Most affordable room you can find in central London that is just minutes away from King's Cross St. Pancras St. Its a spacious room in a shared apartment and all other occupants are welcoming and helpful. A double bed , 2 cupboards and a chest of drawers is provided and it has a nice big window to let that winter sun come in.
Several tourist attractions like Camden Lock Market and Regent's Canal are close by and many day and night tubes and buses connect my home well to every place in London. I can provide more information about this later, if required.

This is a quaint central london flat with 5 bedrooms shared by Msc students. I am leaving August 12 and my flatmate will be the one handling key drop off and pick up. My double room is quite large with a nice view of the playground behind the flat. The flat has its own small private balcony, kitchen and washing machine. As opposed to finding a summer sublet I a simply piecing it out on Airbnb. My (Hidden by Airbnb) are very nice!
a few minor inconveniences: the door handle to the room has weak screws that secure it so we have to be gentle with it. ( getting fixed during daytime around august 10) The toilet is low pressure so sometimes it requires a second flush. I have lived here a year and love the central location! All very manageable for the budget-friendly traveler. (update, we learned how the hot water heater worked and turned down the max temperature. a former version of this posting mentioned an issue with it that is now fixed! )
Kings cross is cool! Just a quick walk from great british library and camden high street.

Our flat is located in the heart of London, within five to six minutes' walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras station. Its location is perfect for exploring all the sites and attractions of London including Big Ben, Covent Garden, The British Museum, Madame Tussauds, Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral, Tate Modern and many more. Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations provide excellent transport links including the tube, bus, overground trains.
King’s Cross might be best known for King’s Cross and St Pancras stations (plus Harry Potter’s Platform 9¾), but there is much more to the area than travel and train timetables. Recent regeneration has made the area flourish. Bars and pubs in and around King’s Cross range from traditional to achingly hip, and the restaurants feature everything from British to Ethiopian cuisine. There are a host of other things to do as well, with outstanding clubs, music venues and museums nearby, much-loved green spaces, popular Granary Square and a pretty stretch of Regent’s Canal, all of which makes King’s Cross an ace destination in its own right. Clerkenwell is mainly known for its abundance of wonderful places to eat and drink, but there is also a variety of interesting things to do and see in this central neighbourhood. What makes this part of the city such a noteworthy place to visit is the wealth of history that its cobbled streets hold. Book a History Lesson A fascinating place for historians is the Museum of the Order of St John. Dating back to the sixteenth century, St. John’s Gate once formed the entrance to the Priory of Clerkenwell, which dates back even further, to the eleventh century. This was the headquarters of the ancient Order of St. John, where knights would set off to Israel, Cyprus, Rhodes, and Malta. The museum is open from Monday to Saturday from 10AM to 5PM, but a tour is recommended (Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays) for an informative and educational visit. For more of a literary experience, The Charles Dickens Museum is just down the road. Visit the author’s beautiful townhouse on Doughty Street for an insight into his life and the inspiration behind his famous works. If it’s good shopping that you look for in an area, the small-village feel of Clerkenwell adds charm to its array of delightful independent shops. Design specialist Magma, on Clerkenwell Road, shouldn’t be missed; it has a diverse collection of magazines, DVDs, toys, pinhole cameras, and a series of limited-edition posters. Exmouth Market is a must for gift shops; head to In With The Old for some lovely stocking fillers this Christmas. London is hardly short on food markets as it is, but Clerkenwell has three of the best in the city. Famous Smithfield Market, a Grade II listed building, was designed by a Victorian architect in the nineteenth century. It is not only the design of this market that is fascinating, though; Smithfield is now the city’s main wholesale market, known mainly for its daily cuts of exquisite, quality meat. For a quick market lunch, don’t miss Leather Lane, historically a bric-a-brac market, but now the epicenter of street food in central London, with stalls serving cuisine from Mexico, Thailand, India, Indonesia, and Greece, among other nations. Exmouth Market is a calmer option during the midweek lunchtime rush; Culture Trip advises trying Hummus Bros for a delicious Levantine lunch. Once home to hundreds of Italian families that migrated to London in the 1870s, Clerkenwell still has the Italian charm that was brought to it all of those years ago. The city’s oldest Italian delicatessen is situated on Clerkenwell Road, next to the beautiful St Peter’s Roman Catholic Church. Terroni is the perfect place to pick up cured meats, cheese, and pasta or just grab a coffee in a unique, continental setting. It is no secret that tourists flock to Farringdon station on the weekend, making their way to London’s most famous nightclub. Fabric hosts world famous DJs and is open until 6AM, giving its guests the opportunity to literally dance all night.

Relatively cheap rents and a central London location make King's Cross attractive to artists and designers, attractions and cultural establishments: a major arts centre, Kings Place, next to the Regent's Canal hosts numerous art, music, live comedy and cultural events throughout the year both Antony Gormley and Thomas Heatherwick have studios in the area The London Sinfonietta and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment are both based here, alongside the Pangolin Sculpture Gallery; Central St Martins College of Art and Design has taken up residence in the Granary Building, which looks out over Granary Square, a new public space decorated with more than 1,000 coloured fountains the cutting-edge Gagosian Gallery moved its main London premises to King's Cross in 2004. The British Library is located next to St Pancras Station, displaying some of the world's most famous written and printed items, such as the Magna Carta (1215) and Shakespeare's First Folio. Pubs in the area include The Lighterman, The Fellow, and The Driver. For a quick snack at lunch, the Sourced Market in St Pancras International station offers a diverse range of gourmet foods. Kings Cross has a heritage of nurturing arts and culture. The British Library is located next to St Pancras Station, displaying some of the world's most famous written and printed items, such as the Magna Carta (1215) and Shakespeare's First Folio. The London Canal Museum commemorates the importance of London's canals. The fascinating Foundling Museum tells the story of the Foundling Hospital, London's first home for abandoned babies. The area also features a number of theatres, including the Shaw Theatre and the Bloomsbury Theatre. The Camley Street Natural Park is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of King's Cross: spot wildlife, relax by the pond and learn more at the park's visitor centre. The peaceful St Pancras Old Church is also worth a visit: look out for the Grade I listed mausoleum of Sir John Soane, which inspired the design of London's red telephone boxes. Eat, drink and party in King's Cross King's Cross is full of lively bars, some of which are relatively new to the area, such as, the Spanish Camino, Drink Shop Do and VOC. If you're feeling peckish, there is a great selection of restaurants, including the Caravan cafe, Golden Arrow at Pullman London St Pancras or Bruno Loubet’s Grain Store. Pubs in the area include The Lighterman, The Fellow, and The Driver. For a quick snack at lunch, the Sourced Market in St Pancras International station offers a diverse range of gourmet foods. Alternatively, the exquisite St Pancras Renaissance Hotel – which was originally built by Sir George Gilbert Scott, and saved from demolition by Sir John Betjeman, despite his comment that it was "too beautiful and too romantic to survive" – is the perfect place to treat that special someone: take them for drinks in the Booking Office bar, or for a meal at The Gilbert Scott. You'll also find an all-day restaurant, Plum + Spilt Milk, in the historic Great Northern Hotel, London's first railway hotel. King's Cross is a great place to party! The Scala and the Big Chill House are both in close proximity. Venture a bit further north for Egg, a three-floor club venue with a great outdoor area for lounging. King's Cross is just a short walk from Euston Station – find out more about hotels and attractions near Euston. The King's Cross Partnership was established to fund regeneration projects and the first stage is now open to the public.
