  • Appartement très agréable (si on fait abstraction du train qui passe très souvent). Il est parfaitement situé au centre de Brisbane. Certains équipements sont à remettre en état (climatisation de la chambre et le sèche linge qui ne fonctionne pas, pas pratique avec deux serviettes de bain pour 5 jours). Mais dans l'ensemble nous sommes satisfaits de notre séjour chez Thomas.

  • Had such a lovely experience staying at Thomas's place. Location was great and the apartment was just as described. Our flight was delayed getting in so we were very late to arrive, Thomas's brother waited to meet us and handover keys which was greatly appreciated.   • Great apartment in perfect location! Southbank is only a 5 minute walk and the city 10mins. Heaps of restaurants and the Convention centre and Museum only a few minutes away. The apartment looks like the pictures depict and there's a small supermarket just down the road. Really enjoyed our stay and Thomas was very quick at getting back to us during booking phase and was happy for us to check out at 3pm as no one had booked in for that night. I would recommend this apartment and would stay again.

  • Apartment was a good size, clean and comfortable. Location is great, within walking distance of WestEnd and SouthBank but is still nice and quiet. There is a train line nearby but isn't too much noise to be bother. We were met by Thomas's sister Meg who was very brief, all of a minute to give us the key, take us up to the 7th floor and leave. No real instructions were given which was disappointing as we would have considered using the pool seeing how prominently figured it is in the apartment photos. We walked up and down level 7 where it there is no pool and our key buzzer couldn't access any other floors so I'm not sure how we were meant to know where it is with no instruction given. The weather would have prevented us using the pool this time but even so we should have been given the opportunity by the host. Lastly the apartment is very bland compared to some of the other Air BnBs we have stayed in which have real character. A few plants on the balcony would make the world of difference to enjoy the Brisbane sunshine. But on the whole I can recommend the apartment after our stay.

  • The communication with Thomas (despite him living abroad) was very easy. He was very forthcoming with details and got back to my queries in a timely fashion.   • Vlad est disponible, souple sur les horaires (quand c'est possible bien sûr). C'est une grande chambre d'hôtel au 19 ème étage avec une belle vue. l'immeuble est idéalement placé. Une grande piscine est accessible dans l'immeuble. Micro onde et frigo bien pratique. Brisbane vaut largement une journée de visite.

  • Shikin and Allan have a beautiful relaxed home and such calm, thoughtful energies themselves. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. I suggest taking ear plugs though if you’re staying in the Gypsy Corner as any conversation in the living room carries directly and it can be very noisy in the mornings.

Very considerate and helpful, making sure you have the best experience. The house was always clean and tidy, in particular the kitchen and bathroom always kept clean and tidy. The beautiful rear deck is a great wide open space to either chill out on your own or welcomed in to conversation with the hosts and other guests the evenings.

I receved personal gifts also ( it was a big suprise for me) Very good location, I can reach the central of the city very fast and easily. The accomodation has everything what I needed. I could wash my closthes, I used iron,.... The garden is magnicfic. I tasted the papaya from the garden ,it had a good taste. It's my best accomodation in Australia, Thanks for the massage in place, that the Shikin organized. This man was a professional. Thanks for all!

    Our Penthouse Studio offers a spacious open plan room, suitable for a single person, couple, family (including babies) and business travellers. Balcony overlooking the fabulous Hinterland views of Brisbane, the entire studio is exclusively yours. ☺ Apartment size: 80m2 Large balcony: with outdoor al fresco dining area. This is an open plan space with the option of a king size bed or 2x single beds. With 2x fold out sofa chair beds available for extra persons at an extra cost. Guests have access to DVD player with DVDs. We also have DVDs suitable for children. For a family with infants and toddlers. I do charge $20 for the use of a Portacot, includes bedsheets and blankets. Please let me know if you wish to have this option so I can set it up prior to your arrival. But if you wish to set up the Portacot yourself and put away, then there is no charge or if your children are sleeping with you. We can set up a play tent upon request. I have a baby bath tub for your convenience. Ceiling fan in lounge space and in bedroom space with remote controls for extra comfort. There is a restaurant at Lobby level, open only for breakfast and serves continental breakfast during weekdays or there is Cafe 63 down the road (3mins walk). Bathroom - bath and hand towels - shampoo & conditioner - body wash - hairdryer. I have a suction grab bar for you to use to assists your balance while entering or exiting the shower. There are no steps in the apartment. Housekeeping is available at an added cost $25. This can be organised during your stay. Extra sheets and towels are available at extra costs.
    The apartment is located at 311 Vulture Street, South Brisbane. Hillcrest Apartment Hotel. Next door to Mater Private Hospital, near Queensland Children's Hospital 8mins walk down to the heart of Southbank, cafes, restaurants, cinema and shops Approx 15 - 20mins walk to Art galleries, Queensland Museum, QPAC, the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, State Library of Queensland, The Wheel of Brisbane, GOMA and the Gabba Cricket ground 5mins walk down to the Maritime Museum Ferry Terminal – ride on the free CityHopper to the city or cruise part of the Brisbane River 10 mins to Riverstage, Brisbane and Queensland of Technology University Suncorp Stadium is about 3.7km walk away. If you have pre-purchased tickets to Games or Concerts you can travel on the bus for free to and from the stadium. Mater Hill Station is about 5 mins walk from the apartment. The studio is in a great location my son and I attended a concert at Suncorp Stadium and it was an easy walk home after a great night.     We are close to bus stop 196' 199 , just 6 stop to city centre. close to anything you need. a famous restaurant just in front of the house. 50m away to bar ' pub . some restaurants open till late.

Tout est mis à disposition. Un grand placard (pour ranger tout son shopping). Ying-Ying est adorable et fait les meilleurs dirty chaï du quartier. Compter 5 à 10 min de marche (quasi tout droit) à partir de la gare Brisbane Sud (où le train pour l'aéroport passe)

  • The location is great, super close to Queen St Mall, GOMA, the botanical gardens and all the public transport services. The place was very clean, smaller than I expected but still decent and cosy. Would be great if there was a working washing machine but not essential. The rooms were always cool without air conditioning which was great in the summer heat. Communication with the host was a little tedious and strenuous at first but calling directly was more satisfactory. Overall a good price for the location.

  • The flat is awesome, view, location and design are amazing. Value too. However, the host is so unprofessional and irresponsible that its not worth bothering. The tv didn't work, the host didn't bother to fix it, or to call or answer the email. Wifi had weak signal. Signal was good only at entrance door and it failed if another device would connect. Neighbors signal was stronger even though they were two flats away! Shower drainage was full of hair and water from shower would spill over. There were dirty dishes in dishwasher. The substitute host insisted on my exact arrival timing but she was late 15 minutes. Complimentary breakfast is just milk and muisli. Overall, there are same flats to short rent in same building, SkyTower, whose hosts are better. In conclusion, its not worth bothering. Cheers.

  • I was fortunate enough to stay at Stacie's brand new apartment and I could not have asked for a better host. She was very sweet and quick to reply. Her apartment is situated on the 21st floor (the second highest level). Had a nice back view of South Brisbane. The apartment was very cute and cosy. The view from the apartment rooftop is absolutely breathtaking. You get spectacular views onlooking Southbank, the Brisbane river, the city skyline, and you can even see the story bridge from up there. The rooftop is a great place to unwind and includes an infinity pool. Very much enjoyed my stay here. I would definitely stay here again and 100% recommend this place to everyone!

    The private room is upstairs in a townhouse (bathroom and toilet adjacent) which is near to Southbank, the museums, art galleries and city centre. The latter can be reached on foot (25 minutes) or by bus or City Cat ferry, both of which are less than 10 minutes away.
    Downstairs I have a widescreen TV with a Blu-Ray player, and Netflix and Foxtel streaming services. These are available to guests, providing I am not using them. (Guest of course are welcome to watch with me.) I love interacting with guests and am happy to share a glass of beer or wine with them. I speak German and French fluently and am keen to welcome people from these countries so I can practise my languages.
    I live in West End, a quiet, leafy suburb with lots of cheap cafes and an alternative, arty vibe.

    Big open space with the perfect nook for reading and down time. Wonderful front deck that gets the beautiful morning sun and is perfect for afternoon drinks as well!     West End is such a vibrant suburb everyone is very friendly! You will defiantly enjoy your time spent in around this suburb.

The only issues I had were the footsteps of the story above being quite loud (especially when trying to sleep) and there was very loud music playing on the Friday night so I didn't really get much sleep, which ruined the stay for me. Apart from that the space is lovely, awesome neighbourhood, great host and everything you need within walking distance.

    Large, airy room, queen bed with double mattresses with your own private bathroom in bright, sunny home in fabulous, quirky West End. Walking distance 10 minutes about 800m to fabulous restaurants and bars in West End, 15 minutes to Southbank and 18 minutes to Brisbane City. Relaxed atmosphere, easy going hosts, access to a gorgeous large deck overlooking white, sandy beach pool, tropical gardens. Deck with lounge chairs and upstairs rooftop deck has amazing sunset views to chill out.
    We call it "The Last Resort "because it has its own private beach with silky white sand, pool, huge rear deck with comfy lounges and rooftop deck with views of the river and sunset drinks. West End is a vibrant, alternative, gay friendly area with a wild collections of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and music venues similar to Fitzroy and Surry Hills. The house is white inside and out and catches all the sunrises and sunsets. Your room has a large queen sized bed, and a private ensuite in a white and airy bedroom within a renovated Queenslander house in West End, Brisbane. We live on the same level of the house and our adult children live downstairs. It is so close to the city but so leafy and quiet just near the river but five minutes walking distance to 20 fabulous West End coffee shops, 16 bars and over 40 restaurants. Only 2 kilometres from the centre of the city, all the tourist venues and Southbank Cultural Centre - you can walk, catch a bus or go luxury style in a Rivercat Ferry. We have a limit of 12 days to stay with us because we still love some time to ourselves. We have renovated 5 houses and this is definitely The Last Resort - we don't have another renovation in us! It's bright and white, high ceilinged and airy with tropical gardens. There are plenty of different areas to escape or areas to sit and have a chat. You also have to share the house with two loveable and very friendly white puppies. On the weekends we are happy to share a BBQ and some great Aussie wines or just some advice on the greatest places to go in Brisvegas and tours up and down the coast. Our names are Paula and Rob and we have travelled extensively in Europe Asia and the Carribean. My last adventure was 3 months backpacking around South America and we both love to hear about travel adventures. There is a huge gourmet kitchen if you are into cooking, wireless Internet, street parking and cable in the living room. It's a place to chill out and relax, quiet and secluded but so close to the city and all the action. It's a great location to base yourselves for day trips up to Noosa Heads, Australia Zoo and down to Byron Bay. The buses leave not far from here and if we are around we can drop you at the station.
    Quiet, leafy residential area of Brisvegas full of birdlife, possums and bush turkeys with a view of the river. Close to quirky, eclectic, fabulous bars, live music venues, at least 30 restaurants all within 10-15 minutes walking distance.

You have your own ensuite bathroom with a nice clean shower which is great. I found the location to be good for what I needed with a short walk to places to eat in the west end and o south bank. The house is in a fantastic location just a stones throw to the river, situated close to all the cafes and shops but in a peaceful, secluded location. The outdoor area was lovely and if we had longer we would have loved to enjoy the pool and roof top deck. Our room was great with an ensuite and everything was immaculate and presented well. The dogs are just gorgeous and I could have played with them all day! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place and Paula and Thommo

  • I had a good experience staying at Calen's place. The area is quiet especially at night and the bed and linens were soft and comfortable. The room was big enough and I didn't have any issues despite staying with other house mates who were in the other rooms. It's a good distance from the city and you can just walk going to the south bank parklands. Even though I didn't get to meet Calen as she was away, she had been communicating well with me throughout my stay. Thanks, Calen!

    My Granny flat is spacious and confortable for two people or a family, it is a no smoking inside flat, it is located at 8 minutes walk from the most exciting neighbourhoods of Brisbane with a lovely cafes, bars, restaurants. You can choose to eat Indian, greek, Italian, Vietnamese, chinese, libanese, turkish (Caravanserai with outstanding reviews). West End also has an excellent market on Saturdays morning called Davies Park Market, here you could have your breakfast and also can say hello to me and taste my delious paella and chilli con carne that I cook in my Stall.
    If you are a couple I recommend you to dinner at Caravanserai some blocks away from my house. The food is Turkish, delicious and good service, little greek is another restaurant and you can not miss the Three monkeys cafe in West End. It is an old house with lots of 3 monkeys... you have to see it :-)
  • Dirty. I got the place on instant book and did arrive on short notice, but it seemed like the place hadn't been cleaned in a while. Toilet had been, er, used - it was cleaned on the spot for me, to be fair. Dusty carpets, dead flies and dust on window edges, etc. The bed was ok though.

This place is well set up for people visiting Brisbane for business trips, with its central location and desk space in the rooms. A big kitchen and dining room make it easy to stay in and cook - although the great restaurants and bars nearby will tempt you out! Kate was a reliable and helpful host who communicated very clearly. One thing to note is the place can host several airbnb travellers at once so you may be staying in the house with other people - but decent sized bedrooms with locks on their doors ensure your privacy.

Westmont is a character-filled Tuscan Villa-style building located in the very best spot in West End. You will be hard-pressed to find a better-situated guest house. Guests are mainly Australian and European working professionals. Private room with air con, your own refrigerator, Wi-Fi, wardrobe, desk and lamp. Private bedroom in a complex of 15 bedrooms with complete electronic security. You will have access to your own, lockable private room. All rooms come with comfortable beds and well-maintained appliances such as fridge, fans, desks, lamp and Wi-Fi. There are multiple large indoor and outdoor common areas such as kitchen and dining room, bathrooms, lounge and outdoor courtyards and verandas with superb city views. Westmont is located in the heart of West End, Brisbane's most exciting community. This is the bohemian part of town and we are situated within 30 sec walk of the main strip, Boundary St. West End offers a vibrant nightlife with live music at the Hifi, (Prince has played his after party show there) The Bearded Lady and Lock and Load. The Motor Room at the West End night markets usually has great free live music on Friday nights, along with a varied selection of international food stalls. There are also large city parks within a short stroll away. This is a supremely located building just 30 second walk to Boundary St, the heart of cafe, bar and art culture in West End. It is a 10 minute walk to the South Bank precinct, the Cultural Precinct and a 15 minute walk to the CBD, There are numerous public transport options including buses, trains and ferries all within short walking distance. While Westmont is a friendly and accommodating establishment, it is important to note that this is professional guesthouse as opposed to a private residence.
  • Clarry's place is in an amazing location in Brisbane - just off the main drag in West End with endless bars, cafes and places to eat to choose from. You're only 15 minutes walking from the South Bank and CBD, and there is a super frequent bus service (199) that will bring you further afield to the likes of Fortitude Valley and New Farm. You're also close enough to the ferry to take an impromptu river tour of the city at your leisure. The rooms are spacious and there is plenty of room to store clothes etc. The kitchen is clean and has everything you'll need to eat-in (if you get tired of all the choice around) and there are multiple convenience stores and a big supermarket within 5 minutes of the place. Clarry is super friendly and will provide recommendations, anecdotes, life advice or whatever it is you need on any particular day. He has developed a real sense of community around his place and it's nice to feel like you're part of something while you're away. Whether you're looking to stay for a longer time or just passing through, Clarry's is great option for you.

  • I have only good things to say about my time at Westmont (Clarry's place). In fact I enjoyed my stay so much that after the first month I was there, I decided to stay for a second month. The property is located close to everything; there is a wide variety of bars and places to eat about two minutes from the front door. If you need to get to CBD (city center) there is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill and it's about a five or ten minute ride from there. The best thing about Westmont is by far the people and I believe that I have made some life long friends durring my time there. As far as Clarry's abilities as a host are concerned...Clarry starts out as just a host when you first show up and quickly becomes a friend. At the same time, if any problems or concerns present themselves durring your stay Clarry is quick to resolve them. I had a fantastic two month stay in Brisbane, thanks to Clarry, Bruno, and the entire Westmont crew.

    The apartment is in busy city area. Has great night view, especially if there is fireworks going on. The museum, theater, art gallery, park, bus and train station are only less then 5 mins walk distance. And the Queen Street Mall is only across the bridge. The apartment is letting out 1 room, 1 bathroom a kitchen and a living room with a sofa bed. It's modem and simple, neat and tidy. And during the stay, you can use the building facility such as; Swimming Pool, Spa, Gym and BBQ area.
    The apartment is only a few minutes walk to the museum, theater, art gallery, park, bus and train station. Especially the Queen Street Mall is only across the bridge. And we have great view during the night!
    The apartment building is newly built within only a year. Its hotel style apartment building. Highly modern and well managed space. My neighbour unit is actually hotel room for rent by the manager. So you don't need and won't need to be bother by any other residents in the building. But you will definitely need to follow the common area rules if was stated in the area.

    You will be on the doorstep of Brisbane's vibrant Southbank precinct only 8 minutes walk from the QLD Art Gallery, GOMA, State Library, Museum, QPAC, and Convention Centre. It is an easy walk to West End's many Restaurants. Make sure you include a walk down Fish Lane! A walk over Victoria Bridge takes you to Brisbane's Treasury Casino and the Mall (the heart of the city). The City Glider Bus stop is just a 4 minute walk on Melbourne St and South Brisbane Train Station 7 minutes away.
    This beautiful apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. My room is the second bedroom, you have the main bedroom with it's own bathroom. Your room, the lounge and balcony all face the city. I am a shift worker so you may find that you have the apartment to yourself.
    I love living at South Bank! I can walk to the city, Coles and IGA if I want to do some grocery shopping, the museum, art gallery, State Library, BCEC and QPAC. There are 3 beautiful parklands within easy walking distance and public transportation is within easy access. I am close to the Brisbane River with all its activities and there is a multitude of restaurants and eateries nearby. The weekend markets at South Bank and the Botanical Gardens are always enjoyable to walk through as are the Jan Power’s markets in the city on a Wednesday (8am-6pm). South Bank is an excellent location to base yourself if this is your first time to Brisbane!

Aroha sera évidemment là pour vous faire partager les bons plans ainsi que les choses à visiter dans cette magnifique ville ! Elle a un vrai sens de l’accueil et aime recevoir c’est certain ! De plus le logement est très propre et offre une vue inespérée sur la ville de Brisbane ! De jour comme de nuit c’est un plaisir pour les yeux que ce soit depuis la terrasse de l’appartement ou depuis le rooftop ou vous pourrez profiter de la piscine. C’est à mon avis l’endroit où il faut être pour apprécier Brisbane et être reçu comme dans sa famille ;). Merci Aroha pour cette belle rencontre et ces petites attentions !

Bed is very comfortable, rooftop pool/deck area is great and location you can’t beat - 10 min walk from station. Great spot for travelers coming through would stay again!

Communication with the host was a little confusing, as I read in a previous review, he organised to meet us in the lobby but was upstairs waiting in the room. I messaged him after only waiting downstairs for 15 minutes knowing this was probably the case. Also parking was not included which is not stated in the ad. Overall pretty good value for the location.
