Launch your Moab adventures from a mid-century decorated Bed & Bagel located 5 miles from Arches National Park and 1 mile from city center! The Palisade bedroom has a queen bed, couch, mini fridge, in-room coffee service, locking door, window air conditioner, private entrance with single parking space and USES THE SHARED BATHROOM. A simple CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST is provided including bagels, cereal, oatmeal, bananas, yogurt, cream cheese, jam, lactose free milk, almond milk, orange juice, tea and coffee. Guests are NOT PERMITTED TO COOK OR USE THE LAUNDRY but are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare cold meals, use the microwave, toaster, tea kettle, common areas, garden patio, guest townie bicycles & on-property parking. CYCLIST FRIENDLY! A custom bike garage provides bike storage, mechanic stand, basic bike tools and wash station. Bring a 4-6ft cable or coil lock for added security. Also, townie bikes (with lights, locks and helmets) are available to use after signing a liability waiver. GREAT LOCATION in a QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD 5 miles to Arches National Park. 32 miles to Canyonlands National Park. 1 mile to the center of town. The house showcases 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, saltillo tile flooring and a large open floor plan for the living, kitchen and dining room. A swamp cooler keeps the house comfortable in the hot season. The manager lives on property. Please be aware that there is a NO DOG and NO CHILDREN under 8 policy at the house. ALSO...I have 2 female CATS named Kokachin and Mei Lin. They do not have access to the bedrooms, but are welcome in the common areas of the house. All that being said...I hope to be your host as you launch your adventure from here!

My home is what's known as a "timber frame" which I built myself in the quiet north-end of town near the Matheson Wetlands Preserve and a short distance from the entrance to Arches Nat'l Park. The master bedroom occupies the upstairs portion of the house and has a magnificent view of "The Portal". Note that the bedroom is not "walled off" as such from the downstairs, i.e. there is no locking door upstairs due to the nature of the home and the way the heating/cooling system works.
As I mentioned in the basic description, the structure of my home is what's known as a "Timber Frame" which I built about 20 years ago. The joinery is all "mortise and tenon" and held together by wooden pegs or "trunnels" (tree-nails). It's the same way barns etc. have been built for hundreds of years. The timbers are all native ponderosa pine and spruce from the now defunct sawmill in La Sal. I've also built a lot of my homes furnishings.
The entire town of Moab is quite unique...I probably don't need to tell you that. We're about 100 miles from Grand Junction and 250 from Salt Lake City; the nearest population centers. On the other hand, Moab is so majestically isolated that you could literally go on a different hike every day for the rest of your life and still not see it all.

How do you picture your Moab adventure? Does it include a picturesque sunset and a night sky filled with stars? Look no further... Featuring 1 private master bedroom with queen bed, 2 queen sized bunkbeds. We can come dump and refill it on site if the need arises (first fill on stays over 3 days is free, all others are $50, payment due at time of service) but for longer stays we recommend staying in an rv park for unlimited water and power. 3-) Outdoor Living Area: Outdoor shower Camp chairs Outdoor speakers for Bluetooth stereo Propane grill All linens for beds, pillows and blankets provided for your comfort. Everything you need to enjoy your time here without all the stresses. If you want to use TV/DVD, A/C and microwave you will need to be hooked into a 110v power source. Generator for powering these is avaliable for $50/stay. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND ONE DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. Generator will be filled upon delivery and holds enough gas to run the generator for 8-10 hrs, we will leave a gas can should you like to purchase more gas to run it longer. Everything else runs on propane or batteries which are kept charged by solar panels 50% of cleaning deposit refundable on stays 3 nights or more if you leave the camper in good condition. We will deliver the camper to your site of choosing within 15 miles of downtown Moab for free. Distances outside of this are still possible with an additional delivery charge. If you want to experience some off grid camping, a 4x4 or AWD vehicle is recommended for the best spots. Low clearance and 2WD vehicles can still be accomadated but are limited to less private and scenic areas. National parks and forest service lands not available.
Camping spots are at a premium here in Moab. There are options to chose from: We can deliver onto BLM property!! This means a lot of areas that are off limits to others...are open to you when you stay with us. Including the campgrounds along the river, up in the beautiful Sand Flats recreation area, along Kane Creek and out by Ken's lake. You can call any number of RV resorts for a camping spot. Most of these will have spots with 110v power for A/C, TV and microwave use. Boondocking...this is basically dropping the trailer out in the wilderness for you to enjoy Moab off the grid. If you want to experience some off grid camping, a 4x4 or AWD vehicle is recommended for the best spots. Low clearance and 2WD vehicles can still be accomadated but are limited to less private and scenic areas. Generator option also needed for A/C and we HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ONE DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. The camper holds 60 gallons of water, which we find is enough for a few QUICK showers. For longer stays, we find that an rv park is more suitable. Keep in mind, the lights, refrigerator, stereo, hot water, etc...all run off batteries and supplied propane so that's a non-issue.

Fantastic location! Backs up to Millcreek Parkway open space. Located about three blocks west of the happening Main Street Moab core, but a quiet neighborhood. Scott Matheson Nature Preserve is located nearby on Kane Creek Blvd. Great bird watching! 'No Name BMX Park' located at west end of street. If you have dare-devil kids, they will love this! Or watch the locals do their crazy bike stunts! The Swanny City Park is located nearby. Nice and grassy. Farmer's Market, skateboard park, rec center with 'fun pool'.

Launch your Moab adventures from a mid-century decorated Bed & Bagel located 5 miles from Arches National Park and 1 mile from city center! The Labyrinth bedroom has two XL twin beds, private sink and toilet, ceiling fan, locking door, in-room coffee service and USES THE SHARED BATHROOM SHOWER with two other rooms. All box springs, mattresses and pillowcases in the house are protected by bed bug encasements. A simple CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST is provided including bagels, cereal, oatmeal, bananas, yogurt, cream cheese, jam, lactose free milk, almond milk, orange juice, tea and coffee. Guests are NOT PERMITTED TO COOK OR USE THE LAUNDRY but are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare cold meals, use the microwave, toaster, tea kettle, common areas, garden patio, guest townie bicycles & on-property parking. CYCLIST FRIENDLY! A custom bike garage provides bike storage, mechanic stand, basic bike tools and wash station. Bring a 4-6ft cable or coil lock for added security. Also, townie bikes (with lights, locks and helmets) are available to use after signing a liability waiver. GREAT LOCATION in a QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD 5 miles to Arches National Park. 32 miles to Canyonlands National Park. 1 mile to city center. The house showcases 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, saltillo tile flooring, an open floor plan for the living, kitchen and dining room and a beautiful garden patio. The manager lives on property. A swamp cooler keeps the house comfortable in the hot season. WHAT IS A SWAMP COOLER? It is an evaporative system that pulls outside air through wetted bark pads and pushes the cooled air towards open windows. It is NOT traditional air conditioning. Every door has a vent which allows this cool air to enter the room and exit an open window. The ceiling fan in the room provides further air circulation. Please be aware that there is a NO DOG and NO CHILDREN under 8 policy at the house. ALSO...I have 2 female CATS named Kokachin and Mei Lin. They do not have access to the bedrooms, but are welcome in the common areas of the house. All that being said...I hope to be your host as you launch your adventure from here!
