Hi, I am Rob! We would like to provide a pleasant and affordable place to stay! Walking distance to the zoo and the museum, restaurants and dining, public transport. Downtown is 10- 15 minutes. 25 min from the airport and an easy hop onto I 70 . You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the kitchen, the high ceilings, the light and the outdoor space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families with kids and business travelers. Blackout curtains and quiet at night
Near to city park and that iconic view of the park with the skyline and mountain backdrop. Wonderful neighborhood with wide sidewalks and large trees. Quiet street with free parking. Our home was built in 1926 and has that lovely architectural detail you see in older homes. This is a fun room. We have decorated with art that we have collected from around the world. There are books on the shelf and games in the closet.
Wonderful walkable neighborhood. This is a historic neighborhood in Park Hill. You can walk to the Cherry Tomato for dinner, Spinelli's market for a sandwich or Denver Biscuit company for brunch. There are tons of other options a close distance away. We are close to the zoo. If you are lucky you will hear the the lions roaring at night!

We are within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, ice cream, music venues, as well as the Denver Zoo, Museum of Nature and Science, and City Park. Downtown Denver is a short bike or bus ride away. Please note, this listing is for the finished basement which includes a private bedroom, large private living room with additional beds, and access to a large 3 season room and backyard. It does not include access to the entire home.
Rental includes a private room with a queen bed(sleeps 2). Large private living space with a tv, futon(sleeps 2), two couch/beds(both sleeps 1), washer/dryer, microwave, mini fridge, dishes, tea kettle, tea, coffee, & oatmeal. The living space is separated from the rear entrance door by a door. Also note, since you are in our basement, you will hear footsteps. We are up early on the weekdays. We are off of Colfax Avenue, which is home to some of Denver's best restaurants, bars, music venues and retailers.

City Park, the largest park in Denver, is a block and a half north of our Airbnb space. You will not miss it. In the extended park boundaries you will find: The Museum of Nature and Science Gates Planetarium An IMax Theater The Denver Zoo Softball fields Tennis courts A small lake with paddle boats you can rent Many birds, most notably geese Lots of flowers and green spaces (seasonal). Children’s playgrounds Incredible mountain and Denver skyline views Lots of trees, grass, and nature. (great for clearing the mind) Colfax Ave . . . is the longest commercial street in America (26.5 miles). The rumor that Playboy magazine dubbed it “the longest, wickedest street in America," may be an urban myth, and for the most part the street has left behind what gritty past it may have had. It now boasts many fine dining establishments, multiple entertainment venues, a world class book store, and stores and shops to provide almost anything you might need. This will not require you having to traverse the entire 26 mile corridor. Within six blocks in either direction you have a plethora of restaurants to choose from (American, Italian, Thai, Ethiopian, Mexican, Barbecue. Indian, Asian fusion, etc.) a Sprouts Farmers Market, Sie Film Center, Tattered Cover Book Store, Groundswell Cannabis Boutique, many hair and manicure salons, dry cleaners, coffee shops, specialty clothing shops, liquor stores, dental facilities, and mom and pop retail and service establishments. This 600 square-foot apartment was recently remodeled and has a private entrance on the side of our home. As you enter the apartment you’ll find a coat closet for your jackets and shoes, then you’ll walk into the main living area which includes a cozy living room, dining area, and separate lounge area with a comfortable queen-size convertible bed. Down the hall you’ll find a kitchenette with a Keurig coffee maker (coffee provided), small refrigerator, microwave, and dishes (if needed – there are so many great restaurant options in the area!). Next you’ll find a good size bedroom with a queen-size bed, walk-in closet, and chest of drawers. At the end of the hall is a nicely finished bathroom with quartz countertops, a tub/shower combo and fresh towels. NOTE: There are seven windows in the apartment and both the bedroom and living area have egress windows which provide plenty of natural light. We have high speed wireless, a 47” HD television with Roku and a Sling Blue TV streaming subscription. Sling Blue will be showing all World Cup matches this summer for soccer fans. The Roku also allows you to login to any of your favorite streaming services (Netflix, Amazon, etc.). This is a family friendly apartment with some toys/puzzles and a pack and play for those traveling with an infant. It has a separate heating zone and thermostat so you can make yourselves comfortable.
As mentioned in the summary, this is a fantastic neighborhood with everything you need within walking distance. We are less than three miles from downtown and Cherry Creek which is an easy bus ride, city bike ride, or quick Lyft ride away. Why do we call it the City Park Cottage? Well, it's a beautiful home within steps of City Park! This unbeatable location is also two blocks from historic Colfax Avenue with the best of Denver's restaurants, breweries and music venues. Guests are just a walk away from the park to the Zoo or the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. In the front of the home, there's a beautiful, private patio. Enjoy the seating area space and fire up the grill for a great lunch on warm, sunny days!
The City Park Cottage has two levels, as well as three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. On the top floor, guests will find the first full bathroom and two bedrooms. The bedroom on the right features two twin beds. On the left, guests will find another bedroom with a queen bed. Around the corner from the bedrooms, the guests will be the dining and living room. The room has an open layout that provides an abundance of natural light. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil and appliances one would need to make a delicious home cooked meal. Downstairs, there is an additional bedroom with a queen bed, as well as the second bathroom with a shower. Nestled in the corner is the Home Theater that features a projection screen with Netflix. Close the blind and relax after a long day of adventuring in Denver!
You could very easily make the argument that City Park is Denver’s best park. It’s got everything, including two lakes, two playgrounds, historical monuments, the City Park Golf Course (under construction, re-opening in 2019), tennis courts, baseball, football and soccer fields. It’s the staging site of road races, including the Colfax Marathon, and home to festivals like City Park Jazz. It also has the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. You could have quite a day without ever leaving the park! Come home to a charming Tudor style home. Guest wing is completely yours and is not a shared space. You would have full use of a kitchen that is not shared with host or other guests. With 2 completely private entrances the wing includes a living room with a fire place, dining room, powder room, stainless and granite kitchen, a tv area, a large bedroom with a king size bed with quality linens, walk in closet, a granite and corian bathroom complete with a walk in shower and a 2 person jetted bath tub. There is a laundry room complete with iron and ironing board. Direct TV and Wifi are provided.
Our home is landscaped on all 4 sides. The gardens were the featured gardens of the 2013 Park Hill Garden Walk. The grounds are beautiful regardless of the season. South Park Hill is one of the nicest historical neighborhoods of Denver. Close to bars, restaurants and shops. The Governor's private home is 5 blocks from our residence. City Park (directly across from our property) was designed by Frederick Olmstead the designer of Central Park in New York City and the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

(***ASK ABOUT MONTHLY LONG TERM RATES FOR JANUARY and FEBRUARY 2021*** Other months have a built in discount but I can negotiate for January and February ) My home was built in 1907 and maintains its original charm. The kitchen was renovated to include professional appliances and the open floor plan allows for guests to interact freely from garden to kitchen to living room to the porch. A real flow... The bedrooms are small but comfy. Master bedroom has a king-size bed (with pillow top mattress and guests that have absolutely raved about how incredibly comfortable it is!) The other bedroom has a newly acquired queen bed with an amazingly comfortable mattress. There is Wi-Fi of course and a brand new 55" Roku TV with HBO Go, Netflix, ESPN and Amazon Prime Video apps there for you to use (and also a few dozen DVD's to play on the now "old school" Blu-Ray player if all of the choices on TV is not already enough). Vizio soundbar gives off great sound. The house has central heat/AC and everything is solar powered! The garden is a nice place to hang out and there are outdoor string lights for fun nights outside during summer (ask me about how to set light them up). Pillows for lounge sofa likely inside the garage. The porch is definitely wonderful for hanging out and having your breakfast coffee or a cold beverage. In fact, on Sunday afternoons in the summertime you can hear music from "Jazz In The Park" that's how close the house is to the park. There is a large garage for 1 car indoor parking and double wide alley for parking in front of garage for a second car. If you need more parking there is also plenty of street parking available. Use the two bikes in garage for biking around the park! You'll find an air pump there by the bikes if needed. Enjoy being a gourmet chef in my home with commercial appliances such as using the six burner Viking stove. You'll have all the necessary cooking utensils available as well as spices you can help yourself to in the cupboard. The stainless steel island you see in the pictures is actually a commercial refrigerator with an electrical outlet underneath but because it is quite loud I have a second refrigerator in the mudroom right outside the kitchen). This might come as a surprise to some guests but there it is! Located in City Park there is immediate access to everything the Park has to offer such as "Jazz in the Park" summer Sundays (a local must-do) , Denver Nature and Science Museum (with IMAX), 14 lighted tennis courts, 18-hole regulation golf course, Denver Zoo, and more right in my backyard! It's the The house is only 2 blocks from Colfax Ave - closest to Bluebird Theater, tiny venue with big bands, Atomic Cowboy/Fat Sully's/Denver Biscuit Co, Stella (great for brunch or happy hour), Hooked on Colfax (awesome local coffee joint but if you need your Starbucks its two blocks down the road ), Sprouts Natural Grocery Store, and Endorphin Gym (they offer great 1-week out-of-towner rates!). Machete has amazing margaritas, watch out! PS Lounge is a must go to dive bar. Nothing changed since 1981. The house is located only 3 miles from the heart of Downtown Denver where you'll find Elitch Gardens, Coors Field, Sports Authority Field, Pepsi Center, CO Convention Center, Ogden and Filmore Music Venues, Aquarium, lots of museums, and so much more! If you're looking to get out of Denver, we are 2.5 miles to 1-70 which quickly takes you to Red Rocks (30 minutes), hiking in Golden (25 minutes), and day tripping in Boulder (40 minutes). The house is also a quick shot to Denver International Airport (20-30 minutes) when you're ready to head back home. There are always events going on and I'm happy to let you in on all the happenings when you stay at Norway House . I love this city and all it has to offer and we know you will too!

This sweet retreat holds 4 bedrooms, one and a half baths, a large back yard, vine-covered patio and many other amenities . Our historic 4-bedroom home is an ideal destination for stays of all shapes and sizes.
Welcome to your home-away-from home in Denver, CO. This space is a perfect place to land for a few (or more!) days of 5280 CO fun and relaxation for you and yours. You'll find one bedroom on the first floor and three bedrooms on the second floor. All of the mattresses have been recently upgraded which means sweet dreams all around! Each room includes ample storage space, fan and extra linens. There's even a small mattress and portable crib available for the wee ones. In the kitchen you'll find all the utensils, pots and pans that you'll need to cook a feast and enough dishes, glassware, and silverware to entertain a full family. There's an updated gas range, electric and convection oven, dishwasher and microwave. Out back you’ll find a quaint patio with a vine-covered pergola. NEIGHBORHOOD/LOCATION Our house is in South Park Hill, one of Denver's established residential neighborhoods. The streets are lined with large trees and mostly single family houses. The neighborhood is safe, relatively quiet, and surprisingly close to downtown. Park Hill is on the edge of Denver's largest park -- the one with the zoo and nature and science museum in it. The view from behind the museum is iconic: lake, park, skyline, and mountains. Watching the sunset (or even the reflection of the sunrise) from here is sublime. There's also a large water feature behind the museum for kids to play in during the summer and paddle boats and surreys to rent from a stand near the park pavilion. For runners, there is a 5K path that winds through the park; the outside of the park is 3 miles long -- 3.5 miles if you go around the golf course. There's a branch library a few blocks away, a small market and coffee shop about five blocks away, and several supermarkets (Sprouts, King Soopers, Safeway, and Trader Joe's) nearby. Many restaurants, two breweries (one more in October), dispensaries, and several bars are within walking distance. The Tattered Cover bookstore, and Sie Film Center (an art film house). In case you are staying while you are looking for a place of your own. . . We are in the Park Hill Elementary (several blocks away) and East High School areas. Odyssey and DSST charter schools are nearby. Montview Preschool and Park Hill Methodist preschools are within walking distance.
