AIRBNB'S #1 "MOST WISHED-FOR LISTING WORLDWIDE!" *Remaining 2018 dates are available exclusively for folks that have the treehouse on their WISH LIST... Suite of three beautifully furnished rooms set among the trees. Just minutes from downtown, this secluded property is an urban retreat like no other. The treehouse provides an intimate, simple and restful retreat for 2 people. The treehouse is the subject of innumerable articles, blogs, Treehouse Masters and Today Show.
We are honored to have been named Airbnb's "#1 most wish-listed property in the world"!!! Thank you! The treehouse has a Southern nature - gracious, calming, and comfortable. Centrally located within the heart of intown Atlanta, the treehouses are a hidden gem. The subject of TV and magazine features including the Today Show, "Treehouse Masters: Ultimate Treehouse IV", Architectural Digest, Travel + Leisure, Harper's Bazaar, and numerous others, they are often described as being the most relaxing, romantic, dreamy and unique place you'll ever stay. What could be better than falling asleep in the trees and waking up to birds singing around you--all within the city limits? The treehouse consists of 3 separate areas - Mind, Body and Spirit - each connected by rope-bridges. Descriptions of the 3 rooms are below. Mind - The Sitting Room: Antique furnishings and artifacts including 80 year old windows of pressed butterfly wings, a plaster cast of a Siberian Tiger paw, fossils, a couch and chairs, its a great place to read or talk and has a balcony overlooking an acre of lush woods... Body - The Bedroom: Sleeps 2. What could be better than a great bed up in the trees? The super comfortable double bed is outfitted with the world's best bedding: Parachute. These cozy linens are made of 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton and pure Linen. They're Oeko-Tex certified, meaning no harmful chemicals or softening synthetics have been used. You'll have your best night's sleep ever here at the Treehouse! The bed is equipped with wheels so it can either be inside the room or rolled out onto a platform that overlooks the stream below. The mattress has a warmer for cool nights and the tin roof makes rain storms something to be enjoyed. Spirit - The Hammock Deck: Open to the elements and immersed in thick greenery, the deck surrounds the spirited "Old Man", a 165 year old Southern Short-Leaf Pine tree--the largest of the 7 trees that support the treehouse suite and watch over its guests. BATHROOM IS LOCATED IN THE BASEMENT/LOWER LEVEL OF OUR PRIVATE HOME. GUESTS WILL HAVE EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO IT DURING THEIR STAY. The treehouses and main house share a lot and are within a 30 second walk to one another.
The neighborhood is a quiet, residential place. While our lot is located in a particularly peaceful, private and lush part of the area, it is important to remember that it is in the middle of intown Atlanta. And while very private, you can see other residential buildings from the treehouses.. While you may hear the occasional siren, normal neighborhood noise, the devil's hair dryer (leaf blower) or train whistle during your stay, the most common sound is that of silence broken only by birds, frogs and the wind in the trees.
  • Peter was such a wonderful host (and I'm sure Katie is too, we just had most contact with Peter for our stay!) right from the beginning; he really couldn't do enough to help us and make the last night of our honeymoon such a memorable stay. The treehouse itself is incredible - the pictures are completely accurate but being there is another matter. Suffice to say, we'll remember our stay for the rest of our lives. It really was magical. Peter & Katie: thank you so much for everything you did to accommodate us; you really do go above and beyond for your guests in this magical space!

  • A fantastic experience! Peter, Daisy and Haskell were all amazing hosts (we didn't get the chance to meet Katie), the setting was lovely and the ambiance perfect! We cannot recommend this place highly enough; thank you Peter for sharing this wonderful treat!

  • The treehouse is exactly as advertised. There is a reason it gets a perfect rating on every category (except value, but that's more the customer). I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and we had an amazing time. The bugs were not as big of an issue as I was scared of and the temperature and ambiance was perfect. I loved my stay here and would recommend it for anyone wanting a romantic getaway or just a fun adventure doing something you couldn't find easily anywhere else. Also, they don't advertise this but they offer you a guest bedroom in their main room just in case you get a little too much outdoors or just want to come inside for whatever reason. We didn't use the room at all but knowing it was there was a plus.

  • We loved every second of our stay. We were fortunate enough to have our wedding at this dreamy treehouse! Exchanged our vows under "the old man," the huge, 100+ year old tree at the end of one of the two rope bridges. It was a special day for all of us, and we couldn't have picked a better location. Peter was an amazing host, and went out of his way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. We recommend this listing to everyone. Words can't describe the atmosphere, and pictures don't do justice. This place was perfect. Thanks again for everything! Alexandra & Paul

  • Our experience in the treehouse was divine. We were greeted with snacks, a bottle of wine, and the thrill of a weary traveler: a carafe of chilled water. The bed is wheeled and you can push it out from beneath the roof to sleep under the stars. We saw dozens of lightning bugs, slept right out in the open, and enjoyed the most inviting warm breeze. And no bug bites! Katie and Peter were wonderful hosts as well. We really felt like old friends by the end of our 2 day stay. They made sure we had all the information we needed about Atlanta, where to eat, how to get there, what time we wanted them to bring us morning coffee even. Were it not for a wedding we needed to attend, I think we might have tried to hang out with these two a bit more. This is a wonderful place to visit on your journey. I hope we will get the chance to stay there again.

  • While I regularly use AirBnB for work / personal travel -- over 15 times in the last year -- no property or AirBnB experience I've ever had has ever come close to what Peter and Katie have created. This property is pure magic. And it is a thousand times worth getting on a plane to fly across country -- as my wife and I did just this past weekend -- just to stay in this tree-lined wonderland. The photos (which Peter and Katie provided) do brilliant justice to what you'll experience, so expect nothing less. But truth be told, until you are living the bridges and nighttime fairy lights and bird calls and dappling sunlight, no photo will be as good as the experience itself. And, as a bonus, Peter and Katie are truly wonderful hosts in every respect. Get to know them. Take time to hear stories and learn about why they created this remarkable property for others to visit. A few more things: welcome the morning coffee that arrives by gentle bell; definitely sleep 'under the stars' on the balcony; choose to order a pizza and eat on site one night (no matter how tempted you are to go out for a brilliant meal); spend more time napping at the treehouse than being an active tourist in town; and be prepared to be transported away from everything you left at home.

  • If you are into forest magic and a sweet host, this place is for you. Charming. Park your car and don't leave until your time is up. Use a delivery service for food and drink and enjoy a little piece of heaven!

  • Katie and Peter's tree houses are truly unique and beautiful. If you want a quiet retreat in nature that is close to everything in Atlanta, do not hesitate to book their tree houses! Our favorite part of the experience was laying on the bed, relaxing, and looking up into the trees. It also rained during one of the days of our stay, and it was just wonderful to listen to the rain on the tin roof.

  • Très beau petit appartement très confortable et soigné, dans un quartier calme tout près du zoo et d'une ligne de bus (32) vers le centre ville d'Atlanta. Accueil charmant, aucune mauvaise critique à faire! Nous avons été enchantés!

  • Serap's place is really good, just as described. It's not the best BnB in Atlanta for no reason - safe neighborhood, walking distance to the park/zoo, well equipped... just book it!

  • We had a great visit with Jason and Serap! The apartment was beautiful and everything we needed. Jason was so helpful! We enjoyed walking around the Grant Park neighborhood and tried some of the local food joints. It was great to park in the back off street and was easy to unload/load car. We so appreciated being able to bring our dogs. Highly recommend staying here !

    Laurie2015-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Serap's place is the best value for a stay in Atlanta! It's extremely CLEAN and welcoming. Serap welcomed us to her home and was there if we needed her. The neighborhood was very secure and has an awesome coffee shop nearby (Octane)! Just under 10 minutes to downtown about 3 miles or so. Overall, great place to stay and cheaper than a standard hotel.

    Wasi2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect lil place. Serap and Jason are such a great couple. The neighborhood was really close to town. Easy to find. The apartment was exactly as pictured. Very clean! Netfix for the evening and coffee the next morning. Plenty of great restaurants. Serap even helped us find a great lil vegan place nearby. This is my GOTO when it comes to Atlanta.

    Tommy2014-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Serap's lovely little home within a home for two nights - and it was a fantastic stay. Everything we needed and more was provided (the coffee pods were a great little bonus) - and the space was clean and tidy! Really close to the zoo and park, and not far at all from downtown and the aquarium etc! Fully recommend this gem if you are ever in the Atlanta area and need a place to stay!! :)

We are the #1 most Wish-Listed Airbnb in Atlanta! Featured on Treehouse Masters, our magical treehouse was built with antiques, luxe beds, power, AC/Heat, marble bath, in a private bamboo forest, on a working farm. Watch llamas wander the forest; listen as roosters crow 15 feet above the bamboo forest floor, yet in Atlanta. We book TV, movies, weddings, videos, photography for SPECIAL RATES! Check out the 3 bedroom Luxury Llama Cottage also on property. Website is (Website hidden by Airbnb)
We are the #1 most Wish-Listed Airbnb in Atlanta! We were honored to be featured as an Ultimate Treehouse! Episode to be aired on Octob (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) at 9 pm. We also just filmed a Netflix dating show, ABC Primetime TV Show, "Kevin Probably Saves the World" and filmed 3 episodes of the VH1 show "Love & Hip Hop," filmed a multitude of music videos (Trey Songz was a highlight), an indie movie, commercial videography, still photography, intimate events, and weddings. Message me for details if you're interested in these special filming or photography or wedding rates. We don't allow parties in the treehouse, but can handle small parties in the Llama Cottage. Message for rates please. Up and away in the front yard of our treehouse, lives the gorgeous Luxurious Llama Cottage in Hip East Atlanta--check it out on airbnb. It's beautifully designed and appointed brick cottage with views of the barn, llamas, and alpacas. In our treehouse, you wake up on the queen size memory foam bed in a climate-controlled loft and peer out the large skylight at the swaying zen bamboo. Look to the Southern gable and take in the gorgeous jewel tones of the stained glass and see the bamboo through the French doors. Look to the forest floor to see grazing alpacas and a llama. We also have our beautiful and comfortable swinging rope bed (Bali bed) decked out with a slew of comfy pillows and a full sized mattress! The treehouse is built with all reclaimed architectural antiques, so staying here is like living a jewel box, an art project. Roosters crow nearby because you are on a working farm, in City of Atlanta. You are 15 feet above the forest floor, tucked into the middle of a 80- year old bamboo forest. And there are beautiful Bolivian suri alpacas (like a small llamas with dreadlocks) roaming: Paloma Piper, Caitlin Tastee, Elfie Fay Von Picklesprite, and Sunny Shevoun. We also have two gentle, calm llamas named Dali Llama and Llama Mia Figaro (Figgy) roaming. This treehouse was built with reclaimed architectural salvaged elements so you have the feeling you are in a historic room with the multi-colored walls of heart of pine beaded board. But the two skylights, with views of the bamboo canopy above, shed dappled light through the vaulted ceiling and remind you that's it's not the late eighteen hundreds. Some of the beaded board was reclaimed from Civil War era homes. The treehouse features several pieces of turn of the century stained glass, heart of pine floors from an old nineteen oh five church, Victorian French doors that open onto a wrap- around catwalk, a composting toilet, heat and air, and electrical throughout. You'll want to sip your coffee or a glass of wine on the large treehouse porch, held up by black locust trees, still sporting their bark. Or maybe you'll want to walk around the deck of the tree house to check out the bamboo forest or the alpacas and llamas. The tree house roof is clad in eighteen sixty-one South Georgia barn tin, so if it rains, you'll have a night of gentle percussive rhythm (we sprayed insulation foam so the treehouse is energy efficient and the roof not too loud). Our stairs are live-edge heart cedar and quite beautiful. The treehouse is wrapped in cedar trim and vintage heart of pine siding salvaged off an old Atlanta house (the porch, so it wasn't painted). We furnished our tree house in antiques and we have a composting toilet, a small fridge, a Keurig coffee maker, 3 gallons of potable water, and an antique enamelware wash basin to wash your face. The fully functional (running water) marble bathroom is a short walk down a rustic path through the bamboo forest. Contact us if your also interested in having a wedding here (they are so magical), doing engagement photography, shooting music videos, hosting small events for (eight or less)or shooting a television show. These have special rates and terms. But we are happy to accommodate! We have two other gorgeous Airbnbs as well: Atlanta Llama Luxury Cottage (on the same property and we allow kids here). The cottage is in the middle of the llama/alpaca herd so you can see them from every room and the spaces are beautiful. And we have Historic House of Blues in Hip, Hot Kirkwood. It’s a gorgeous nineteen twenties Craftsman bungalow close in town and filled with charm!
The Neighborhood of East Atlanta The neighborhood is residential but we are a working farm, so you'll hear the crowing of roosters although somewhat muffled by the bamboo. But be mindful that you're in Atlanta and you may hear the occasional siren or traffic sounds during your stay. You'll also hear the birds that live in the bamboo, the humming of alpacas, and the quacking of the nearby ducks. There are a ton of delicious eateries and bars in East Atlanta Village: Argosy, Holy Taco, The Shed, We Suki Suki and the Buford HWY Collective of amazing food vendors, Thai-Sushi, Soba, Midway, Tomatillos, Grant Central Pizza, and The Elder Tree (Irish Pub). We also love Poor Hendrix up on Hosea L. Williams Drive.
  • I can't say enough good things about Kara's treehouse. Legitimately a beautiful treehouse, in a bamboo forest, on an alpaca farm, 10 minutes from East Atlanta Village. What more could you want!? The perfect birthday celebration spot for myself, my boyfriend, my best friend and her boyfriend. We celebrated at the treehouse with a small group of family and friends early in the afternoon, then went into EAV for dinner and drinks, and the four of us came back to the treehouse for the night. If you're an Atlanta local, this place is the ultimate staycation. If you're from out of town, you'll love it... stay here for the night, and go to any of the awesome restaurants and bars in EAV. My friends and I agreed - we've gotta come back here at some point. It's magical. Kara and family - thank you for your hospitality. :)

    Bess2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • The tree house was everything we hoped for in our stay. Kara and Kate were great! Dali Llama and crew were great too!

    Keith2017-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was absolutely amazing! The treehouse, scenery, alpacas, llamas, dogs and all the other farm animals were so wonderful. The treehouse is absolutely beautiful and it’s such a nice break from the loud, crazy city.... but such a short drive to East ATL for anything you need. Waking up to the light coming though the bamboo forest was my favorite. Tip when you go: bring more than 1 bag of carrots for the alpacas and llamas! It was SO fun feeding them but they ate fast :)

    Brooke2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is everything it looks like and more. Kara gave me the grand tour and I could tell how much work she puts into the place. The first thing you see when you walk up are the llamas/alpacas. Next stop is the entrance to the bamboo forrest, where the treehouse stands. The first thing you notice is the incredibly comfy bali bed hanging from bottom! The treehouse is very unique, I felt like I was really in the wilderness, even though it is located only about 100 feet from her house. After that there is a little more to the farm; there are some chickens, roosters, ducks, and their 2 adorable dogs. The treehouse did not disappoint and I would highly recommend it!

    Eric2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kara was a spectacular host, and has created the most magical getaway for our small group of friends! We could not have had a more perfect experience, and spend the entire visit reading, playing games, feeding the alpacas/llamas, lounging on the Bali bed, and enjoying the sanctuary of the bamboo forest. It was such a refuge for rest and relaxation, but conveniently close to trendy restaurants, shopping, and experiences. I wish our stay was longer!

    Elle2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I loved everything the Tree house had to offer plus a farm on the side only a few minutes from Atlanta. Perfect location and bed was comfy (that’s always a plus when away from home). Highly recommend!! Perfect little get away! Kara was also such an awesome host!

    Amberley2017-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a one of a kind experience! So glad we were able to spend time learning about the Alpacas and my husband even got a kiss from one:)

    sari2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • So unique - from the bamboo forest to the alpaca to the quirky little village just minutes away. The treehouse has just about everything you need - just be prepared to make a short walk to the bathroom and know that the loft is super warm and cozy but sleep on the downstairs sofa could be a bit chillier (though there are plenty of linens!) and, um, lumpier (as sofabeds tend to be). But it is worth it to sleep under the twinkle lights around the treehouse in the bamboo forest! Be sure to bring baby carrots for the alpaca, and hit up Revolution Donuts at some point!

  • The condo was very clean and in an excellent location. A+ all the way around. We didn't get to meet John but he was very quick with responses to all of our questions and concerns. We will definitely be back next time we visit ATL.

    Ross2014-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really enjoyable time at John's place. The apartment is spacious and was as described. The property is located in the downtown area and most of the sightseeing places were walkable. We were lucky to watch july 4th fireworks from the apartment's balcony.

  • Nice place, nothing fancy but well-priced, clean, convenient to downtown locales. Right near major hotels, good restaurants, 10-15 minute walk from Olympic park and convention center. Concierge in building who handled key exchange, etc. Would stay again.

    Matthew2016-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and super location. We were able to walk to almost everything - and the stuff we couldn't was easy to get to. UFO on top of the Hyatt Regency at night was a bonus view! Would definitely stay here again on a return trip.

    Yvonne2015-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Had a small issue with the key getting stuck, not John's fault, but he had it solved within less than ten minutes of me calling. It was good to know that he was readily available if we had any issues. Location was amazing! An easy walk to all of the attractions; we walked to the aquarium, world of coca-cola, and the philips arena. Overall for our short stay it was great because it was close to everything we were going to.
