The house is just a ten minute walk to the Link Light Rail Station, which gets you to Capitol Hill in 3 minutes, Downtown Seattle in 6 minutes, and the Airport in 45 minutes. It is also on several bus lines that connect to the surrounding area with access to the Microsoft Campus, Kirkland, Issaquah, and Bellevue. Across the street is the Montlake Boulevard Market, a neighborhood grocer offering local produce and a specialty deli. Just five minutes down the road are the restaurant Cafe Lago, and Fuel Coffee.
  • Convenient location at a reasonable price.

  • Although this place is clean, don't expect too much. It is quiet except for the noise the front door makes as people go in and out. Expect a shaking when the front door slams shut. Also, anytime anyone cooks, expect the smell to find its way through the vents.

    Janelle2018-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The room we had was very nice and how we expected it. There are many people in this Airbnb and the main door is slamming very hard, so our room and bed was shaking. We woke up several times a night.

    Simon2018-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot for exploring Seattle at a value price. Super clean and secluded in what is a large shared house. Mario was very accommodating and let me drop my bag at the house prior to the 4 pm check in time. Highly recommended.

  • Clean, comfortable space in a home with multiple Air BNB rooms

    Anne2018-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a way over priced hostel this is your place. Way over priced for you what you get . We were not looking to stay at a hostel, but this is what we got . Bring your own towels, because they were not supplied . There is a skylight in the “tree top” suite so it is very bright . All windows must be open or it’s extremely hot - and that means excessive street noise all night . There is ONLY 2 hour parking around the whole area. The room was not clean. Long black hairs on the floor, shower and sink. A guy was passed out on a common area chair when we went to check out in the morning .

    Jon2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The room is what I expect. Affordable to stay. Easy check in and check out.

    Uyen2018-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • A private space for a great price. Shower stall may not work for folks over 6' tall. Also the other rooms are shared with other people so it definitely had a hostel vibe, but overall no complaints!

My place is as close as you can get to UW and Husky Stadium, Arboretum Waterfront Trail, LINK light rail, SYC, and West Montlake Park. You’ll love my place because of the neighborhood, the comfy bed, the coziness, the amenities, the light, privacy, and location. Just a 5 minute walk across the historic Montlake bridge and you can catch the new light rail (7 min. to downtown and 45 min. to SEATAC). My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Queen bed.
We are steps away from the University of Washington in a beautiful neighborhood with a waterfront park.
  • I had a wonderful time at the Casita. It’s cozy and exactly as advertised. Perfect location to UW and the Link train. They were even kind enough to loan me an item I forgot at home! Will stay here again my next trip to Seattle.

    Christopher2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Casita was the perfect getaway. I loved still being in the city, but feeling away from it all and by the water. Caleb and Sharsti were wonderful hosts. The Casita was cute and so comfortable!

    Michelle2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful area! Such a fun place to stay. Loved the incredible homes along the streets nearby. Great views and walks. Super close to the city. Just all-around lovely!

    Brittany2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely studio in a safe, quiet, beautiful neighborhood of Seattle. Walking distance to the UW light rail station. Everything was very clean, plenty of towels, and the bed was so comfortable. I slept better than I do at home! There’s many basic amenities such as a microwave, mini-fridge, hair dryer, washer/dryer, etc. Sharsti and Caleb were kind, welcoming hosts. I would recommend this property to anyone!

    Cassidy2018-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in the casita very much. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, but close to everything you need. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Sharsti, but Caleb was very responsive to all our needs. It was quite hot when we visited in July, and there were times when we wished for air conditioning - but I think it was an unusually hot summer in Seattle. The casita is small but very cozy and has everything you need for a pleasant stay.

    Susan2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Second time staying at the Casita and again, my experience was perfect. Lovely spot, location is unmatched, great value, sparkling clean. Finally got to meet Caleb and Sharsti in person and they were very pleasant! I cannot wait to go back.

    Christopher2018-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Hamlin Street Casita has amazing value. I came from a hotel where I paid much more that wasn't even close to as nice as this place. The neighborhood is cozy, safe, and very convenient for visiting the University of Washington. But the room itself was the best part! The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean and well decorated. It snowed during my visit and I could hardly tell since the room was so warm and wonderful. There are laundry machines for you to use, as well as a mini fridge, microwave, electric kettle and coffeemaker. It was easy to come and go since they had a lockbox for keys. The bathroom had way more than enough towels and was accessible for guests with disabilities. I cannot emphasize enough how much I loved staying here! Thanks Caleb & Sharsti!

    Jamie2016-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • The Casita was fantastic!! Just as the pictures show, but also Caleb and Sharsti are incredibly thoughtful and helpful. Everything was perfect, and we hope to stay there again whenever we are in Seattle!

Our cozy Spanish inspired bungalow with vaulted ceilings, loft, and fireplace is located in the quintessential Seattle neighborhood of Montlake. The neighborhood is a quiet retreat within the urban heart of Seattle. It is literally next door to the University of Washington (Husky Stadium), steps away from Lake Washington and the Arboretum water front trails, the historic Seattle Yacht Club, and 10 min from downtown Seattle by car, the LINK light rail, or bus.
The Casa is steps from the University of Washington and UW medical facilities. There is a light rail station a block and a half from the Casa with immediate access to downtown tourist attractions and the stadiums. The Casa is a detached guest house with a private access trail and courtyard.
The neighborhood is beautiful and park-like. There is a Yacht Club across the street and a waterfront park with access to a trail system that will take you miles through the famous UW arboretum without crossing a street. We are as close as you can get to the Husky Stadium. There are numerous recreation opportunities like kayak rentals in the summer or bike rentals all year to explore the miles of bike paths around our neighborhood.
  • Great place; we enjoyed our stay.

    Pete2018-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Caleb and Sharsti's place was very awesome, we liked staying in their cosy cabin. They are super friendly hosts, and made us feel welcome. It is close to shops and restaurants and close to public transport to go downtown. Defininetly recommendable for a weekend in Seattle.

    Joan2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Where do I begin? This was by far, hands-down, the most amazing airbnb stay I've ever had. I stayed with my girlfriend for 6 nights and this spot was amazing. The beds were comfortable, easy street parking for the rental car, and an amazing cozy spot overall. Caleb and Sharsti were amazing hosts and accommodated us with everything we needed. It is literally a 1 minute drive (if that) from the University of Washington which is beautiful. Only 10 min from Downtown/ Pike Place. The casita has a unique, cozy, and relaxed atmosphere as well! I will only stay here when I come back to Seattle. Another plus is that it's only an hour's drive from many mountain sights and 30 min from the Twin Peaks filming locations. This is the spot you need to stay at if you are looking for an amazing Seattle vacation!!

    Jose2018-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The home is neat and clean. It is in a great location, near the water, restaurants and public transportation. Caleb and Sharsti are great hosts, gracious and can give great information about the area.

  • This is the perfect get-away! Such a beautiful property in such a great neighborhood. Wish I could move in longterm!

    Robby2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay. Clean, quite and just steps away from a lot of UW action. A Park is also just steps away, if you enjoy a morning walk, like I do. The the price was just incredible, and I would certainly recommend the casa (house). Sharsti also checked in with me a few times (not to many times), to make sure everything was fine, and asked if I needed anything. Nice touch.

  • Nice place if you are looking to get some rest and continue on with your day. Clean. But small space

    Vino2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Besides the large rat in the bushes by the front door and the strong cat urine odor next to the bed, it was fine. You get what you pay for. About 30 people staying in this house, which can't be legal. Nice to meet other travelers though. They change the door lock every day, which is quite annoying.

    Ali2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a great room if you just need a place to crash. Parking is a little sketchy in the neighborhood, but I never got a ticket for being parked during the daytime.

    Eryn2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • It's a fine place for a cheap stay in a convenient location. Just know that there are a LOT of people in the house! I counted 8 or 9 others during my stay (one night). With one bathroom, mornings were tricky. Also be sure to bring your own towel if needed as they are not provided. Finally, if you drive, you'll have a hard time finding parking in the neighborhood. Overall, depending on the other guests, you could have a great time or a mediocre time... felt kind of like college but with less space.

    John2018-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Please donot choose this place if you need proper sleep at night and bathroom in the morning. not worth at all. No cleanliness, bugs and spiders allover and too many people drinking, smoking, playing loud music and talking loud during the night.

  • if you're trying to see Seattle on a dime, this is the way to go

    Piran2019-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • The place is a decent bang for your buck, but you definitely pay for what you get. Overall, I did not have a bad experience if I think of it as a place to crash at the end of each night. However, if you are looking for a relaxing place to spend your time in, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Looks like there are about 20 beds in the house, and 2 bathrooms (Dario, please correct me if I am wrong). Your experience will vary heavily based on the other visitors. The room does not have a separate lock or combo, so you can't keep your valuables in the room. I'd consider it to be one step down from the hostels I have stayed at in Europe in that regard. It is a step up solely because of the bigger bed, and lower number of roommates.

Greet the day under a glorious rain shower in the mosaic- and tile-bedecked shower area. Back in the main living space, the many windows and vaulted ceilings ensure plenty of morning light. Privacy is also a given in this bright detached property.
There are a lot of windows to bring in the light and sunshine. It is a spacious area with a modern look with all new construction and appliances. It is quiet with quick access to the main road.
Nestled in-between the Montlake cut and the Seattle Yacht Club, this studio is near many parks, including the Arboretum, Portage Bay, and Japanese Gardens. Many trails surround the neighborhood, with shops, cafes, and the university close too.
  • great private place in a quiet neighborhood, nice personal touches and very welcoming hosts.

  • This is a MUST-STAY. The unit is beautifully designed and decorated with welcoming touches, sparkling clean, and Erik and Yvonne were friendly and accommodating hosts. Highly recommend, will stay here again next time I'm in town for business or visiting friends.

  • Brand new and very beautiful apartment in a separate building above garage. Nice small kitchen with all necessary utensils. Perfect location close to UW and light rail station. I enjoyed very much my stay at this place and I would love to come back!

    Peter2018-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place super close to UWMC, which was my priority. Heated bathroom floors were glorious, as were the refreshments provided. Lovely, airy with vaulted ceilings. Comfy bed. Super nice hosts.

    Christine2019-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable, quiet and convenient to Seattle's "Link" (subway) which is fast, clean and inexpensive. Excellent location w.r.t. UofW campus, NOAO offices and the Arboretum. Quite a few popular (and busy) restaurants within a short drive. If you don't want to go out or cook the market/deli just a couple of blocks south has a great selection of sandwiches, salads, etc.. We would definitely stay again!

    Kenneth2019-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Book while you can this is a real GEM! Located on a beautiful tree lined street , surrounded by stunning homes. I felt like a true local living in a tucked away (luxurious) studio apartment. I travel often for work and enjoy staying in well designed spaces. This is one of the nicest Airbnbs I have had the pleasure to visit. A true bang for your buck! The hosts are amazing and really go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable (while giving you plenty of privacy). I could easily live in this space. Location is to die for... Wishing you both all the success with your Airbnb hosting experience . Cheers and thank you for the wonderful stay.

    Abigail2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place near University of Washington. Considering how hotel prices were nearly over $300 the week I stayed, I believe I got a great deal. I really appreciated the fact that the hosts were very responsive and even received a package for me. The only caveat is that I really wish there was a decent grocery store or even a cvs that is walking distance but that is out of the host’s control. The unit was newly renovated with a full kitchen and the small things like a couple bottles of water and wine/beer were nice touches. Overall a very solid, peaceful place to stay in seattle.

    Eugen2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Dario should not be in the tourism business. He was very unkind to me and break the ADA rules. For one, when renting a space according to the FAIR HOUSING AMENDMENT ACT [3] a person with a disability is allowed to keep their service animal even if the landlord refuses to accept the service animal. People who are in the hosting business should read upon the laws those who blatantly refuses pets and uses allergy as an excuse. He is rude and threatebs to discard my belongings. I am not referrying this place to anyone. Its unsafe to stay there.sz

  • Nice place. Right in the heart of Seattle. It's a bit busy in the house with how many people are there but otherwise, a good look!

    Kingsley2018-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a place that'll put a roof over your head without any flashy amenities, this is the place to book. It's relatively cheap compared to other properties in the area. Note: It does get hot in the rooms during the summer months.

    Zoltan2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We where a little bit disappointed, because in our opinion he could have told more about the living there... you have to share the bathroom with a lot of people and unfortunately we had ants in our bedroom. Most people who stayed there where male people, so I think it's more for male then female. It was acceptable for one night.

    Pia2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Space was clean, was interesting chatting with all the different folks staying there. All in all a good airbnb. Thank you!

    Makayla2018-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • READ THIS I never met the host and he doesn’t know anything about me as a guest, so, how is he going to leave a review??? This place seems everything but an AirBnB. This “host” only works as a “military-style” manager, with exaggerate strict rules and zero flexibility; clearly ONLY going after the money and nothing related to the original mission of AirBnb.  It is posted as an Airbnb but I consider it looks like an wanna-be hostal (that doesn't want to pay city taxes or permits, or follow minimum requirements), it has not enough safety measurements for the number of occupants (because that place was NOT intended to house more than a single big family), like fire sprinklers, egress/exit signs, enough restrooms for all the guests (there are a lot of conflicts in the mornings because they only have 2 bathrooms for 15 people in average.)  He has 10 different listings for each room, and each listing says it includes "1 bath", but NEVER specifies that all of those 10 rooms are in the same HOUSE!!! which in total has 2 bathrooms!!!! Now you understand how he makes money?? = misleading information*, and not a real hosting experience. (*The AirBnB map shows the rooms in different locations, but that’s false!! They are in the exact same house!, they are even lying to the company!) This "hostal" does not provide dispensers with shampoo or bath soap, no earplugs, no washer or dryer, not enough silverware, and always a full, messy fridge. The solution is not just booking a different place because I don't like it, the objective is to make guests aware that because of this type of home owners and managers, prices go higher and higher for short or long term housing, and there is no control for the 'domino effect' for fees and charges increase!! —-Change the business model and be more fair on the services and charges!!—- For more information about Host responsibilities (proportionate to the number of guests) check: https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/1376/responsible-hosting-in-the-united-states

  • Dario is an Airbnb superhost who manages a number of properties in the Seattle area. I stayed at his Montlake house and found the space to be overall clean and comfortable. Great location, within walking distance of UW and U-District. Easy access to the Eastside, via express bus. A handy spot for a short stay!

    Maggie2018-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • The room itself was very clean. The other areas were quite dirty. Especially the washroom. Convenient for checking in and out. A LOT of people staying in one big house. So it's more like a hostel than a AirBnB - not so private. Also our car window was smashed and AAA had to come a tow us away. Nothing was showing in the car, nor was the door opened or anything taken. The neighbour had told us that had been happening lately. Just be careful!

  • My daughter and I stayed in the top bunk of the “La Dolce Vita” room. If you’re looking for a place to crash for a night I think this place would be fine but for anything longer I would recommend going somewhere else. The listing fails to note that this house is shared by anywhere from 10-15 other guests who must all share 2 bathrooms and a very small common dining area. In addition, the bathroom door is broken resulting in guests getting locked in. There is also a bit of an ant/bug problem in the bathroom and kitchen, the bed frames are very low quality and nowhere to safely store valuables. Overall I would not recommend this place.

  • You will have a great place to stay. Really quick responses from Dario. Highly recommended

  • It's a great location, the bunks are kind of loud when moved even slightly, and Labor Day weekend was so busy, there was always a bathroom line in the morning. Maybe let guests know there might be over a dozen people using two bathrooms.

This is a unique hostel style house with 8 shared bedrooms conveniently located in the Montlake neighborhood of Seattle between Capitol Hill and the University District.
  • Affordable and decent location. Around 15 people in one house with 2 bathrooms tho so def be aware of that.

  • No better value for sure - but, for some reason the Sun Room is abnormally smaller and hotter than the all of the other rooms in the house. Overall, it was more than a great stay at the price point.

  • You get what you pay for. Bare bones and clean-ish, crowded but affordable, Dario's Roanoke house is a cheap, short-term option in an expensive city that is unforgiving for travelers on a budget.

  • This is a medium-sized house in a good location. It has been turned into some version of a hostel. Every room possible has been turned into a bedroom, and I counted no less than 30 pairs of shoes in the doorway. The price is very cheap, however there are not enough bathrooms to go around when it is busy and the kitchen is about the size that would be for a family of four. Currently, there are repair issues with the refrigerator shelving, the basement bathroom shower, the basement bathroom walls, and other random places, and I barely looked through the house. They bought a bunch of Ikea utensils for the kitchen, which is fine, but there is precious little silverware and whatever mugs they bought have all been stolen. The owner needs to reinvest some of his money into a new refrigerator, some spackle for holes in the wall, paint, and something to seal the downstairs shower. This was not a horrible place to stay, and I think other people were more satisfied than I was. But I think they should have given a little more for the price.

  • the room it self was good no complaints about it comfortable you definitely get what you pay, I just will like yo say the place has potential but it xan be updated and look much better and you need to be more strict in the bathroom and everyone's Items, but overall the place is has a great location, acrosshe street a convenience store, nearby the public transportation station.

    Victor2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • spending an extra 30 dollars will get you a better place. No body odor from 15 other males. The cohabitants did not respect house rules. I hear people stomping upstairs at 2Am. If you consider the value, I would tell you I did as well and It's not worth it. I left the place at 6AM. Could only spend 8 hours there, got only 3 hours of sleep due to noises and bad odor.

    Hugh2018-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great place, it was better than the cost that I paid for. Dario did a great job at responding quickly to an question/concern that I had.

    Cruz2018-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Place was decently clean but the amount of people staying there made it messy as not everyone cleaned up after themselves. Other guests were a bit loud at night as loud footsteps could be heard at 1-2AM. The bunk beds were very squeaky and sensitive to any movement which also made for a disruptive night. All in all, the stay was DECENT but not worth the price paid.

  • As soon as i got to Dario’s place I had to literally book another Airbnb. Let me save you some time and tell you to book a place anywhere else but here. Dario’s place is unbelievably dirty with a literal laundry list of rules that you must abide by. The whole house smells like urine and smoke. The bathrooms are dirty (which you have to share with 4 other rooms). The lights in the room don’t work. There are ANTS every where. The room is extremely dirty. (The whole house is). I cannot say one good thing about Dario’s place.

    Marcelo2018-08-11T00:00:00Z

  • The neighborhood, Montlake, was beautiful, quiet, and close to public transportation. There is a supermarket and a 24-hour store right across the street which was great. It’s a shared space but everyone I met staying at the house was very pleasant, quiet and respectful. Do keep in mind this is hostel/shared space... so you do get what you pay for, but it’s a great value nonetheless. Only cons were long lines for the bathroom, and it looked like someone had been sleeping in my bed when I arrived as the bed was not made.

    Jessica2018-08-30T00:00:00Z

  • Great location, good price, easy to find home. Near by a big market to buy food and grocery, near by a Washington Aboretum National Park and Botanical Garden, Japanesse Garden, allot of trails for a walk. I like overall, only thing it will more better to keep the entrance more arranged and entrance hall. Fast and quick reply from Dario, good communication through chat.

    Dr. Santosh2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The house is good connected to public transport and Dario replied fast to qustions. The house defenitely is run like a hostel and there are quite as much beds per rooms as can possibly fit in. I had a horrible mattress, where it hurt to lie on, because I felt every spiral spring. If the person in the bottom bed was moving, the whole bunk bed was moving, too. In general, the price is defenitely too high for what you get.
