Excellent choice and good food, friendly staff. You normally see people celebrating a birthday or anniversary there. Tel: 01398 32397 There is also a fish and chips shop in the town which is good to pick up and bring back to the house and we're lucky enough to have a good Co-Op which is open until 10pm too where you can get all supplies - plus delis and cake shops. Outside Dulverton Tarr Farm Inn - next to ancient clapper bridge Tarr Steps - is great after a walk - 01643 851507. Good pub food and also a restaurant. Masons Arms at Knowstone - http://www.masonsarmsdevon.co.uk/ - a 13th century pub and Michelin-starred restaurant. Good for a treat! No doubt there are lots of other good places around which you might be aware of - but above is a good selection for a short stay.
