't even tell you how perfect this house is. Best place to stay in Anchorage! Newtok was there to greet us and is so friendly! Tonio is a genuinely great person and made sure our stay was great. I wish I could live in this house forever.

Welcome to Alaska! This charming, bright and newly renovated condo is in the heart of downtown Anchorage — perfect for those wanting to explore the area and business travelers working downtown. With its convenient location just a few blocks from City Market, the Park Strip, the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, downtown shopping, restaurants, nightlife and businesses, you won't need to rent a car. But, don't worry, if you have a car, there is off-street parking and a designated parking space.
This condo is located in downtown Anchorage's South Addition — two blocks from City Market (fresh market and cafe), a block from the Park Strip and two blocks from the heart of the city. The building itself is old — at one time government housing for Alaska Railroad workers — but the unit has been completely renovated with a clean and tasteful style. Everyone has their own idea of what feels like home. I've created a space that is gender neutral and tranquil, which I believe appeals to many. Above all, I take pride in providing you with a space that is clean, has all amenities you need and will make you feel at home during your visit. Whether you're traveling for holiday or business, you will be within walking distance from all city amenities including the Convention Center, the museum, trail system, shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Guests will enjoy a fully furnished condo with television, high speed internet and cable, as well as access to Netflix and HBONow on both Roku and Google Chrome. A Sonos speaker is provided, which will allow you to stream your music library during your stay. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, toaster, coffee maker, blender and everything you'll need to make yourself at home. Additionally, a laptop computer is located on a desk in the living area for guest convenience. The bedroom has one queen size bed. A rollaway bed is provided in the bedroom closet to sleep an additional guest and the sofa can also be utilized for sleeping with bedding provided. Don't worry about bringing along shampoo, conditioner, soap and hairdryer as all are provided to guests. If you find yourself needing anything additional, I am a phone call or text away and will do my best to accommodate your request.
This condo is located in the historic downtown neighborhood -- the oldest and most charming location for visitors. The location provides easy access to markets, shopping and myriad outdoor activities. The building itself is old, however, the unit has been completely renovated and is clean and modern.
  • L'appartement de Jennifer est vraiment superbe! Proche de tout, de plus Jennifer nous avait fait une feuille de route de tous les points d'intérêt. Nous recommendons fortement cette place. Ca a été un vrai plaisir!

  • Wonderful stay! I highly recommend this modern, charming, and perfectly furnished condo which is central to lots of activities (and amazing food) that Alaska has to offer. Jennifer is the perfect host and we hope to be back soon!

    Lindsay2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • The condo was fantastic and met all our needs. Everything was spotless and felt brand new. This was our family's first time to Alaska and Jennifer was quick to answer all of my questions (even before I booked her place). The check-in was super easy. Our flight got in at midnight, so it was great to be able to just let ourselves in with the door code at 1 a.m. The location is great! Just a few short blocks from downtown with all the touristy stuff including the Sunday Market, breweries, restaurants, the mall and easy access to the coastal trail. We walked just a couple blocks to rent bikes for the coastal trail. There is a great little grocery store only 2 blocks away too (opposite direction from downtown). Jennifer had Alaska travel books and Anchorage area hiking books for use and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, even a welcome bottle of wine, chocolate and to die for macaroons. We didn't have a car for the first 2 days and didn't need it, but I wouldn't go more than 2 days unless you book a train adventure. The only thing this place is missing is an outside area to enjoy, but otherwise, it's great! We were a little nervous about the appearance of the building, but the condo itself is SUPER nice, and nothing wrong with the building, it just has an older feel.

    Heather2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer’s place is a sparkling gem of an apartment unit located in a central part of downtown. My husband and I were a short walk to everything we could possibly want to do — whether it be find a brew pub, a cafe for a breakfast coffee, bikes for rent, a stroll or run along the sea wall, you name it. Jennifer is an extremely responsive and diligent Super Host. We so appreciated how the place seems to have been newly remodeled. It was fresh and clean, and Jennifer clearly has a lovely and serene design aesthetic. Oh, and the apartment building is so very quiet. Would highly recommend staying at her place.

    Renate2018-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • First time in Alaska, apartment was well maintained, equipped with all our necessities. Great host! We rented a car so it was nice having a designated parking spot. Laundry on site. Everything you'll need to make yourself comfortable. Very detailed oriented, there was a book of helpful tips to get your vaca planning started. Located downtown, but not walking distance. Nevertheless you can take uber or drive.

    Andrew2018-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful apartment, perfectly decorated and accessorized with the most thoughtful touches. Extremely clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

    Rebecca2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny provides a wonderfully updated space with so many little touches that you never would have even thought of. Checking in was a breeze with the codes to get in the doors. My husband and I were amazed at how nice it was inside this condo. And close to so many great things. If we had come in the summer we could have just walked to dinner. Cant wait to stay again.

  • A great place to stay in Anchorage with easy parking and access to the condo. The contemporary style is a breath of fresh air and the clean well kept environment is tough to beat. The master bedroom has a very comfortable bed and black out blinds that provide a welcomed dark sleep in a light Alaska summer!

  • Exactly as advertised. Great location, quiet and very private. Having a washer and drying inside the unit was wonderful. Allowed us to pack less which made traveling so much easier. Clean unit with basically everything you need for a at home feel while on vacation.

  • There were three of us staying here for four days to attend a New Year’s family wedding and Lily and Tim were amazing hosts the entire time. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked (we made breakfast every morning w/no problems, and Lily started us off with a small bag of local coffee that was delicious!). It is a warm, cozy, and comfortable home. Lily and Tom were great to communicate with, gave us some excellent restaurant suggestions, and timely (and very kindly!) responded to questions/txts. Awesome experience all around, and Anchorage is a gorgeous place to visit!

Newly constructed, one bedroom apartment, above the garage, which is available for your use, in walking distance of restaurants, convention center, Nesbitt Courthouse, Performing Arts Center, locally owned bakery/coffee shop/grocery market, paved trail system. Great care was taken in the design and decor. We are so excited to share the space with you while you adventure in Alaska! No smoking.
Brand new construction, open/spacious, fully equipped kitchen, soaker tub and shower, tv, wifi, sleeper sofa, large deck with outdoor seating. Must be able to navigate stairs. Sorry, there is no elevator.
Great mountain view. Walking distance to downtown, local bakery, local grocery/coffee shop. Very close to paved trail system. 10-15 minute drive to airport. All houses in the neighborhood are architecturally different/unique. Very quiet neighborhood.
  • Teresa’s space is absolutely fantastic. She has provided you with everything you could possibly need and then some. After camping for a week it was great to have laundry in the unit. She provided great recommendations for things to do around town and this location is definitely within walking distance to great restaurants and the main part of downtown. Absolutely stay here if you can!

    Kristen2018-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Teresa’s place is wonderful, comfortable, peaceful and felt safe. My flight got in very late and she welcomed me and showed me around. Throughout the week she was very responsive to questions and provided wonderful suggestions for pastries and dinner! Her space is so convenient to downtown and trails and ended up being a perfect alternative to a hotel. Highly recommend!

    Kate2018-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful apartment an easy 10-15 min walk from downtown. Teresa was great about communicating in advance, helping find the location and meeting us for check in.

  • Teresa is a kind and thoughtful host! She stayed up until midnight to greet me. Her place is immaculate with many extra touches such as hearty soups, organic foods and even a giant can of Alaskan beer in the fridge. You will love it.

  • Teresa is an incredible host. Considerate, communicative, friendly, and timely. On top of that the place itself has an unbeatable location being centrally located yet quiet and private and is immaculate with every attention to detail accounted for to make the stay perfect.

  • Teresa’s place is amazing! It is conveniently located in a very mellow neighborhood a few minutes drive from everything including lovely parks, dining, groceries as well as the downtown scene. I really enjoyed my stay. It was quiet, private, comfortable, well appointed, and perfect for my travel needs. I could not have asked for a better experience while I was in town for a quickness business trip. Teresa was very kind, helpful and incredibly responsive whenever I needed assistance. Love the place and will definitely stay here again when I return.

You'll love our Executive Suite which is downtown and within walking distance of the Delaney Park Strip, Museums, Tennis Courts, the Dena'ina and Egan Convention Centers, Events, the Iditarod and Fur Rondy race starts, Parks, Basketball & Sand Volley Ball courts, Restaurants, the Conoco Building Tower, 5th Avenue Shopping Mall, Downtown Market, New Sagaya City Market, Coffee shops, Bakeries, the Federal Building, and more! Great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families!
The Executive Suite is a 900 sf remodeled suite with warm lighting and designer flooring. It was designed to bring in just as much natural light as any ground floor suite with high end quality lighting to boot! The biggest perk is the 25 sf tiled shower with three shower heads, including a decedent rain shower head! The bathroom has a double vanity and the common area comes with an additional sleeping space, living area, and kitchenette.
The Executive Suite is located in an established neighborhood, on a quiet street. The location is excellent being near just about everything in Downtown Anchorage. Great for just about any traveler (s).
  • The basement apartment is super nice and well furnished. Even as a basement level, it gets good light. It is located in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown. The only thing I was not happy with was the bed. It was very soft. Other than that it was great.

    Hector2018-04-30T00:00:00Z

  • This clean, spacious basement apartment is perfect for multiple nights. The rooms are spacious and provide an open feel. The bathroom is a particular highlight with the large vanity and, of course, the shower. I would stay there without hesitation if I return to Anchorage. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, easy parking, and just off the beaten path enough to enhance a great time in Alaska. Highly recommend that travelers stay here!

The best thing about this studio, is the location. When visiting Anchorage, it just does not get much better than this. A comfortable king sized bed, a nice big shower, a room darkening blind, a nice size flat screen smart TV Netflix account, Wifi, and a well equipped kitchen. It is just the perfect size for two people. The building is secure, and very quiet. Sorry, there are restrictions against pets and quiet time is pretty important to the neighbors, but everybody gets a good night's sleep.
Our lovely old secure building is mostly occupied by owners who have lived in the building for many years. We respectfully request that our guests do not allow people to piggyback into the building who do not have a key. The vestibule locks at 7:00 PM and the building is occupied by people who enjoy quiet time after 10:00 PM, so we are not really a place for people who enjoy hosting parties. We are more about a peaceful, quiet and safe environment for everybody in our building.
The neighborhood is pretty great! You will be close to the train station, the coastal trail, all of the downtown restaurants, art galleries, the mall and the museum. It is just across the street from the Hilton Hotel, and there are always taxi cabs right outside of the hotel. If you have time, just use google maps to get a street view of the area.
  • Perfect location in a very safe building in downtown Anchorage.

    Laura2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Carrie was fantastic & got in touch with me before we reached Anchorage. The apartment is wonderful with a big bed & washing machine on the 1st floor.

    Fiona2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Carrie’s place is just as pictured and described. The location is in an awesome downtown area making it easy to walk to shopping, entertainment, and great restaurants. The condo is complete with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Carrie is easy to communicate with and very responsive! Definitely a great stay at a great place with a great host! (Be sure to check out 49th State Brewery and Wild Scoops!)

    Darlene2018-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Warm, cozy and welcoming. The neighbors are pleasant and the complex is secure and in the middle of the fun spots to hit - I can’t recommend 49th brewery enough! Stop searching and just book this place. : )

New construction in historic South Addition neighborhood, 3 blocks from Fire Island Bakery and downtown park strip. Skyline and Chugach Mountain views with large south facing wall of windows (with blackout shades).
Located above 4 car garage, accessible by stairs only. Washer and dryer in apartment. Fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, including gas cooktop and oven and dishwasher. Private loft patio, perfect for visiting and relaxing.
The neighborhood is close enough to downtown to walk to museums and restaurants and the Tony Knowles trail, but far enough to be private and quiet for maximum relaxation.
  • This place is a definite WOW! The entire interior space has a very modern yet natural feel to it. The furnishings were very stylish and the bathroom was like a spa. The kitchen was great and the in-unit washer/dryer were very convenient. Melissa was there to meet us on arrival and was a great host. There was a little welcome basket of goodies which was a nice touch. FYI the bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. We had our 2 daughters sleeping on the pull-out sofa bed and since they had to go through the bedroom to use the bathroom our room was not private, but that wasn't much of a problem.

  • Excellent place to stay. Very close to downtown and beautiful space, linens, super clean and organized.

    Marianne2018-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderfully stylish place to stay. The owners obviously put a great deal of thought and planning into this property, it has a great feel and spacious heated covered patio which is a great place even when the weather is less than cooperative.

    Janelle2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my wife stayed at this air bnb which happened to be close to a relative we were visiting. We were blown away at how beautiful and modern this space is. Very private and on the corner of property and also upstairs with only a storage space below....it doesn't even feel like sharing a space on the property. We loved the hosts fast communication and availability for local tips or just to stop by to say hi as a good neighbor. Bathroom / shower is exquisite and almost better than most 3 star or above hotels. great place to have visitors over and cook for them. Would refer to my friends to rent this place and stay again ourselves. Beautiful Views and love the natural lighting and patio sitting area.

  • This was a really great place to stay. In a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to bakery for morning pastries. Easy access to downtown restaurant by car or on foot. Built in 1941 this original Anchorage home is full of charm and history. Located in downtown Anchorage, it is within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, museums, walking/biking trails, the Park Strip, and a local grocery store. The home has a full, private yard, with a grill, raspberry bushes, and patio furniture, making it a great getaway from the bustle of downtown. Come stay in a piece of Anchorage's history while enjoying all the amenities of home.
As a young city, Anchorage has few homes built prior to the 1960s. The house was built in 1941 and during a time when this part of Anchorage was considered the outskirts of town. The downtown Park Strip which runs along 9th Avenue from A Street to P Street used to be the main airport landing strip and the home was used by pilots. The home is one of the few remaining "pilot" homes in downtown. Before placing the home on AirBNB, we lived in this house for almost 20 years and hope to continue to preserve it. With your stay you are helping to keep this wonderful historic pilot home around forever. We hope you enjoy this wonderful part of Anchorage history as much as we do.
This is a great, quiet, and friendly neighborhood only 10 minutes from the airport and a 5 minute walk to downtown Anchorage. New Sagaya City Market is a small, gourmet grocery store is a block and a half away. You can buy grocery items, enjoy good food, coffee and outdoor seating for great people watching. A short walk away at G Street and 14th is Fire Island Bakery is Anchorage's best bakery shop where you can get fresh and delicious breads, breakfast pastries, sandwiches, soups and desserts. They make the best chocolate cupcake of all time. Only one block away, the PubHouse restaurant in the Inlet Towers Hotel offers dinner options as well as a bar. You can access Anchorage's extensive trail system within a five minute walk. There you can enjoy running, walking, biking, skiing etc. In the summer, there are free yoga and exercise classes on the Park Strip on weeknights and various fun events on weekends. On the way to the Park Strip is our neighborhood reindeer, Starr, who lives in a house on I Street and 10th Avenue. Just past the Park Strip is the heart of downtown.
  • Great place to stay, clean, comfortable, and convenient. Ease of walking to downtown venues, the parkstrip, and coastal trail were greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay there again.

  • The Pilot House/Periwinkle provided by Maria is beyond description. I have never stayed out of town where I have felt more at home. This house and the space is special. I stayed for a couple of weeks and did not want to leave. It is walking distance to downtown Anchorage and the Museum. If new to Anchorage, check out the museum. Parking in the back of the house is convenient, Maria even had snow scrapers hanging on the garage for guests. The house is spotless with kitchen gadgets, full fridge, laundry, and a clean and large bathroom. An added bonus is the amount of hooks and hangers Maria provides. Maria replies instantly to any concerns and cares about her guests. I will definitely staying at the Pilot House/Periwinkle again. Thanks Maria!

    George2019-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Maria and Anne Marie's was one of my favorite parts of my time in Alaska. Their place is cozy, charming, convenient, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The guidebook Maria provided was incredibly helpful and we loved having local recommendations. We loved utilizing the grill for a night in as well. I highly suggest their home for any trip to Anchorage!

    Jessica2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Maria is a great host. The house is super well equipped and has loads of charm. Easy walk to downtown restaurants.

    Eric2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Maria’s home is an invitation to relax and get comfortable in a neighborhood of downtown Anchorage that is worth settling into. Within walking distance of Fire Island Bakery and local attractions, she has created a home filled with eclectic local art and a beautiful yard with privacy from the Main Street because of well thought out landscaping. The touch of color throughout her home inspire a place of fun as brighten up the occasional rainy days in Anchorage. And for the days you want to read and relax in bed after a jacuzzi tub - the linens will await fresh and so so soft! Maria’s home was the perfect place for us and our four month old daughter as we took the time to explore and relax in a place meant to make you feel at home.

Our neighborhood is called The South Addition. It's a quiet, residential neighborhood of single family homes. It's the closest residential neighborhood to downtown Anchorage, as close as you can get to downtown Anchorage and still be in a residential area. The downtown visitor core of Anchorage is a 5-block walk, with dozens of restaurants and attractions, the Anchorage Museum, The Performing Arts Center, and much more. Surrounded by parks and playgrounds. Two grocery stores within walking distance. Very suitable for younger kids -- three playgrounds are a short walk. Close to the gorgeous Coastal Trail (highly recommended for walking and biking).
  • We just got back from a week at The Lazy Raven and I cannot say enough good things! The place is so cozy and it was really nice to come back here after our daily adventures. It felt like being at home. We were very close to everything in the downtown area and Paul left a packet of recommendations for us which also really helped. The place was very roomy and having a full kitchen was really nice. Thank you so much Paul! We've already talked about coming back to stay again in the future!

    Lydia2014-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Paul is a great host who took care of all our needs during our stay. Although we didn't get a chance to meet him in person, he responded to our messages very quickly. The apartment is very clean, warm and pretty. It has all the essentials for staying. We enjoyed our stay here. Definitely recommended!

  • The Lazy Raven was a haven for my husband and myself while in Anchorage . The apartment came fully equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. The moment I opened the door it was evident that Paul took pride in the cleanliness and appearance of his rental apartment . The Lazy Raven is within walking distance of downtown and all it has to offer;, restaurants , art galleries , shopping, entertainment , the trolley and parks . I would definitely recommend everyone coming to Anchorage to stay here. You will not be disappointed . Paul is a perfect host. He has a welcome book explaining how everything works and gives suggestions of things to do around Anchorage . The kitchen was supplied with breakfast items along with a welcoming bottle of wine; nice touch and most appreciated . This rental property is perfect for families with children , as well as couples young and old.

  • The apartment/guest house was amazing in every way. The location was perfect -- about 10 minutes walk to the heart of downtown, and the same to the place where I had to go for work. I stayed at the apartment for almost 3 weeks, and Paul was an exceptional host, taking care to message me from time to time, to ask if everything was satisfactory, and offering me information on some cool sights (Delaney Park is right next door, by the way!), but taking care to not intrude. The apartment was also stocked with all sorts of supplies that anyone might require, including cleaning and cooking material, ingredients, and utensils. Paul also provided a detailed booklet with some fantastic insider information about Anchorage (favorite restaurants!), as well as a bunch of travel brochures and books to use for sightseeing. All in all, I had a wonderful time in Anchorage, and a great deal of it was because of this fantastic apartment. (PS: There was free wi-fi, which a lot of hotels make you pay for, AND a fully functional in-unit washer-dryer!)

    Rahul2014-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Paul was a wonderful host, before we arrived he made sure we had the instructions to his place and it was spot on. We found his place with no trouble even when we drove ourselves. We were more amazed by how thoughtful the whole apartment was. Fridge was stocked up and whenever we opened the other drawers and cupboards we found everything that we needed. Paul was also very sweet to check on us now and then even came over to check with us when there was an earthquake. Clean and beautiful apartment. Couldn't ask for any better :)

  • Stayed here a second time during a road trip in south central Alaska. Great home base in Anchorage! Comfortable, clean, easy to walk to things in downtown. Recommended.

  • Nice little place, comfortable bed, has everything you need and Larry is extremely hospitable.

    Elliot2016-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • I think this apartment is even nicer than the photos in the listing show. It's the perfect size for 1-2 travelers and has everything you'll need for a little getaway. Bonus points for access to a washer and dryer; close proximity to a trail that will take you to the very popular and beautiful coastal trail; walking distance to parks and downtown area; lots of free street parking available; complimentary breakfast at the nearby bed & breakfast; such warm and welcoming hosts. The only minor issue I had was with the wifi...the signal is not strong from the bedroom and I kept having to re-connect or go to the living room for a stronger signal. No big deal actually...maybe it was nature's way of telling me to get off my phone/computer and go explore Alaska!

  • When we got to anchorage, we stopped by the host home (Larry) and he was so great! He welcomed us and showed us to the house and explained everything. He was very cordial and helpful. He even cooked us a wonderful breakfast that next weekend! We were in anchorage for an entire month, and the location was perfect! We were a 5 minute walk downtown, and a block away from the market. The space was a little small for staying an entire month, but we didn't spend too much time in the house. Overall great experience and would rent from Larry again!

    Kristina2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was exactly as described and as it appeared in the pictures. Larry was a very gracious host, and a pleasure to chat with about Anchorage and our mutual interests. The location was perfect for our downtown event, we were able to walk there and back in the beautiful summer Alaskan sunshine (even though we came back after 10:00pm)! Our breakfast at the nearby B&B was delicious, and we will definitely look into staying at one of Larry & Allen's properties the next time we visit Alaska. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    Heather2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our time at Larry's apartment and our experience throughout. A couple weeks ahead of our trip Larry called to check in with us to confirm the details of our trip. Once we got there we were checked in by Stephanie. The apartment is very close to the central downtown area of Anchorage and is walkable to everywhere we wanted to go during our stay. Included with the unit was breakfast as well. Stephanie was helpful and friendly and she gave us great recommendations on things to do and see.

    Jimmy2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Larry's place is well within walking distance for all your downtown adventures. Plus, the kitchenette was a nice feature as we were able to save some money and cook a few meals. Larry is an excellent host, I highly recommend!

    Jacob2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very close to all down town and we were able to walk everywhere. Not far from airport only about 15 mins by taxi. 20 mins easy walk to the train station. Great for us to base ourselves for our 5 nights in anchorage.

This is a second story downtown deluxe suite with views of inlet. 2 blocks from court house, restaurants, art galleries, near coastal trail. This beautiful top floor apartment has granite counters, wall fireplace, large deck, soaking tub, and full laundry. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families, and big groups. Take advantage of fall/winter rates. Visiting family in Anchorage, shopping or medical appointments.
This is my top floor luxury suite, newly constructed with hardwood floors and in floor heating. New Kitchen appliances, tile bathrooms with granite counters. There is good parking on my property near the door. Both units have w/d. If more space is needed for families or friends there are two downstairs units available at this link:https://www.airbnb.com/manage-listing/13803447/description. Each suite has a private entrance. I can put an twin bed in a small room for an extra $50. We stock the kitchen with healthy breakfast food.
Christensen Drive is in a historical neighborhood in Anchorage, the site of some of the original homes. The tradition is kept alive today with the annual Ship Creek Salmon Derby, a popular community event held each summer. Ship Creek is within walking distance of Christensen Drive.
  • The apartment, check-n and communications with the host were all very good. Nice, clean, and location to downtown Anchorage was very good. My only complaint is the train horns were loud and early in the morning. Seems like five or six trains departed in sequence, beginning about 6:30 AM every morning. All blowing their horns two to three times each. If you wanted to wake up every morning at 6:30 you wouldn't need an alarm clock.

    Bob2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • The house is lovely, very close to downtown, very clean (like the images). It has a very large and nice terrace to sit and enjoy the view and sunset, or BBQ with a new grill they have installed. You would find all the appliances you might need in their modern kitchen. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and modern. Linda was very kind and helpful in finding attractions in the city and very fast in answering your questions. The only issue with the house which might bother some people is that you might be waken up in midnight by the consecutive horn of passing trains.

  • We booked both suites for four people on a business trip to Anchorage. The accommodation is modern, clean, and very comfortable. Linda, our host, provided all necessary information for getting in and planning our stay. She also surprised us with some breakfast items including homemade granola which was delicious. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

The suite is located in an established, quiet neighborhood. There is very little through traffic.
  • As other guests have noted, the location is very good. We didn't rent a car and were able to walk to a supermarket as well as a good bakery (Fire Island) nearby, and to restaurants downtown. The managers were very responsive and personable, and it was a pleasure to meet them. The house did get pretty hot and bright while we were there in early July, though I think we caught Anchorage during the hottest days of this year. The second bedroom could also have used some blackout curtains since the sun doesn't set until about midnight at this time of year. Overall, though, we still had a nice stay.

    Jane2018-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beds and pillows are VERY comfortable. Walking distance to green park and downtown. Public Curbside parking-not an issue. Quiet neighborhood. Nice eat in kitchen and big double shower. Fans in bedrooms-cooled off rooms very well. Drip coffee maker but no coffee provided. Very little shower gel/shampoo/conditioner. Overall stay was comfortable.

    Chelsea2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house was in a great location. The entire downtown is accessible within walking distance. The unit is within a house that contains two units, but they are well-separated with distinct entrances.

  • The hosts were professional, kind and understanding. I was very pleased.

  • We had a wonderful 4 night stay in Anchorage at Tim and Lily’s place. The keyless entry made things very convenient for us. The location is perfect and a quick 5 minute drive to downtown. It was only a 10-15 minute drive to other places in Anchorage. The bathroom with the double shower head was awesome. Thank you for plenty of towels! We also loved the hardwood throughout the house. It was perfect for our mini getaway.

    Amy2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Tim was very quick to respond to any of our needs.

    Kristin2018-04-18T00:00:00Z

This 5 bedroom home sleeps 13, with potential to sleep 21 with adjacent 5 studio apartments (ask for details.) Great for extended families, work groups, retreats, etc. Look to the north to enjoy city and mountain views. This property offers a large kitchen and dining area, living room, 4 full baths, 2 half baths, laundry, 3 televisions, and a large deck with city views. Conveniently located in a mixed use neighborhood on the lower "Hillside" close to the Alaska Zoo and O'Malley Golf Course.
On the upper level, there is a large family room and the master bedroom. The living room has a 56" TV, wet bar, 25 foot ceilings with lots of windows to enjoy the city and mountain views, and a queen sleeper sofa. The master bedroom features a king bed (can be split in to two extra long twins), fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and separate walk in shower. Off of the master, there is a sitting room with twin sleeper sofa, and a private deck. (ALL FIREPLACES ARE FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSES ONLY.) On the main level you will find, the large deck with partial views, kitchen, large dining area, an entry sitting area, a second living room, laundry room and 4 bedrooms. There are two bedrooms with their own private baths, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds (or a converted king bed) and its own kitchen and a TV. There are two additional bedrooms that share a bath in the hall, one with two twin beds which can be converted into a king bed and the other has a queen bed. In the lower level living room, there is a comfortable leather couch, two chairs, and USB electric outlets. This location is just 15 minutes from downtown and the airport. Chugach State Park trails, restaurants and shopping are just a short drive away. This is a great location for those with a car that want to be close to all the amenities, but not in the commotion of downtown.
Lower Hillside neighborhood in Anchorage. This is a mixed use neighborhood with homes, a church and a roofing / storage facility. While the roofing and storage business to the south of us is a quiet business, this is not the side of the property with scenic views. To the north, enjoy city and mountain views. To the east enjoy the Chugach mountains, and to the west enjoy partial water views, depending on foliage, and views of Mt. Susitna across the inlet.
  • great place

  • OVERALL: 5-stars STAY: 3 nights, 11 people PROS: great location, very responsive host, wifi, lots of seating and dishes for our large group at meals, 5 bathrooms!!, roomy, most kitchen and bathroom amenities were brand new. CONS: none, very satisfied

    Joann2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place exceeded our expectations! The location was good. It was close to the airport and anything else in Anchorage was a short drive away. The house was humongous. Mostly everyone was able to get their own room. The king bed bedrooms themselves were large. The two twin beds are in the same room, but every bed get it's own room otherwise. On top of the rooms, there was a kitchen, dining room, and living room, all incredibly spacious. The number of bathrooms was also perfect for us: 3 full and 2 halves. The place was kept in a very good condition. We didn't even find any insects throughout our stay. It was well stocked with dishware and silverware, so no need to worry about those. Towels and toilet paper also all provided. We thought this AirBnB was a great value. It felt more like a 5 star hotel, even though the cost was comparable to 2 and 3 star hotels in the area. All in all, if I ever come back to Anchorage, the first thing I'll do is see if this place is available.

  • Our family was SO happy at Tracy's place...everyone wanted to move in. The location was perfect--easy driving distance to everywhere we wanted to go, and--if you like walking--easy walking distance to a good grocery store, an excellent running store, the bike rental place, our new favorite taco truck, restaurants, etc. The home itself could not have been more comfortable and thoughtful--everything from a well stocked kitchen including spices, and everything being so clean and beautiful and easy. We cannot say enough good things--if we are lucky enough to come to Anchorage again, we will look to stay here again. Love love loved it.
