Little Rocks first ever "Tiny Home."
Well we live 50ft from the Tiny Home, and we absolutely love it here! Everything is so convenient, and everything that is going on in Little Rock right now has got my wife and I REALLY excited!
  • Holy wow what a gem. The place bubbles over with the quality of the build and finish, and all the little details make it a warm and inviting place to stay. Our trip spanned 3,800 miles, 15 states, and 6 different Air BnB's. This was our favorite out of a great bunch of places. Loved it.

  • Awesome home and host. This was our first AIRBNB, and we had a blast. Took our 2 dogs and they loved the house and fenced yard. Perfect for 2 people and 2 dogs. Great area to walk dogs, and near to great food in a very hip area of LR. We hope to stay again soon!

  • My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the tiny home - we appreciated the simplicity and comfort. It had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The location is walking distance from great micro breweries, tasty restaurants and the farmers market. Hiking trails are within short driving distance, too. We will definitely visit again!

  • The Tiny Home was amazing! We were traveling through town with our 8 month old and it worked really well for us. I had emailed Michael ahead of time asking if there would be enough room for the pack and play. It fit easily to the left of the fireplace. Our peanut slept on the floor of the bedroom for a while, penned in by the closets, while we watched a movie. Also, the kitchen sink is well-sized for baby bathing. We enjoyed being able to use the Netflix option on the TV. We stayed on a Sunday and grabbed some panini to go from the Community Bakery (about a 10 min walk away on S Main)- there were a lot of spots that looked good but weren't open for dinner. The kitchen was well stocked, nice toiletries in the shower and a very comfortable bed. The neighborhood is interesting with some really neat modern houses as well as historic buildings. We will definitely stay again!

  • Exceeded all my expectations!

  • This tiny house is located in a quiet neighborhood but very close to downtown. We enjoyed our stay. It was cozy and comfortable. The house was immaculate! Michael was quick to respond to messages and a phone call. We will be back next time we're in the area!

  • This was an EXCEPTIONAL Airbnb !!!! This little house has EVERYTHING I needed and wanted. It's beautiful, everything is just top of the line and Michael was fantastic ( I didn't get to meet Alex ).The neighborhood is a very quiet one but I didn't know that until I got there. I expressed concern about parking on the street and, without hesitation, he moved his own vehicle so I could use their driveway !!!! This was absolutely one of my best Airbnb experiences !!!! GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO STAY HERE !!!!!!! I got WAY MORE than just a good nights' sleep. Spending one night in their Tiny House, has influenced me and the choices I am making....especially since I am currently exploring different ways to live !!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!!

  • We were just passing through so we got in late at night and left early the next day. We had never stayed in a "tiny home" before and this was such a wonderful place! It's amazing that it can be so small, but still have everything you need. It's also really walkable to restaurants and stuff. (Although we found out lots of things are closed on Sundays, so keep that in mind). Michael offered us some great recommendations and provided us with everything we needed.

This small apartment has one bedroom with a queen bed, separate desk/work area, full kitchen, and full bath. We live on the first floor and rent three apartments upstairs. Two blocks from shops, restaurants, bakeries, art museum, and brewery. Dogs are allowed, but no cats. We love cats, but have had problems with spraying.
Soma (south Main) is a GREAT neighborhood close to everything! We're just 10 minutes from the airport, hospitals, the Rivermarket district, Verizon Arena, the river trails, great midtown neighborhoods, the convention center, the baseball park, and lots more. Soma's offerings continue to grow. Rocktown Distillery, Core Brewing, Community Bakery, Raduno, South on Main, Root Cafe, Loblolly Creamery, Boulevard Bread, Bark Bar, Larry's Pizza (weekdays), Stone's Throw Brewery, and more are all within short walking distance (2-5 blocks). There's a Walgreens and Edwards Food Giant just three blocks away. Other eats and drinks close by include Cathead's Diner, Rebel Kettle, Samantha's Tap Room, Bruno's Italian, Soul Fish Cafe, Sim's BBQ, Three Fold, Wasabi, 109 & Co., The Lobby Bar, Vino's, Ciao, Forty-Two (in the Clinton Library), Heifer Int'l Cafe (and check out their urban farm!), and more I'm forgetting. MacArthur Military Museum and Park and the Arkansas Arts Center are just a few blocks from the house, and the Arts Center is free. Also, don't forget the Central High School National Park and Museum. Drive straight west on Daisy Bates (14th St.) about a mile and you'll run right into it. Central is a beautiful school, and if you don't know its history and place in civil rights, you must visit and learn. For outdoor fun, Pinnacle Mountain is west of town and provides great hikes. There's the "front side" and "back side" of Pinnacle. The back side is steeper and involves climbing up boulders. We think that side is more fun, but both are great, and a great workout. We ride our bikes frequently and use both the North Little Rock and Little Rock sides of the River Trail. It's so beautiful! You can do the whole loop, which is about 17 miles from our front door and back. Or you can drive to Murray Park or NLR Riverfront Park and ride from there. If you want to walk, head to Murray Park and the Big Dam Bridge, or a little farther west to Two Rivers Park, where we always see at least 40 deer along the trail. All trails are paved. We have camp chairs, umbrellas, coolers, reusable shopping bags, etc. if you want to use any of them. Just let us know. The Soma area is very safe, although if you leave something valuable in your car overnight, you may lose it overnight. Nights are also relatively safe. There is a homeless community downtown, but we haven't had any problems. Women should always be aware of their surroundings at night (this is true everywhere, unfortunately), but we certainly walk around the neighborhood at night to stroll, eat, drink, etc. The "Designing Women" house is right around the corner at 1321 Scott (and it's for sale!). There is so much to do and see in Little Rock! Ask us if we haven't caught your interest in any of the above and we'll provide other suggestions.
SOMA (South Main) is a vibrant, historic, and arty neighborhood. Within two blocks are a one-of-a-kind purse museum and store (ESSE), organic restaurant (Root Cafe), Green Corner Store, Loblolly Ice Cream (local delicious), two bakeries/cafes (Community Bakery and Boulevard Bakery), antique stores, pizza joint (Raduno), late night bar (Midtown Billiards stays open until 5 a.m.), southern cuisine and music venue (South on Main), the Oxford American Magazine offices and art space, printing and jewelry space (Electric Ghost), an escape room (all the rage, apparently), farmer's market (in a sculpture garden--Bernice Garden), and less than one block from Villa Marre, which is "the Designing Women House." We're also walking distance to microbrewery Stone's Throw Brewing, the Arkansas Arts Center, dog park, MacArthur Park and Military Museum, Walgreen's, grocery store, and plenty of other stuff to keep you busy, stocked, and well-fed. The River Market district has a lot of restaurants, bars, public library, parks, the Clinton Library and School of Public Service (great speakers series and events). We are five minutes from Rocktown Distillery (fun tours and great bourbon!), Lost Forty Brewhouse, Rebel Kettle Brewing Co. The Arkansas Travelers are our AA baseball team (Anaheim). Dickey Stevens Park is just across the river in North Little Rock. NLR has a great neighborhood of bars, restaurants, and galleries called Argenta. That's also where you can find Verizon Arena.

  • This awesome apartment is centrally located in a neighborhood that is evidently undergoing revival and restoration of these stately architectural gems. Check in and communication were a breeze, bed and apartment were very comfortable. If your tastes tend toward the well-loved older home with a modern sensibility, I think you will be delighted with your stay, as I was.

Would definitely recommend and stay again.

  • This place is truly a gem. Clean, inviting, accommodating, friendly and had everything I needed to feel comfortable for my one night visit including plenty of parking. An added extra was the interesting and informative decor honoring firefighters through the ages including photos, stories and artifacts. I highly recommend staying here and feel blessed to have come across such an adorable interesting place.

But the absolute stand out here are the great staff.i have never met such great helpful and kind staff in all my hostel experiences..this to me was by far the best part of my stay.. i was even given a life to the bus station as I left so early in the morning which just topped it all off. They are so helpful and passionate locals who love their city and have so much great info..i really miss them all. I totally recommend to stay here..10/10

  • I came for the Little Rock Marathon and chose this place due to its proximity to the start of the race. The renovation they have done to this building is amazing. It is also a museum and showcases historic items, pictures and memorabilia in the common areas. The common areas were well organized and accessible. I loved that I was able to wash my laundry before leaving also for a very reasonable price. Downstairs is the co-ed room and bathroom but they are not attached li ke in the female and male dorms upstairs. The wooden bunks were very sturdy, and mattresses and pillows clean comfortable. I loved the beutifully restored hard wood flooring upstairs, and concrete floors downstairs with much character. The female dorm bathroom was bright and clean with 3 stainless steel sinks, 2 spacious stall showers, and 2 large bathroom stalls. Ample room to move around. I enjoyed my stay very much as well as the great service and hospitality volunteer Jennyfer provided.

  • I came to Little Rock for the 4th of July Pops on the River, fireworks event. I had been to it about 5 years ago with my daughter and had fond memories of the event. It was everything I remembered, very family friendly, a very diverse crowd and like the last time, I did not see any heavy drinking, during the event. I wanted to be, a walking distance from downtown, to not have to deal with the event parking, so I chose the Firehouse Hostel & Museum. I stayed for 2 nights and although I was sleeping in a men's room with 14 bunk beds, only 4 of the beds were taken during my stay, with 2 being the hostel volunteers. They also offer a woman's room, as well as a coed room and even a private room. Keith, the senior volunteer, was super nice and very knowledgeable about the history of the area. They even walked a group of us to the fireworks show. The breakfast is a light continental version, with plenty of coffee and full access to their kitchen, refrigerator and ice machine, if you should choose to fix your own meals. Even though I am 6'2" tall, I still was able to fit on the bunk bed and it was more comfortable than I expected. The entire place was immaculately clean, including the kitchen and bathrooms. The price was unbeatable and this being my first stay in a hostel, I really enjoyed getting to know the staff as well as other guests. Everyone has a unique life story, which helps bring mine, back into perspective. I will be staying here again!

  • I just moved to Little Rock and was looking for cheap stay (sort of extended stay) as I needed to find an apartment and settle down. I had a booking for about a week at this amazing facility. Let me say this is the best stay I could have had in LR on my first visit. Recently remodeled, safe, affordable, and very friendly warm welcoming folks. You get everything you need for a stay - breakfast, fast wifi, clean beddings and Washroom with free toiletries at that unbeatable price! Most important that you get above all is the best staff! I got a chance to meet great ladies - Lynda, Jennifer, Sally and Carley and a great gentleman - James. As I was new to the city they helped me literally with everything, right from suggestions to favors. It was just an outstanding experience for me. Did I mentioned they were very accommodative to arrange and adjust for my luggage as I had a whole sedan full of stuff as I moved from AL to AR. Given a chance, I would love to stay back again. And sure I look forward to swinging by to say 'Hey' in future.

This is a dated, but cozy apartment on the second floor of a big old house. Everyone enters the front door into the foyer, but each living area is private, behind locked doors. #2 has central heat and air and everything you need for a short or long-term stay. Smoking outside only. We are also in a GREAT neighborhood with bars, restaurants, pharmacy, shops, and a grocery store. All are within walking distance.

  • Could not be happier. Stephanie wrote ahead of time to welcome us, setting a great tone. Check in was simple with a key code, and the apartment was clean with all the amenities and loads of style. The neighborhood is quiet, but five minutes walk from South Main and many options for eating and engaging Little Rock away from commercial downtown.

  • Such a great original home, so if you have to have everything new don't judge as they are pretty clear this is an older home. Creaky floors and all, it is fantastic and although it is pet friendly, it is super clean! Close to stores and restaurants and I was always able to park right in front of the home. Super easy check in and access and great communication from the hosts. There is a spacious desk area with a power strip for those of us who are here on work and need a space to setup a desk. I wouldn't change a thing.

  • Amazing place right in downtown. Perfect place, would recommend and stay here any time I travel through Little Rock.

  • We stayed at Stephanie’s for one night during a road trip. It was a wonderful stay! We had our two young children with us, and Stephanie set up sleeping spots for them in advance of our arrival. The home is old and historic, and we loved all of the original features and charm. It’s also two blocks from Main Street with tons of shops, restaurants, etc. The location can’t be beat! We will be back for sure. :-)

Modern vintage retro style; simple, no-frills, clean and quiet. 2B/1BA apartment inside duplex that’s been converted from an 1896 Craftsman style home all to yourself! Centrally located, tastefully decorated, accessible, safe & clean. In the heart of SOMA, but with peace (and parking) of suburbia. Rest easy directly across from the Governor's Mansion grounds. Enjoy an off bedroom entrance, on-site washer/dryer, full kitchen, WiFi/TV/PS4/Hulu & Netflix.
The layout is pretty comfy in this old place. Quirky, eclectic and simple. Mix of original hardwood floors and modern tile that has the look of hardwood. Gray walls, crisp white trim. Considering the age of the house it’s got a great sized bathroom as well as kitchen, which is functional and simple with an updated subway tile backsplash. Brand new queen & full Serta mattresses with washable protectors and fresh laundered linens. Keurig, Ninja blender, microwave & utensils at your disposal. I want you to feel at home so please, like I'd tell any of my friends, if you can see it you can use it! Steps up the front/back porch, otherwise single level. Exterior door in the back bedroom so - although not well lit - you've got private access in/out in addition to the main entrance through the living room! Free washer/dryer use.
The SOMA neighborhood is awesome! It's busy but quaint, accessible and quiet at the same time. Street fests happen often so you never know when there'll be cool stuff happening just a block or two over. The house sits directly across the street from the Governor's Mansion, specifically the security office so it's a very safe well-lit monitored area. You've got easy walking access to so many amenities: post office, grocery store, Walgreens, numerous restaurants (The Root, South on Main, Loblolly Ice Cream, Boulevard Bread, Raduno's Pizza, Community Bakery, Rocktown Distillery, Dos Rocas tacos, etc.), a great dive bar (Midtown Billiards) and a craft beer tasting room, Bernice Gardens, several eclectic shops (two antique stores, a bead store, Esse vintage purse museum, Green Corner Store, Moxy, Oxford American, etc). Best part is you're super close (>5 minute drive) to downtown, River Market, Little Rock Arts Center, Clinton Library, Heifer International, UAMS/Children's Hospital, Central High, MacArthur Park (among others) and freeway access. The airport is a very short & easy 10 minute drive.
  • Jd’s place was great! Enjoyed my stay here!

    Kris2018-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great, beds are comfy, and pet friendly. The upstairs tenants are not light in their step and stay up late so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. There's a great DVD collection for if you're staying in on a rainy evening. Community Bakery around the corner is a nice spot to walk to in the morning with your pups and grab a tasty coffee and treat.

    Lisa2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean and quiet home. This was perfect for us to get a good night's sleep during our long move. Seemed to be in a safe area. Self check-in and pet friendly also helped make this the perfect place.

  • Jd’s place is fantastic. It is in a quiet neighbourhood with beautiful houses, not far from shops and cafes. It is a lovely home with stylish details and everything that you would want for a short stay in Little Rock. We would definitely stay here again and were actually quite jealous of such a cool property.

While several homes from the 1840’s to the 1860’s still survive, today the area is a mix of residential units, offices, and commercial space. MacArthur Park’s 39 acres serve as the nucleus of the neighborhood and historic district bearing its name. My charming, century old cottage is nestled on a corner in the heart of Little Rock’s thriving downtown. Two blocks from the Arkansas Arts Center and McArthur Park, walking distance from the popular River Market District and the ultra-hip SoMa neighborhood, right off I-630 and I-30, and minutes from the airport – you’ll be close to everything! We’ll both be sharing the home with a beautiful tortoise shell cat named Heka who likes people and pets.
Your private suite includes two rooms with a private entrance and side porch with a cute little outdoor sitting area. The bedroom has a comfy full sized bed, full length mirror, and room darkening blackout curtains for a great night’s sleep. TV has Roku with Netflix, Hulu, HBOGo, and Amazom Prime Video already logged in. Your suite also boasts a cozy sitting area, super cool writing desk, and convenient eating area with filtered water, tea, and coffee available. The private bathroom has a walk-in shower and is accessed through the common space but is reserved for your use only. Off-street driveway parking.

  • Very cute place. Private bath is in hallway. Heaters provided since an old home in historic district. Close to walk downtown. Private entrance. Share kitchen/frig with host. TV streaming so only if host not using. Host is very communicative and flexible:)

  • This is a small but interesting funky spot. Nice to have a separate sitting area. Close to downtown. Elle is friendly and left us a breakfast which was very nice. We did have a problem with the check in since she was out when we arrived, we did not see her email sent that morning since we were travelling. It would have been better to get instructions a few days before arrival.

    Penny2019-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • You're getting the FULL deal at Elle's place. Such a cozy, stylish and roomy accommodation. So much attention to detail and thoughtful touches. I would come back here in a heartbeat and can wholeheartedly recommend this little gem. Elle made our stay very easy and met us every step of the way even though we arrived while she wasn't there.

    Elke2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Elle has a great space. Very comfortable and private. We got to hang out as well. It’s easy to walk to a restaurant or brewery. Really enjoyed my stay.

    Rene2019-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Elle and her space are both fantastic. I've stayed in several Airbnbs, and despite the "bnb" portion of the company name, rarely have I been provided breakfast, let alone a delicious, prepared-fresh, continental-style breakfast. Airbnb recommends one pillow per guest? I had *six*—on a wonderfully comfortable bed off the nicest little private sitting area where I was able to get some writing done (with the company of the friendly and adorable cat, Heka). Elle's is a warm, stylish home, which really is situated in a perfect location for exploring downtown—or hopping on the highway to head to other parts of Little Rock. Elle herself is just an absolute delight to talk to, an excellent hostess. I would absolutely stay in this space again, and would recommend it to anyone.

    Molly2018-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic stay. The suite is really cool, the location was perfect for my downtown event, and Elle's hospitality was awesome!

    Chris2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fun and the decor was awesome, matching the character of the historic home. Elle was a great hostess, even with my last minute check-in. Definitely a chill spot to post up and relax.

Stay in a beautiful refurbished cathedral, complete with stained glass and a spire, in the heart of Little Rock's SoMa neighborhood! Sleep on a plush queen bed in the upstairs bedroom, and a comfy couch plus air mattress are available in the downstairs living room. Fully stocked kitchen and breakfast available, with local coffee and breakfast treats. Walking distance from gems such as The Root Cafe, South on Main, and Community Bakery, and a slightly longer walk to Little Rock's River Market.
Bedroom is not fully enclosed as large stained glass windows extend from the living room up to the bedroom above, so expect to be able to hear your friends from downstairs while in the bedroom. Full bathroom is also located upstairs with fluffy towels and washcloths provided. Four yoga mats and a bike are available for the health & fitness junkies among you. 42" flatscreen Smart TV is also available with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, Spotify, and more connected accounts for those looking to relax and restore. Snuggle up under a blanket on the couch with a big mug of tea and a book from the rainbow shelf, or drink a local beer and play games on the coffee table or small dining table. There’s seating on the couch, large window seats against the stained glass in the living room, and there are three more camp chairs in the living room closet next to the washer/dryer. Kitchen is fully stocked (including toaster, microwave, coffee maker, and Magic Bullet blender), and I’ll always have coffee available, and you’re welcome to anything in the fridge or pantry - plus a full suite of Moosewood cookbooks if you want to get creative and make a healthy home-cooked meal during your stay. There’s a notebook where you can get up-to-date recommendations for food, drink, and things to do as well as read and react to past guests’ experiences. Apartment is decorated with maps and mirrors, and you’ll notice homages to Arkansas politics, international travel, powerful women, yoga, education, and equity throughout the space. Truly gorgeous and one-of-a-kind spot to rest during your stay in Little Rock.
Walk to all of SoMa's gems: The Root Cafe, Boulevard Bread, Community Bakery, the escape room, Dos Rocas, South on Main, Atlas Bar, Raduno, Esse Purse Museum, and multiple antique and boutique shops. Post office, Walgreens, and grocery store are also within a 5-minute walk. You're in the heart of the Governor's Mansion Historic District and the Quapaw Quarter, so you can also take a walking or bike tour to see historic landmarks. Little Rock Central High School, a national park and historic treasure, is less than a mile away, as is Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, a museum of Arkansas's black and African-American history. Downtown and the River Market are a 25-minute walk away: restaurants, bars, music venues, wetlands and park, the Clinton Library & Museum, and Heifer International are at your fingertips!
  • The cathedral was a charming place to stay. We loved the location, it was in a nice quiet neighborhood and super close to downtown and dining. The apartment was pet friendly and Hannah left generous amenities. It's rare to find a place willing to host you for 1 night and Hannah was very accommodating. We highly recommend staying at Hannah's place. If we are ever in the area, we will definitely stay here again. Thanks for your hospitality, Hannah!

This is a comfortable place to rest or work with unbelievably quick access to anywhere you want to go to or head towards in Little Rock. You'll have lots of private space including bedroom, bathroom and living room and anytime use of a shared kitchen and laundry room. It comes with good WiFi and plenty of parking both on and off street.
Our place is ideal for traveling nurses, residents and business people. You are incredibly close to hospitals, the SoMa district and the Downtown/River Market area.
The neighborhood is next to the SoMa or South Main area of Little Rock. It's one of our favorites and has undergone a lot of positive changes in the past decade. There are great restaurants, shops, coffee, art, local ice cream and the Bark Bar, a bar designed to bring your dogs along with.
  • Pretty good spot in Little Rock. Just a couple blocks from the SOMA area with some fun restaurants, etc. Also no more than a mile to the core of Little Rock by the river. Should note the shared kitchen is open to this apartment, so the living room is not completely private.

Great apartment in downtown Little Rock. Walking distance to the SoMa district where you will find coffee shops, great restaurants, boutique shops, and entertainment venues
This is basically two apartments with a shared laundry and kitchen in between. Each side has a living room, dining area, bedroom and private full bathroom. The laundry has a full size washer and dryer and the kitchen is fully outfitted.
The apartment is a two block walk to one of our favorite areas, SoMa. Here you can enjoy all local favorites and grab coffee and a bagel at Community Bakery, lunch at The Root Cafe and Boulevard Bread Company, dinner at South on Main restaurant, dessert at Loblolly Creamery and a late night drink at the legendary Midtown Billiards. There is also boutique shopping and our friends own a store front screen print shop and plant lab called Electric Ghost.

The location can't be beat as you are right next to the interstate and downtown. The neighborhood is a bit eclectic but we never felt unsafe. Other than some minor cleaning issues our stay was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

  • This beautiful neighborhood is an eclectic mix of midtown funk and old school Victorian class. It was right up my alley and close to everything I needed. Bring your bike if you're outdoorsy like us for a short ride to the River Market. Donna and her incredibly cute puppy named The Bear made us feel very welcome by coming out to speak, checking with me the next day, and leaving all sorts of good snacks at our disposal. Her place is pretty clean, charming and quite cozy. I am interested to stay there in the winter when we could burn the vintage wood burning stove - if that is an option. * An AWESOME bonus was the access to the washer and dryer that wasn't even mentioned in the description! With young boys, that was an unexpected gift from Heaven. I didn't even know I would need that. Thank you, Donna! I could tell from the completed renovations and those in process that Donna and her husband are very smart, thoughtful people. I really like to see the work of others who appreciate timeless beauty of the old as well as the convenience of modern technology and amenities. I would highly recommend this cottage for a stay.

  • Great spot with great eats right down the block. Enjoy being in a 1880's cottage. The only thing I struggled with was having to duck a lot because the door frames are quite low! I'm 6'4'', I think the average frame about 6'. So a bit more head banging than I like, but otherwise, good spot. I recommend. Thank you Donna.

  • The home is immaculate. I felt like some turn of the century aristocrat in there. The robes and gas fireplace added a very classy touch to our relaxing continental breakfast. Getting in and out was easy and secure. I would definitely stay again

  • Nice place. Took us a minute to figure out the gas fireplace, but it was a cute cottage.

  • We've stayed at airbnbs all over the country and this is one of our favorites. The living space is large with a gas-log fireplace, comfy king-size bed, and big bathroom with a deep tub to relax in after a long day on the road. Really a wonderful little cottage in the center of town near The Root cafe (for healthy or comfort food...get some donut muffins for the road). Check in was easy, communication was fast and accommodating. Excellent respite from the road or for a long stay.

    Rick2018-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent cottage with tree-lined street, parking and everything you may need inside. Older, more charming homes have character, you will see that charm here.

  • My girlfriend and I couldn't have been happier with our visit. We had the pleasure of upgrading from Winslow to Hayward Cottage, and will most certainly be retuning! Susan is a tremendous host.

  • Our stay here was great! The place just has a real cozy feel to it, can be easily accessed from the interstate, and is well equipped/stocked with little touches throughout. And Susan was so nice on the phone to accomodate us in our particular situation. We would stay here again, no doubt.

  • We had a wonderful date night. Went to a concert and stayed here at the cottage instead of a hotel. We had a great experience

  • The Gardeners Cottage was simply ADORABLE! I was in town for a doctors visit but my husband and I used it as an excuse to reconnect and made a mini trip out of it. It was so cute and simple, just what we needed to reconnect. The jacuzzi tub was so relaxing and my husband loved the Waffles and Sausage! This place is within walking distance to cute, local restaurants and only a short Lyft or Uber away from entertainment, if you choose not to walk! We very much enjoyed this stay!

  • The Drummond House is a fantastic place to stay and one we plan to book on future visits to Little Rock. You will love the decor of the home and will find it to be a most comfortable and relaxing stay. Will and his wife gave so much attention to providing a comfortable stay and added the little extras to make you feel right at home. Will met us upon arrival and made us feel right at home. He provided great info on restaurants in the downtown and history of the home and neighborhood. We were impressed with the neighborhood and downtown Little Rock, and we look forward to future visits to see more in this city.

    Paul2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time at Drummond House! We got to Little Rock around midnight due to traveling and Will was able to meet us at the house then to go over everything in the house and how to work everything and also gave suggestions of places to visit in the area. The house was perfect, quaint and just what we pictured. We had a restful night and comfortable living quarters as well as places to put our food and to prepare in the kitchen. If you have a car there’s easy street parking and cute places in that area to check out such as coffee shops, gardens, and a museum. I definitely would recommend you to stay here and I would stay in Drummond House if I came back to Little Rock again.

  • This house was perfect. My colleague and I came to Little Rock for a workshop with the administrative courts and it was just 5 minutes away from the government buildings. The home itself was lovely; beautifully renovated, stylish, and comfortable. There is a lovely, quiet backyard with lots of leaf coverage and a nearly 100-year old goldfish pond, perfect for relaxing near. The beds were comfortable and I appreciated having a fan supplied for comfort and ambient noise. Checking with Will was smooth and efficient. He supplied toiletries in case we forgot anything. Everything was very clean. I will definitely stay at Drummond House if I have occasion to return to Little Rock.

  • There were pros and cons for this stay. Great location and cheap, but you get what you pay for. There was lots dog hair, it hadn't been vacuumed properly, and strange food stains on bedroom walls and lots of stains in bedroom carpets. Good kitchen for cooking and needed utensils. Nice living room areas, couches, and TVs.

  • Wonderful stay in a vintage home that exudes Southern charm and ambience. The decor was as pictured and with so much natural light and lovely table lamps the atmosphere was airy and light. The king size bed was fantastic. The spa tub was wonderful with a shower head that was like rain. This location was quiet and easily accessible from Hiway 630 and close to downtown Little Rock.

  • We had an excellent week staying at Hayward cottage. The heating and cooling options worked out great, the jacuzzi tub was very nice, large warm soft bed, kitchen was just the right size, and the instructions were all very clear. Perfect little cottage for my first big vacation with my girlfriend.

  • My birthday retreat at the Hayward Cottage was everything I wanted it to be: relaxing, quiet, and comfortable. The jacuzzi bath tub and the garden were both a soothing balm for a tired Mom. I loved that it was so close to Main Street and especially The Root Cafe. Also, it was impeccably clean and the decor is charming.

  • Susan's cottage is a great find in LR. Very close to shopping, amazing restaurants, and parks. Check in is quick and easy, and the home offers all the amenities of a nice hotel as well as a great backyard. The communication was great, and had very fast response times even though it was a holiday week. We'll definitely be staying here on our next trip through LR.

Centrally located in the heart of downtown Little Rock and the Quapaw Historic District, the property is in close distance to many attractions such as the Arkansas River Trail, the Clinton Presidential Center, the Arkansas State Capitol, our bustling business and financial district, two pedestrian bridges, three beautiful public parks, countless restaurants, shops, museums and more.
  • George’s place is a nice place to turn in to after a long day or coming back from shopping. The gated parking is a nice touch too. Be aware that there is nothing to use to shower with, like shampoo/ soap. Also there is a filter coffee maker but no filters or anything to make coffee with. The master bedroom heating vent points right to your face as you sleep from above so be careful you may get sick/ feel super dry. With those things in mind (and easy to prepare for) this is a great clean place ! Everything had an up to date feel and I would recommend it.

The beds were comfy, the decor was light and airy. We worked out in the gym too! The location is great, as we were already familiar with places to go in that part of town, and it was close to major roadways. .All in all, comfortable and much better than other accommodations.

  • This apartment is gorgeous, like something out of a magazine. It’s fairly new so everything was squeaky clean. Just be sure to bring your own hand soap, dish soap, etc. It’s located a couple of minutes from downtown and the SoMa district is super close which has great restaurants. • What an adorable cottage. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The decor was tastefully done. I especially loved the books and artwork. On arrival we found batter for waffles, sausages and all of the necessary fixings for our breakfast the next morning including a waffle iron and a variety of coffee options. I only wish we could have stayed longer to have been able to enjoy the tree top patio more. I hope to have the opportunity to stay here again.

    Debra2019-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute place & pet friendly!

    Kelsey2019-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the Treetop Cottage and it was lovely. It has an old house charm to it that really feels time and place from how it is decorated to the amenities it offers as well. Self check-in was easy and the place was sparkling clean. Breakfast was provided for all of us (Belgian waffles, sausage, and coffee) and was delicious! A nice touch is that all of those extra amenities are prepped ahead of time: the coffee machine is already loaded with water, the waffle mix and sausages are ready to be cooked, etc. There are extra amenities such as space heaters, blankets, robes for the whirlwind jet pool/shower, soap, and almost anything else you can think of. It really is a fully included stay for those that are looking for more than just a couch to sleep on! A few things to note. It is an older house so it can definitely be drafty in the winter time. During our stay the central heat went out and it got a bit chilly while we slept. However, Susan was responsive when I messaged her and we were able to warm up VERY quickly using the provided gas fireplace heaters (also a very nice and cozy touch to the space). The only other thing to note is that this particular unit (Treetop) is located at the top of some fairly steep and narrow stairs. While this is clearly mentioned in Susan's description I just wanted to forewarn anyone who might be wary of such things. The stairs did not impact us at all but just a heads up to those who are wondering. While we were only there for an overnight stay, our limited time was still very easygoing and enjoyable. I would love to come back when it is warmer to enjoy the weather and the beautiful garden outside as well! Thanks again to Susan for hosting us at her cottage :)

    Shannon2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay here! Came in and stayed 1 night for a wedding. The downtown venue was only 9 minutes away which was great. Check-in and communication regarding check-in was efficient. We were easily able to find the parking area due to this. Cute little garden behind the house and below the stairs leading to our rooms. There are a lot of stairs but the host does a good job of informing you of this prior to coming. This would not be a handicap accessible lodging. The rooms themselves have such nice little touches and are clean and well decorated. For one night we didn’t mind that the king bedroom is set-up in what others may consider the living room. Adorable bathroom down the hall with an awesome bathtub. Amenities such as towels, soap, shampoo provided. The kitchen is small but has everything needed. We enjoyed the complimentary items to make waffles, sausage, and coffee. There is a small little sitting room to eat. While sitting in it I did feel the room had a small slant to it, but it is an older house and this lodging is the very top one. Some of the family were able to walk to a cafe nearby for dinner. There is also a nice private sitting area outside the rooms which we enjoyed. Overall very nice stay with lots of extra touches.

  • Super nice folks working here, they try to be very helpful to people navigating Little Rock and those that are new to the hostel-ing experience. The building is pretty cool and is super clean. Slept comfortably. Only one other person there and they were chill. Bring your own lock for the storage unit under the bed. I was traveling with my equipment and was a little nervous about leaving it in the room while I went out for a beer but all went well.

    Andrea2017-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a phenomenal find and a great place to stay. I checked in around 8:00pm. There was a phone number prominently placed on the door to gain access (once you're checked-in you gain access with a key fob). I felt the building was very secure and safe. Check-in was a breeze and the person checking me in was friendly and eager to help make my stay as comfortable as possible. The common area feels cozy and the decor is awesome with all of the firefighter memorabilia. The different dorms are accessible with your key fob as well, so again, I felt safe in the women's dorm. The dorm was clean and the mattress was comfortable. There were many outlets conveniently placed around the room. The entire mattress is covered with a protector, and the protector didn't have a plastic feel or sound. The bathroom was also very clean and had shampoo, conditioner and liquid body wash as well as a hair dryer. A previous reviewer mentioned being able to hear things downstairs; I did find this to be true, however, at 9:00pm or so, the overnight person turned on a fan system that runs between the two floors which provides some white noise and after that, I really didn't hear any noise from my room. I found it to be very quiet overnight and I slept well. There are other little perks, such as books to read, free wi-fi, a computer to use, a place to do laundry for $3.00 per load, and food items for purchase as well. The kitchen area is equipped well with a hot plate, toaster and microwave, as well as all the cookware and dishes. The fridge is massive and all guests are able to store food. They also have info on many places that will deliver food here if you're not in the cooking mood. In the morning I found coffee ready, milk, juice, and several different cereals (I think there was also bread for toast.) Overall I felt this place was an excellent value! I already plan on additional stays here.

  • Easy, cheap, friendly, & accessible!

    Shelby2016-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really cool unique place. Loved that it was an old fire station with the museum items downstairs. The place was spotless when I arrived. It was dorm-style room, but I was the only one in the room that night. The front desk people were very helpful and went out of their way to be courteous and give tips. Also, an added bonus was that the police station was right up the road, so I felt safe leaving all of my (tons of) stuff in my car during my road trip. Very nice neighborhood. Good value - I'd stay here again.

    Kinda2016-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • I've never stayed in a hostel before but this was a good experience! My only thoughts of a hostel came from movies where Americans get killed. This place wasn't scary at all. The hosts are all really well informed of the history of the building and happy to help. The place had everything you needed and I was really surprised they offer free all you can eat breakfast. My only complaint is that lights out was not when "lights out" was supposed to be, so there was a really bright light from the hall shining into the women's dorm. Other than that it was great.

    Kelsey2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great experience and exactly what I needed! The staff was very friendly, helpful with my late check-in time, and communicated with me clearly and quickly. The firehouse itself is spotless, the decorating is charming and cool, and the neighborhood is beautiful and in such a convenient location to the highway. Thanks for being the perfect hostel!

    Heather2016-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Super nice, genuinely kind hosts and volunteers. The place was spotless and I felt 100% safe here - would highly recommend for folks traveling through the area and wanting to meet fellow travelers. Thanks, all!

  • My stay at the Little Rock Firehouse Museum was comfortable. The place is run by volunteers who are always ready to help. The rooms are clean and provided with all the basic amenities. Overall my experience was quite satisfactory.

  • This place is interesting, clean, fun, and welcoming. The staff are great-- super friendly and gave me great suggestions for nearby food. Easy to find with an adjacent parking lot, on the edge of a gorgeous park with places to explore nearby. I was just in for the night but there's a communal kitchen for use and the key card access to both the main entrance but also your room makes everything secure but easy. Hip vibes, neat history, lovely accomodations. This place made me want to come back to stay longer next time!

    Carrie2016-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Loved my stay! The Firehouse Hostel's convenient location is just a short walk away from numerous restaurants and bars; if you have trouble choosing, the more than helpful staff will let you know what the best choices are. Parking is plentiful and the surrounding park is beyond gorgeous. The keycard-only access is a very reassuring feature of the hostel. The only thing I could consider even close to a negative would be the twin size mattresses, but I'm quite tall at 6'5" and I imagine this not being an issue for most. Hope to stay again soon!

    Brandon2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, friendly staff. Located adjacent to a nice park with many attractions very close. safe neighborhood. Close to highways but not too close. Great place to stay.

  • The Little Rock Firehouse hostel is a good spot! It’s very clean, and conveniently located to downtown. The faces that greet you–as well as stay with you overnight–are nice and hospitable. Both breakfast and coffee are provided in the morning, and the beds are quite comfortable. It’s certainly utilize them in the future for another stay in Little Rock!

  • Cheap and clean. Stayed one night in Little Rock and this place was the perfect place for a one-night place to crash. Decent location, near downtown (I had a $7 Uber from main hub downtown back to place) and two blocks from a cool little brewery. I was one of two people staying in entire building, so I can only comment on how accomodating the place is when empty (had entire room to myself), but the staff is very friendly and the property is newly remodeled (it appeared) and well maintained. Would stay here again.

    Cody2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • I was one of the first 20 guests that stayed at the hostel, it's in a recently remodeled ire station which is really fun. The rooms are very clean and organized, the showers are as well. I would highlight the excellent service James, the night shift receptionist has provided. He is really thorough and helpful -- great hire! The only thing I would think about adjusting is the price, since $30+ is a little bit too much for a shared bedroom in a hostel but since it's a new entity, it's understandable. I recommend it overall.

    Adam2016-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • There was a bit of confusion at check-in but I gave them the benefit as it was brand new. They were getting their sealegs. Some of the front desk people were very easy to get along with, a couple...not so much (but I'm not there to hang out). I stayed 5 nights and on the last night I rolled over and saw a cockroach crawling on the wall. The other girl in the dorm said she saw one that day too. I took out my camera and moved back my bed. There I took a pic of a bug crawling and a mousehole that someone had put a kleenex in. What??? Long story short I went to the airport and sat for 5 hours instead of sleeping. Put my suitcase in the garage and put off a bug bomb to make sure the little critters would not invade my home. Tried to contact management,no reply. The desk clerk did think that sleeping outside (in the park) would be acceptable though.

  • Absolutely fantastic - best place to stay in Little Rock on a budget. Clean, secure, VERY welcoming - like a home away from home in Little Rock. If you've never stayed in a hostel, make sure you understand how they work, but this is hands down one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Thank you for supporting and accommodating Little Rock marathoners - you went above and beyond! Will be back whenever I'm back in the area.

  • I didn't read all the details before I arrived but I was in awe when got thru the front door. Yes this is an actual remodeld firehouse with history decorated through out. Firefighter news and stories and even tools and random artifacts scattered everywhere. The upstairs rooms and showers were very organize and clean. Location is a great middle point to explore Little Rock. Great hostess

  • It's a quirky old museum in the middle of an even stranger park. The flow of ducks, humanity, and the interstate highway goes by in a constant river around you. This hostel stands like a rock in time and space. The ancient relics and implements from firehouses long ago sanctify the place, the common room was my favorite spot here.

  • Talk about feeling like you traveled back in time! I cannot say enough great things about The Empress! We stayed two nights and it was pure heaven! from the grounds to the home itself to the room we stayed in everything was absolutely meticulous, not to mention the sheets on the bed which are the most luxurious I have ever encountered! It was a magical stay and we cannot wait to come back!!!

  • Sharon's place was absolutely perfect in every way and better than expected. They gave a full served breakfast the morning after our stay, were incredibly friendly, and fostered such a restful environment. The neighborhood was so nice as well, and this bed and breakfast was perfectly on the corner of the street with a little parking lot and fountain in the front yard beyond the front porch. The house was huge and so nice all throughout it. I highly recommend The Empress!

I was greeted by Deborah, who was so warm and welcoming and extremely helpful in telling me about some good restaurants and places to go downtown. The room was cool, welcoming, and comfortable with the best sheets I've ever slept in. Breakfast with Alena was absolutely lovely. I highly recommend The Empress! One of the nicest places I've ever stayed in!

Relax in our porch swing or stretch out in the hammock in Moonlight Secret Garden. A "must" experience!! I

  • FIVE STAR STAY! Absolutely loved this place. The bed is comfy. The breakfast is yummy. The cottage has everything you need-hair dryer, extra blankets. The neighborhood is safe. I am really picky and I absolutely loved this place. Very homey and quaint and clean. The dog fence in backyard is a huge plus if traveling with dogs. Would stay again if in Little Rock.

  • Great location for a concert at Verizon Arena. Easy walk down a historic street to a neighborhood of cool shops, cafes, and bars. Renovation very well done, with top-of-the-line fixtures and appliances. Cozy gas heat in each bedroom (in addition to central air). Each bedroom had its own coffee service and bathroom, which is nice in case one room rises before the other. The way breakfast was done is a nice idea. The full kitchen had sausage and a waffle maker ready to go. Five minutes and we had a great hot meal going, on our schedule and with no outside hassles or having to leave the room.

  • The house is charming and was a perfect place for us and our dogs. There is a sizeable yard which the dogs enjoyed very much. The cottage has a lot of character. It is very close to downtown Little Rock with easy access to chic cafes and other amenities.

  • Historic neighborhood, comfortable space and fully fenced back yard for my co-pilot! We stayed one night on a road trip and enjoyed it. Good bed, plenty of blankets, fluffy towels and coffee provided. Not exactly convenient to I40 but worth the drive. Thanks!
