Living in a historical school building, built in the early 1900's. A classroom turned loft, filled with windows of light, original chalk board walls, and hallways lined with lockers. This spacious retreat has high ceilings, and is located in one of the best neighborhoods in Kansas City.
The cutest neighborhood in KC, located on the Westside, we are block away from local coffee shops, restaurants, and the crossroads arts district. This quiet & trendy architectural neighborhood makes for the best strolls/run-ins with locals.
A local arts Mecca made up into the neighborhood of the Westside. From Old homes, to mansions, and rare architecture this is our favorite place to be in KC. Special spots include: Westside Local, Goathill Coffee (Where we go for free wifi), Chez Elle, Blue Bird Bistro, and Fervere Bread are a block away and are our favorite spots!

spacious 1 bedroom home in the KC'S historic Westside neighborhood
our home sits on a hill overlooking the westside with great city views. We are just west of KC's vibrant downtown scene, and home to many local eating and shopping destinations.
  • The bungalow is a very cozy and welcoming environment. Parking was easy. Checking in was easy, and Jessie was great about communicating with me about instructions, wifi password, etc. She also made sure the AC was blasting so we were comfortable upon arrival! The neighborhood is very safe and quiet . It's also very central , yet tucked away. I really liked the Westside Local restaurant, as well as Chez Elle Crepes. There is Goat Hill Coffee nearby, Spokes (which is a bike store as well!), and PT Coffee. I love good coffee and there is a nice selection nearby. I highly recommend the bakery down the street, also, for freshly baked bread. Yum.

  • Great place to stay in the center of the city. Very close to downtown, we never used any transit or taxi, just 15-20 min walk to the city center. Very comfortable apartment: good kitchen, nice bedroom with perfect queen size bed, large bathroom. Many thanks to the host Annette for her quick response and clear communication. Highly recommended.

  • Such a beautiful, welcoming place! Annette was super helpful/accommodating. Will definitely book again next time I'm in the area.

  • Loved this cozy little bungalow! The style was awesome, and the location was great. Close to downtown with lots to do!

    Alexa2018-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very cool to stay in! The bed was AMAZING! The only thing I did not like was no window treatment in the bedroom. It was needed especially since the house is pretty close to the street.

    Elizabeth2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a night on our trip across the country. The decor is very hip and we loved all the plants. The building itself was much older than the photos showed (the outside and ceiling). We slept well and left early. Thank you again.

    Shannon2018-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • I really appreciated the kitchen amenities. The place is also very close to the KC convention center so I could walk there every morning. Nice neighborhood.

Just a short walk from Sprint Center, Kansas City Power & Light District, River Market, and the Crossroad Art District. This quiet private room includes; queen size Sealy memory foam mattress, lockable door, ample closet space, internet access and private full bathroom with toiletries.
The private bedroom is approximately 200 sq/ft. There is enough room for a queen size air mattress to fit alongside the foot of the bed, in case you have a party of three. (I can supply the air mattress if notified in advance). Bedroom includes a large bay window looking out over the neighborhood, a 27" TV with Netflix/Hulu (sorry no cable), coffee maker, tea, a desk with basic office supplies and extra blankets. Attached bathroom has full size bath/shower, hair dryer, and basic toiletries. The bedroom is located on the second floor and is unfortunately, NOT handicap accessible.
Quality Hill is a historic neighborhood near downtown Kansas City, Missouri, situated on a 200-foot-high bluff which overlooks the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri rivers in the West Bottoms below. Situated within fourteen blocks of the Missouri River itself, Quality Hill is the oldest established residential area in the Kansas City metropolitan area to remain continuously inhabited. With it's french-style colonial buildings, the neighborhood still retains a lot of its original charm.
  • A great place to stay in the center of all the fun in Kansas City! The room is a nice size and very clean with stylish decor. Mark was informative and was quick to respond to any questions I had. I highly recommend this room!

    Angela2018-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mark was waiting in the doorway as I got out of the cab. What a host. He communicated with me in advance of my stay. His place is clean, tidy and very convenient to the convention center. Two thumbs up!

    Aaron2016-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's home is exactly as pictured. Mark made certain that I was met when I arrived. The bedroom is quiet and comfortable. I would return the next time I'm in Kansas City. Mark, thank you for being such a good host.

    LaValle2018-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mark was brilliant when I arrived several hours late due to plane delays. He had really useful information ready on the desk and gave good restaurant recommendations. The place is very clean, really convenient to the free Street car and it is easy to get around even without a car. Very convenient to the conference centre. Would definitely stay again.

  • Mark is a phenomenal host! I was in town for a week for an educational workshop that was located at 10th and Main. Mark's place was a quick 6 minute walk, so it was perfect. The apartment is located in a nice neighborhood with street parking that was generally always and easily available. The room was very clean and more spacious than the pictures let on. Mark was very friendly yet extremely respectful of my privacy and the fact that I had work to do every evening. He was the perfect host! He even set out an extra umbrella for me because he knew there would be rain that week. I definitely hope for another opportunity to stay with Mark in the near future!

    Bettie2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Mark’s place is impeccably clean and stylish, conveniently located and a great value. Mark is very hospitable and gave me plenty of tips on local attractions and restaurants/bars to visit. The nightcaps were an excellent touch! I would highly recommend for anyone needing to stay in Downtown KC, especially for events at the KC Convention Center (7 minute walk).

    Rumbi2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this stay was five stars! From the location to Mark himself as the host, everything was awesome. His recommendations for food and things to do were all great. This will be our stop on all future KC trips, and we would invite everyone else to do the same!

Come stay in our private studio apartment in our awesome turn of the century home in the historic Westside neighborhood of Kansas City. Just blocks away from downtown, Crossroads and unique restaurants and shops. Just a quick Uber ride away from Westport or the Plaza.
The space is a comfy studio apartment with private entry. Sleep in a super comfortable queen-sized bed, enjoy free WIFI, a full kitchen, and your own private bathroom. There is an on premise security camera upstairs which points to the front porch of the house for security. This records audio and video for 3 hours and is only monitored if needed. Please note, this space is unfortunately not ADA compliant - stairs are unavoidable when accessing the space.
The Westside neighborhood of Kansas City is an eclectic mix of old and new, with homes built at the turn of the 20th century and new architecturally funky homes built in the last 10 years there is a great mix of art and culture all around. The neighborhood is known for the unbeatable views of downtown Kansas City and easy access to all of the city's greatest spots. Authentic Mexican restaurants, Roasterie Coffee and Boulevard Brewery pepper the South side and unique shops and farm to table restaurants define the north end.
  • the apartment was clean and the netflix works! the hosts were willing to be around if we needed anything but they had it all covered!

  • Exactly as advertised and perfect for a night at Sprint Center concert! Cool neighborhood as well. Very nice hosts

    Bill2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • One of my primary reasons for selecting this space was location. Personally, I prefer to avoid the headaches associated with dealing with an automobile when travelling. For someone that is of a similar mindset, this location works out well. The space is somewhat close proximity to Kansas City's Union Station. Also, the new streetcar downtown helps get one from Union Station to a cross street that leads to this space. It is a bit of a an uphill walk to the neighborhood where this space is at, but do'able for someone that has a decent fitness level. As an aside, Kansas City has their act together when it comes to transportation options. Note that I am comparing it to Saint Louis, MO with my assessment. Regarding the space, this is one of the cleaner AirBnB spaces I have stayed at throughout my experience with the service. It helps that the space appears to be a recent remodel. One more point about the location, the neighborhood is quiet and I enjoyed walking through it around 7pm in the evening on my way to the Midland Theater. I did end up taking an Uber later that evening to get back home. This was primarily because I was tired. Otherwise, I think it would have been perfectly safe to make my way home on foot. For anyone considering this space for their trip to Kansas City with travel preferences similar to mine, I certainly recommend this space for your travel.

    Kurt2017-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very nice and clean, a lot of little extra touches that made it a great place to stay! If we come back to Kansas City we will try to stay here again! Really fantastic!

  • I really enjoyed staying here for a quick overnight trip, but would’ve been perfect for a longer stay as well! I loved that the space was nice and cozy when it was so cold outside. Plus, the Christmas tree was such a cute thoughtful touch! Would highly recommend!

  • Quaint, separated space with a great little balcony for a wonderful city view. It was exactly as described by the hosts. I would bring DVDs if you plan on staying in but they do have a couple good vhs collections (Star Wars and Kubrick movies). We'd definitely stay here again.

  • The space is very cute! The location isn’t too far from downtown and a cheap Uber ride away. Walking distance there are some good restaurants. There could be better communication between the hosts themselves and my towel smelled like cat pee. The bed is also not big enough if you are taller than 5’11.

  • Fantastic AirB&B! So close to so many fun places and such good food! Easy entry and exit, as well as private. We loved their two cats! Very friendly. We will definitely be back at some point!

  • Great space - beautiful flat in a very nice area. I was there for a quick stay on a cross-country journey, and Lauren and Jeremiah couldn't have been more accommodating, quick to respond to requests, and very kind. Even a local KC beer was waiting for me in the fridge upon my arrival. The space is beautiful and clean, and the back porch was really wonderful for a quick, late-night relaxing chill before I shoved off early the next morning for the East Coast. Highly recommend and only wish I could have stayed longer to both enjoy KC and this beautiful flat. Highly recommend and hope I have the chance to revisit the city and their space one day soon.

    Heidi2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • The neighborhood was perfect for us. Walkable to the Convention Center area and had a few great neighborhood businesses to wind down after long days downtown. Lauren and Jeremiah stayed in contact and had a great home.

    Jenni2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place is great! I highly recommend it!

    Cora2018-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren and Jeremiah's place is located in a beautiful neighborhood of fixed up classic older brick homes. The apartment was spacious and with lots of light. The decor is eclectic and felt very homey. The area has lots of artists, great restaurants (Westside Local and Blue Bird Cafe were our favorites) You can look at the city lights from the back balcony. It is near a freeway but that was not an issue for us because you can't hear it when you are inside. We were able to walk to the free trolley to visit downtown KC, Union Station and the WWI museum. We would definitely stay here again.

    Renais2018-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Flexible and worked with my schedule

    Bailey2017-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • The place had a cool vibe and a great location!! So close to everything, and the restaurants in the neighborhood have become a KC staple for us. Lauren and Jeremiah were very nice, and responsive! Loved the deck of cards made available, the first thing we did was play a game of blackjack. Would totally stay again!

    Paige2018-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was very close to the place where we were in meeting for six full days. Lauren and Jeremiah very very helpful with info for us regarding Vegan restaurants and grocery shopping and even got a blender for us to make our "Green Drinks"! The place is cozy, quaint, and has an impressive view of downtown KC, which is very convenient and easy to get to. Lots goes on Downtown! We were surprised not to have a full kitchen, but made do rather well, since we ate out for most of our time there. Overall we were quite pleased. Certainly felt safe in the neighborhood, as they assured us we would. Street parking was not a problem. Thanks!

    John2018-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • When staying here, be aware that they go to bed at 10:30 and will NOT answer phone calls, texts, or knocks on the door. We tried to get in the door at midnight, and the electronic keypad had a low battery (it gave us an error message that we have on video) and it would not accept the code. We tried several times to get in and then tried to call and text the hosts, and pound on the door. No answer. After being stranded outside for over half an hour, for some reason the keypad let us in. We also thought the completely dark steps right in front of the sidewalk leading up to the house were a safety issue, since it was absolutely pitch dark and we could not see a thing; one of us tripped in the dark and fell. We really felt the hosts should be accessible for any problems we might have, and they absolutely weren't. They did, however, send us a rude text after we finally got in and they said they heard us make noise upstairs, so "we must have made it in". When we complained about their unresponsiveness, they said they were "not a bed and breakfast". They never apologized for the inconvenience. On the upside, they did leave two beers in the refrigerator for us (which we didn't drink) and the house has great potential. But it needs a lot of work; in fact, the walls of the extra bedroom had been scraped but not yet repainted, the windowsill on the bathroom had peeling paint, and one of the windows had cobwebs in it. But the main reason we would not stay here again is because of the hosts non-communication when we needed help from them getting in, and then the total rudeness and lack of caring after we did get in. Not a good way to run a business.

A gorgeous vintage apartment with new appliances, full kitchen, high speed internet & remodeled bath. Two striking outdoor spaces with amazing city views. Ideally situated in downtown Kansas City between the historic West Side and Crossroads Arts District. Walking distance to the Convention Center, Kauffman, restaurants, music, bars, light rail line and lots more. Book this highly-reviewed loft now! Now available for stays over 30 days. See note below and contact me for details!
You'll be staying in a lovingly restored third-floor loft apartment with a spacious living/dining room, full kitchen, gorgeous bedroom and newly remodeled bath. The bedroom features a private walk-out porch in the treetops and the enormous full-size deck off the kitchen serves up stunning downtown views.
You likely already know. But if not: You'll be in the heart of downtown Kansas City, which is enjoying an urban renaissance reflected in painting and music and dance and architecture, yes, but also in local breweries, bistros, cocktails and coffee. It's a fun time to be here and you'll be in the middle of it. You'll be within walking distance to everything (slight exaggeration, but not a big one). Two blocks from the Kauffman Performing Arts Center. Dozens of galleries, bars and restaurants around the corner. Under a mile to Liberty Memorial, Crown Center, Union Station, the Sprint Center, the College Basketball Experience, and the Power and Light District. If you're looking for a home base for your downtown Kansas City adventure, this is it. Check out the Guidebook/Map for some of my favorite local gems. If you're interested, I also have a couple unlisted favorites I like to recommend. Just So You Know... Depending on the route you take to arrive, your first impression of my neighborhood may not be awesome (a couple guests have mentioned this)—the city has some delayed maintenance to do on a highway ramp and several sidewalks, and there are a couple ugly buildings slated for redevelopment. But have no fear! This area is highly sought after and once you arrive, you'll see why (guests mention this too)—your loft is right in the middle of KC's downtown renaissance. So no worries.
  • You can tell that AJ is an experienced host. Great communication before my arrival and very easy check-in. I chose the location because it is close to my daughter's business. I enjoyed walking throughout the Crossroads Arts District. The Loft is spacious and comfortable and the two decks are a great bonus!

    Maureen2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Aj apartment was very nice. We rested pretty well and loved the place. Beautiful decoration, very clean and convenient. We left our car outside the building full of luggages and had not problems at all. We got there after 10:00 pm and didn't meet Aj but he provided us with all the information needed and even recommended us a great place to get food from. Communication was not a problem with him.

  • This was a great spot to stay in. The view from the back balcony was perfect. We were within walking distance to so many bars, and restaurants. It was surprisingly quiet inside considering how close it is to downtown. We would stay here again.

  • AJ's place is really cool and in a great area in Downtown KC. We always felt safe there, the kitchen and bathroom were clean, well-equipped, everything was working properly, there was more than enough parking space. 2 balconies, including a large one with air hockey overlooking downtown! Great place!

  • AJ's place is an adorable loft in the most convenient part of down town. $5-$7 uber ride to anywhere in the down town area. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, and a coffee shop. Extremely clean and amazing views. Next time I am in KC I will definitely be staying at AJ's.

  • Stephen’s place was perfect for our visit to Kansas City. The location is perfect—close to downtown and the freeway but very quiet. It was very cute and comfortable. I would definitely come back the next time I’m in Kansas City.

Beautiful, naturally lit private bedroom on the top floor of a historic Kansas City Brownstone. Built in 1910, this apartment is located in one of the most up and coming neighborhoods in Kansas City- the Crossroads District. Across the street from the internationally renowned Kauffman Performing Arts Center, catch a show, or just sit on the Arts Center facing shared balcony and take in the sights of Kansas City Downtown. This 3rd floor apartment does not have an elevator, so exercise is included
Our home has a private bedroom in a unique and inviting downtown building. A quick hop up the stairs and you will find us on the top floor enjoying the views. Huge windows provide ideal lighting for those instagram-perfect vacation pictures. Street parking available for free, or garage parking available across the street, you'll be able to park and leave your vehicle as this place is located within walking distance of most everything you will need.
Being one of the hottest areas in Kansas City, the Crossroads district has a little bit of everything. Walk and buy fresh made bread, local Kansas City souvenirs, or get a cup of coffee at one of the many near coffee shops. Also right near by are two excellent vegan and vegetarian restaurants, or if you prefer the other end of the spectrum, Town Topic is just across the street as a historic Kansas City diner that has been slinging burgers since 1937, though they're no longer 5 cents. The Crossroads district has a bar for everyone. If you're looking for a casual night out, there are two different arcade bars just a few blocks away, or if you're looking for something a little more upscale, I can make many recommendations that are just as close based on what you have in mind.
  • Super clean, had a wonderful time

    Danny2019-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This Private room was very comfortable and clean. The hostess was very friendly and new the area very well so she gave us some good tips. The location was very close to down town and we found it very easily.

  • Rachel’s place is the perfect place to stay if you are attending a conference at the Kansas City Convention Centre in downtown Kansas City. It is easy walking distance to some lovely restaurants and coffee shops. It is also very close to the Kaufman Performing Arts Center, the Folly and other places of entertainment. We met Rachel several times and she was very generous with ideas about places to eat and things to do. If we needed to contact her by email, she was quick to respond. Check in was very easy. I would highly recommend Rachel’s place and would certainly stay there again.

    Susan2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel’s place is great, it is in a convenient location and was very clean. WiFi wasn’t functioning during our stay which was a bit of an inconvenience. Overall, I had a great stay and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. I’d highly recommend Rachel for your next KC trip.

    Craig2018-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • At the time we visited, Rachel was still in the process of moving in, so it wasn't fully decorated, etc., BUT our room was clean and well furnished, Rachel was a wonderful host, and her proximity to KC's Power and Light District is hard to beat (5 mins by Uber, since we didn't want to fight traffic and worry about parking). We'd definitely return.

    Larry2018-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel’s place was absolutely wonderful! Amazing location and the apartment was very welcoming and spacious! Rachel was a fabulous host and very flexible and accommodating!

We're Jana & Drew- we love KC, traveling, and meeting new people! A quick "THANK YOU" to the AirBnB community: This home has been opened up to guests for just over a year now, and we've been overwhelmed with the support we've received from you guys, the interest in our city, and the awesome people we've met. We love that we get to invest in our community by restoring an old property and that we get to shake hands with cool people we would not have met otherwise. Thanks guys!
We LOVE hosting. We want to know if you have questions because we want to help and earnestly hope that your stay will be comfortable and memorable. Creating a space where fellow adventurers feel at home is our dream. What's the Brew Haus like? Well it's cozy and old fashioned! We're renovating as time allows, but we promise to keep the power tools out of sight. The common areas are clean and cozy- the kitchen, bathroom, and three bedrooms have all had a good updating. The living and dining rooms are functional, if quirky. The Roku- equipped TV is a perfect companion to the big leather couch. The house is over 100 years old and shows its age. Read on if you're an adventurous traveler! We're on a cul-de-sac with street parking available. One spot directly in front of the house is usually free. Additional street parking is available in the area, but please make sure not to block access to the local businesses (no parking in front of gates or driveways). As you may notice in the photo, the front door is accessed by a set of stairs. There's a small front yard and a larger, paved backyard. Both are fenced and good for pets! The Brew Haus has been updated with central heat and cooling. There's a washing machine and a little dryer in the basement. Each bedroom has a new full bed with a SUPER comfy mattress that sleeps two people. The kitchen is stocked with essential cooking utensils. There's a fridge and gas oven as well as basic pots, pans, spoons, spatulas, salt & pepper, et cetera. There will always be coffee and a way to make it.
We're one block from Kansas City's best known coffee shop and just around the corner from 28 Event Space! The immediate neighborhood is old and quirky like the house! It's part industrial, part residential- we're nestled in among some industrial businesses and a couple of awesome neighbors. Please note, one guest has mentioned noise from the nightclub down the street. A ten minute walk gets you to Boulevard Brewing Beer Hall and a KC B-Cycle station. Travelers can jump on the street car at Union Station (1.2 miles from home), tour through downtown KCMO, and visit the River Market. The Crossroads art district is a five minute drive away. There you can check out Up-Down (our favorite arcade bar) and countless local shops!
  • We had a great stay at the Brew Haus. Like it says in the listing, it's an old house, but everything was clean and Jana has it decorated perfectly. We felt right at home. There were some bagels, eggs, beers, etc in the fridge for us when we arrived, which was a nice touch and much appreciated. The house is in a good location and ended up being pretty close to everywhere we went during our visit. Check out the aptly named Margaritas mexican restaurant that's within walking distance of the house. Good food and delicous, strong maragritas!

  • Better than described! Spot was cozy and convenient. Host was more than accommodating. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

    Ar'Neka2018-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and value. This place had lots of thoughtful touches including a stocked fridge, and it was very cool to read the notes hanging in the kitchen from others who have stayed there.

    Caitlin2019-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a quick stay in KC! Jana and Drew are great hosts! The description is accurate; the outside appearance is a smidge rough but the inside is cute and eclectic and homey.

    Megan2018-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place felt like home away from home after a long day on the road. Great beer and great coffee and all complimentary! You couldn't ask for more.

    Alex2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Brew Haus was awesome. Such a cozy place with lots of character. We were able to make ourselves right at home. We are making a big move from Colorado to North Carolina, so this was a good place to stay the night after a long drive. The description and pictures are very accurate. I'm definitely happy with the price of the place considering how comfortable it was. Check in/out was a breeze! We needed an Airbnb that was flexible and this one was perfect. Thank you Jana!

    Christina2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jana’s place was comfortable and had everything we needed. She even provided food and local brewed beers for us in the fridge which was a great touch! We weren’t sure about the neighbourhood at first but it was fairly quiet at night and seemed safe.

  • Didn't get to meet Devon because our schedules didn't coincide, but she was extremely helpful and friendly over the phone! We enjoyed her place as it was very comfortable and easy to feel right at home. We appreciated the food that was available because we had a bunch of issues with our car rental. Anyway, her loft is located in a cool part of town. The library nearby is pretty amazing and the restaurants in the neighborhood are great. We just walked around downtown until we decided on a place to eat. Thanks Devon it was a great experience!

    Austin2012-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Devon and her place were fantastic! Check-in was a breeze. Even though we arrived quite late, Devon buzzed us in without a hitch and was as flexible as can be. Her apartment was fabulous--clean, comfortable, and conveniently-located in the heart of downtown. Devon had everything we'd ever want available to us and was so kind to offer us access to anything in her kitchen cupboards. Stay here! You won't be disappointed! We met Devon briefly the next morning, and she was absolutely delightful. Hope to return!

A gorgeous vintage apartment with a craft kitchen/bar, two queen beds, remodeled bath and two striking outdoor spaces with amazing city views . High-speed internet, smart tv. Ideally situated in downtown Kansas City between the historic West Side and Crossroads Arts District. Walking distance to the Convention Center, Kauffman, restaurants, music, bars, light rail line and more. Book this highly-reviewed loft now! Now available for stays over 30 days! See note below and contact me for details.
You'll be staying in a lovingly restored third-floor loft apartment with a living/dining room, full kitchen/bar, gorgeous bedrooms and newly remodeled bath. The front bedroom features a private walk-out porch near the skyline and the enormous full-size deck off the kitchen serves up truly stunning downtown views. I'm a student of the local craft cocktail scene, and the kitchen reflects that, with a bar-height counter, an array of glassware and all the tools you'll need to create a Manhattan or Mojito if the mood strikes you.
You likely already know. But if not: You'll be in the heart of downtown Kansas City, which is enjoying an urban renaissance reflected in painting and music and dance and architecture, yes, but also in local breweries, bistros, cocktails and coffee. It's a fun time to be here and you'll be in the middle of it all. You'll be within walking distance to everything (slight exaggeration, but not a large one). Two blocks from the Kauffman Performing Arts Center. Dozens of galleries, bars and restaurants around the corner. A half mile from Liberty Memorial, Crown Center, Union Station. Under a mile to the Sprint Center, the College Basketball Experience, and the Power and Light District.
  • Exactly as described and a great spot. A little loud with more train and road noise than expected but not too much as to deter your booking. AJ was also a fantastic and responsive host. Highly recommend.

  • It was our first time staying in Kansas City and we felt really lucky to have found this spot. Beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful and unique touches. In a great neighborhood that was central to lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and museums. Parking was a cinch. Definitely plan on staying here again during our next visit!

  • The flat was exactly what we expected. I was glad for the forewarning about the neighborhood or I would have been apprehensive. It's within walking distance of lots of art galleries, restaurants and brew pubs.

  • AJ was great at responding to my messages. He even let us check in early and leave our bags for a few hours after we checked out! The view from the back porch is amazing! Very close to restaurants and shopping. Great little juice bar right down the street! And very easy walk to the power and ligh district. Easy walk to the world war 1 museum as well!

    Hanna2017-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable and convenient. Super close to so many cool things to do in KC. Especially if you are like us, we like to eat and drink our way through wherever we go. The weather was wet and cold for our stay, which was unfortunate because it would have been nice to sit on the deck and enjoy the incredible view. I always have anxiety about parking when I am anywhere near downtown...not an issue here. Parking was easy and plentiful, right outside the building. Clean, cozy, convenient.

Right off I-70, easy access everywhere in town. 20 minutes away from MCI airport. This house is strictly used for Airbnb guests, so you'll have the whole place to yourself. Except the basement, there's nothing cool down there so we just keep it locked. There is a detached garage accessible from the back alley, but it's a tight squeeze back there so we don't really recommend it. But for an extended stay, with a smaller vehicle, it could come in handy. The house is nearly a century old, and in great shape! Beautiful hardwood floors, and lots of new features including new cool-gel infused memory foam queen beds; one medium and one medium-firm, each in a private bedroom. The house is in an older neighborhood of small houses in downtown Kansas City Kansas known as Strawberry Hill - a historical melting pot area that got it's name from the small houses built so close to each other, on a hill overlooking downtown KCMO. Cool area, right off the highway, pretty quick access to anywhere in the KC metro area.

A lovely apartment in a renovated brownstone with large, airy windows looking out to a beautiful green space right in the heart of the city. Note: We recently purchased this home. The previous owners were Super Hosts and received 129 reviews with an average 5-star rating. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/907001
This lovely apartment in a renovated brownstone boasts beautiful, wooded scenery, right in the heart of the city. Located in Kansas City's coveted and historic Westside neighborhood, the apartment is within walking distance to downtown Kansas City, the Kansas City Convention Center/Bartle Hall, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Crossroads Arts District, Sprint Center, Power and Light entertainment district, and more. Just a half block from great restaurants, cool coffee shops, a mini grocery store, and a bus stop. Remodeling was recently completed on this 900-square foot, one-bedroom, one bath apartment that occupies the entire first floor of an historic 1889 brownstone building, with a private entrance and private back patio. (Our home occupies the top two floors of the building.) The apartment is equipped with high-speed Google Fiber WiFi; separate living room with comfortable sofa, reading nook, and large television; kitchen fully stocked with dishes and silverware, wine glasses, bottle openers, a Keurig one-cup coffee maker, a mini refrigerator, and a microwave (no oven/range). Tea, coffee, bottled water, and granola bars are stocked for your stay. Soft, fresh linens and plenty of fluffy towels are provided, along with extras should you need them. The bathroom is stocked with soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and body lotions, as well as a hair dryer and other necessities. The bedroom, with a queen-sized bed, opens to a private patio with seating and a view of the natural surroundings. The ceiling fan and light are operated by remote control, so you don't need to get up to turn the lights out. Room darkening curtains keep the room dark and cool for those who wish to sleep in. A second queen-sized EZ Bed is available for set-up in the living room for 3 guests. The apartment is thoroughly cleaned between guest stays. PLEASE NOTE: Although the apartment is somewhat insulated from the sounds of our home above, we have two dogs.
The Westside is a historically diverse area, offering local goods, fantastic farm-to-table restaurants, and an eclectic environment. The Crossroads Arts District is a short walk away, as is the Convention Center and the impressive architecture of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Take a short walk down the hill to SW Boulevard for authentic Mexican food. Our 3-story Brownstone has a lower-level apartment. It is spacious and light filled. Best suited for solo travelers or couples.
  • Thrilled with our stay! The apartment was cozy and a wonderful place to spend a weekend. There was incredible attention to detail and thoughtful touches. The fridge had water and local craft beers. The bathroom was stocked with anything we could need. Would love to stay again when we go back to KC!

  • Our first visit to KC couldn't have been better and a lot of that was due to Virginia's amazing space. It is a beautiful historical home with tons of character. The pictures don't do it justice. Everything you could need is provided and there were so many personal touches, such as the fridge having some samples of local beer. Loved that! Virginia was also a great host and quick communicator, letting us check in early on the fly. You are one bridge away from downtown so we were never far from anything. I would definitely stay here again and you should, too!

  • Virginia’s place was absolutely perfect!! It was THE BEST part about our stay in Kansas City during a very cold weekend! It is so homey, warm, and the bed is soo comfortable! We had plenty of coffee, some local beer in the fridge and anything that you needed! She also made sure the steps were shoveled!! One of my favorite Airbnb’s.

    Brian2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot next to great restaurants and bars. Virginia was an excellent, hospitable host!

    Ryan2018-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia’s apartment is truly excellent - our best AirBnb experience to date. The pictures don’t do it justice - it’s a big, bright, nicely furnished and a spotlessly clean place to stay. There are so many nice touches - from the well-equipped kitchen (with a great tea/coffee selection, snacks, and beer in the fridge), to the various brochures and recommendations for things to do, to the toiletries - everything’s been thought of. The location was also perfect. It’s a quick walk to downtown (20 minutes or less walking, 5 minutes driving) and the surrounding neighborhood has some nice shops/restaurants. Virginia was also extremely responsive. Would give six stars if we could!

    Katherine2018-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place was amazing. Close to everything you’d want to see and perfect for a night in.

    Caleb2018-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place. It's close to most everything in KC and the hosts leave everything you could want and more for their guests. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This apartment is in a completely renovated church built in 1927. The Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church, or Greenwood as we call it, is located in the historic Westside neighborhood of Kansas City MO. Greenwood is only a 5 minute walk from several restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops. It is also located just a 5 min drive from the Crossroads district and I-70 and I-35.
  • I don’t know if I can stay anywhere else in town, now! The space is well-designed and super neat. I loved being so close to the Arts District. Walking distance to plenty of my favorite stops and a quick drive to many of my others. Yet, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. I had plenty of space to prepare for my presentations and a super comfy bed to sleep in after the day was done. The price was a steal, tbh. I’ve already recommended this place to a friend, and would love to come back!

    Sarah2018-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying in Jamie’s stylish apartment. The apartment is located in a very calm environment while also being pretty close to downtown and a live district of Kansas City called Power and Light. Jamie was so helpful before arriving there and during check-in process.

    Cem2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this apartment for a bachelor party. This place was in the perfect location for such an event. It was within walking distance to crossroads and Power and Light. The apartment itself was very nice and we always felt safe in this location.

    Travis2018-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to stay! Jamie met us and provided great advice on local attractions and activities. The space really changed our trip. You are walking distance to food, coffee, and shops - and a 5-10 dollar uber from anything in the arts district or power and lights district (downtown.) The home is also super secure, yet easy to come and go. There are two keypad deadbolts between your belongings and the rest of the world, which for a videographer with expensive gear like myself is great peace of mind. 10 out of 10!

    Brett2018-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very roomy and close to almost everything Kansas city has to offer. I never actually met Jamie but he was very helpful for the most part.

    Haley2018-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great unique place with plenty of space, I would definitely stay here again.

Rumored to have been the site where Al Capone met Louis Armstrong during Prohibition, this loft has long since been updated and restored. Now it's simply the ideal launch pad for your downtown adventures. This lovingly restored vintage loft has a full kitchen, remodeled bath and an embarrassment of outdoor space with amazing downtown views. Walking distance to the Convention Center, Kauffman, Crossroads Arts District, Crown Center, restaurants, music, bars, light rail line and lots more.
You'll be staying in a lovingly restored loft that takes up the entire first floor of a historic brick building. Ideal for business trips, family vacations, events, or friends traveling together. The enormous 1600 square foot space includes a living/dining room, fully-equipped kitchen, gorgeous bedrooms and newly remodeled bath. The open living area and front bedroom feature walk-out porches. The enormous full-size deck off the kitchen/back bedroom overlooks the Crossroads District. You'll also find two functional, high-caliber wood stoves (see "Other Things" below). They require a little extra care to operate.
You likely already know. But if not: You'll be in the heart of downtown Kansas City, which is enjoying an urban renaissance reflected in painting and music and dance and architecture, and also in local breweries, bistros, cocktails and coffee.
  • Great clean place. It's very rustic and updated. Close to down town and restaurants.

    Amber2017-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • AJ's clearly put his heart into renovating this space. It's a very comfortable home away from home. One of the two bedrooms has minimal sound insulation between it and the unit above, but this has not been an issue for us on the two times we've stayed here. We plan to return!

    Cindy2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • AJ provided clear, detailed descriptions and instructions. Parking was easy and safe.

    Molly2016-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house was gorgeous. I would totally stay here again. Aj is awesome at communicating and is very easy to talk to.

    Timothy2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Aj seriously has an amazing gem here! One of the best places o have ever stayed in and the most comfortable environment. It is more than I even expected. Very modern with a nice homelike feel. We did not want to leave at all. Thank you for the great experience. People please check this place out!

    Corbin2016-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience - awesome spot, quiet, spacious, and great coffee provided by host. Would stay again.

    Dylan2016-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • AJ was easy to communicate with: all questions were promptly answered. The loft is very spacious: kitchen, large dining and living area's, plus two very spacious bedrooms with their own private living area's. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Only downside: the house is noisy. When the upstairs tenants simply walk around you will hear it, and it woke us up a few times in the middle of the night (because of the floor/ceiling; the tenants themselves were very considerate). The wifi is insanely fast: I measured 560 mbit over wifi (Google Fiber). Location is great: less than 10 minutes from the convention center and 15 minutes from the Power & Light district (on foot). Down the street there is Sylvia's Deli (I recommend the breakfast burrito) and around the corner there are plenty of places to eat (including Town Topic, an authentic burger place that's open 24/7: best fastfood burgers I've ever had). Would stay here again!

    Roy2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • AJ’s place is the perfect spot to stay if you want to be in downtown KC. Close enough to walk to the arts district and just a short Uber drive to Power and Lights District/ Sprint Center. The place is very stylish and updated with modern touches that really make the stay memorable. The bathroom in particular was a stand out. Both bedrooms are huge, with plenty of space for everyone to lounge around and enjoy.

Greenwood is the second floor of a renovated church. Featured in The New York Times, Alive, Spaces, and published in The Big Art Book- Now With Women, Greenwood Social Hall is my studio, my home, and a space for small private concerts. It has a beautiful kitchen, tuned concert piano, private art collection, generous living space, a shared full and partial bathroom. Located in the Westside neighborhood and walking distance to the Crossroads Arts District. Near downtown and the convention center.
The main space is my working art studio and curated private collection. It can be pristine or cluttered depending on whatever project I'm working on at the time of your stay. Because the main living space is a living art studio, the photos in this listing may not directly reflect the furniture layout or art content at the time of your visit. Part of the excitement of visiting this unique space is the ever changing environment and anticipation of new art pieces! Private bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen are always clean but you may encounter glitter or random pigment during your stay. The private bedroom is located just off the studio space on the main floor, close to the kitchen and half bath. Full-bath is located upstairs. Kitchen and living areas are shared. *It is important to note that stairs are required to access all areas of the home. I teach drawing from the model a few Mondays a month, so if you are staying with me at that time, you may encounter an art class in the main art studio. For a small fee, you’re welcome to join in the session and be an artist for a day! Follow me, Peregrine Honig and greenwood_social_hall on Instagram and Facebook for updates and regional events. I am a fine artist with work in The Whitney Museum of American Art, Harvard, Yale, The New York Public and The Chicago Art Institute. I am available for classes and workshops with a little planning. Work and garments in my space are a compilation of my private collection - they are insured and most pieces are available for purchase.
Located in the Westside neighborhood of Kansas City, the area offers lots of greenery, charming homes, great food and is central to just about anywhere you may need to be in Kansas City! Within walking distance are many great eateries inclduding: Goat Hill Coffee, Los Alamos Market, Westside Local, The Bluebird Cafe, Fervere-a bakery and Fox and Pearl. Downtown (including the Convention Center) and the Crossroads Arts District are seven short blocks or a five minute Lyft. Reach I-35 and I-70 within 2 minutes. Amtrak is a 6 minute drive. Country Club Plaza is a 10 minute drive.

    • Walk Score 80 (most errands accomplished on foot) • Fully equipped + stocked kitchen • Extremely safe neighborhood • Plenty of free parking on the street in front of the condo • Onsite washer + dryer • 1 min drive to downtown Kansas City • In the Westside neighborhood • 0.5 mile to Convention Center • Very close to Power and Light District
→ This condominium is on the first floor with its own private entrance → Living room has a queen sized sofa bed to accommodate 2 people
Here are my personal recommendations: airbnb.com/rooms/21870205/guidebook The Westside neighborhood is very small (less than 1 square mile) but it is very popular since there are several local gems, from local wares to restaurants defining farm-to-table. It is very safe, quiet, but very close to Kansas City downtown without bustling noises and traffic. The Westside shines when it comes to locally-sourced, creative, and delicious eateries. The cache of food offerings gathered around 17th and Summit, from burgers and cocktails at The Westside Local, to Blue Bird Bistro’s unpretentious but delicate menu, are rounded out by FüD, Novel and Chez Elle Creperie.
  • Great location in an eclectic, fun neighborhood! Anchalee is very responsive, and left fun touches during our stay! Her place lives up to the photos and description posted. While out of her control, the upstairs neighbor is very heavy footed and loud at times.

    Christa2018-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first stay at an Airbnb. We had a great time at Anchalee’s place. The place is very clean, comfortable and perfectly sized for the four of us. The place was equipped with everything you could need down to laundry detergent. Located within a few miles from the Downtown Kansas City Sprint Center and Power and Light district. I would definitely recommend it to others.

My condo is in a very popular, nice, safe, and historical part of downtown. The buildings in my complex are row house style, so the front door entry is just off of street- not typical condo or apartment style with necessary elevator or stair use. The unit itself has just been remodeled and updated to a modern, classy look. Bedroom is large in size and bathroom has a standard sized shower. Use of the kitchen and washer and dryer is available as well. If you have any questions, please message!
Private bedroom and private bathroom. All other spaces are shared.
My condo is within walking distance (2-5 blocks) of many restaurant and bar options and also 4 blocks to the street car line that can take you to many areas of downtown. Streets are safe and clean and the architecture is beautiful, so walking places should be pleasureful!
  • Very nice local, super clean place and very nice young professional's that keep normal hours. It was great for me cuz I work from home a good deal and during the day it was super quiet and I felt like I had my own place. Lily shared some of her mom's cooking and I made a nice Cajun soup dish with some awful weather we had. Chill people recommend em highly

    Chris2019-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lily had the place tidy and ready for us. She was quick with responding to any questions we had. It was a wonderful experience. My wife loved bonding with her cat as well.

  • Beautiful view of downtown and very close to everything (including the street car). Wonderful amenities and had everything we needed and so much more. This place had it all - stylish apartment, comprehensive amenities, perfect location, and excellent host. We ate out a lot while in KC but my favorite place was The Phoenix - which is immediately next door to Alan's place. The Saturday Jazz brunch was the best part of our trip. We will definitely be staying here again!

    Abby2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Alan’s place was fantastic. Well appointed (lots of details that not even the swankiest of hotels provide) and perfectly located (live jazz downstairs), it served as a perfect “home base” for a memorable weekend. Alan was incredibly organized and communicated very clearly and promptly. We’ll be back, and won’t hesitate to recommend this listing to any of our friends and family!

    Tim2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Loft was exactly as advertised. Such a cute space and just what we were looking for during our quick stay in Downtown KC! A very short uber to the Sprint Center and Power & Lights district. Place was very clean, in a great downtown location and smooth check-in and access. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

    Rachel2017-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place is a 10-15 minute straight walk away from the convention center with a lovely view and easy access to both the city rail and local restaurants. It is a lovely little studio and Alan is a wonderful host!

    Colin2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • The best most honest and accurate description of an AirBnB ever! Tons of character and charm. Super clean and cozy. Would not stay at any other in KC and hope to use it again!

    Cody2018-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Alan's place is lovely! I had a quick trip, but I was very thankful for its wonderful location to the River Market and other areas of interest. Alan is communicative and thoughtful and was very wonderful to help me with my complex check-in and out times. If I am ever to return to Kansas City, I will most definitely be staying here again if possible! Highly recommend.

    Dana2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Pictures don’t do it justice. I loved this place so much. So clean and comfortable. So stylish. I’ll always try to stay here when I come though!

1 BR/ 1BA LOFT -Building is registered with the National Historic Registry. Beautiful old architectural details preserved with modern conveniences. Located in the heart of downtown KC- blocks from Convention Center, Sprint Center, Power & Light District & everything downtown has to offer! Loft is brand new- all stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer in each unit, all new electrical, AC and plumbing. You will have access to gym and rooftop deck with amazing views of downtown!
Interior of building has been completely overhauled with new electrical, plumbing, wiring, ac/heating and all the modern conveniences at the same time historic architectural details left in place! Exposed brick walls, lots of natural light, hardwood floors, beadboard ceilings etc.
Loft is situated a few blocks from Convention Center/Bartle Hall, Power & Light District, Sprint Center and River Market. The KC Streetcar that is free to ride is a short walk and will take you to River Market, Union Station, Crown Center with stops along downtown. 9 miles from Arrowhead Stadium and KC Royals Stadium.
  • Really great location for the convention center and other parts of downtown Kansas City. I would stay here again, if I need to go to the convention center area daily. It’s a ware house turned loft space, one bedroom executive apartments being rented short term. This fit what I was looking for. If you are looking to get to know the city from a locals perspective, this won’t work. A heads up that not many people live or stay around this part of downtown. It seems like the power and light district or the city market area have more people at night. I saw no one at night in this immediate area. Overall, it was a great experience for me. I really liked the kitchen and the brick wall exposure.

    Rachel2018-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Really neat loft that was spotlessly clean. I would stay at Olivia’s place any time.

    Jessica2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Olivia was very responsive, the place was great. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting part of the KC city scene.

    Gabe2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • The loft (#203) is on the 2nd floor of a remodeled historic building. It’s got high ceilings and several large south-facing windows for plenty of daylight in living room and bedroom. Big kitchen with all the amenities a vacationer business traveler (short-term or extended stay) could ever want. Tasteful decor, homey touches. Down the hall is a well-equipped gym and an outdoor deck. This Airbnb was a PERFECT location for my Central KC work travel needs, and Olivia is a great/fast/friendly communicator. Would gladly return & recommend!

    Brian2018-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Olivia's place is wonderful! I was attending a 5 day conference in Kansas City and the place had everything I needed to relax after 12+ hours of events. The full kitchen was great for whipping up breakfasts and the snacks she left were a nice touch. I was even capable of doing my laundry at the apartment before flying back home to California. The convention center is only 2 blocks away so it's perfect for any business traveler.

    Hugo2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter & I stayed in Olivia’s condo for a Wed-Sun stay, in town for a ballet event. Olivia was so kind and helpful from pre-booking through departure, very easy to communicate with and get in contact with. The condo was amazing! Clean, crisp, colorful, trendy, bright, comfortable, safe. It’s the nicest AirBnb I have stayed in. It was a perfect location for us. Our friends stayed next door at another condo Olivia has & they enjoyed their stay just as much as we did. Things I wasn’t expecting but was fine with...it got bright in the bedroom & you could easily hear traffic weekday mornings & Friday/Saturday nights were quite loud due to local area bars; neither bothered me, but if you’re a light sleeper still stay here, just bring a facemask and earplugs. If we ever return to KC, we will stay here again, for sure!

    Tuesday2018-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Really love staying in this space! It was relaxing and homey, and in a wonderful location. Would definitely want to stay here again on another trip to KC!

  • This was our first experience with Airbnb and this loft unit set the bar high for future trips. The design/decor of the living space was excellent - updated and presented a fun vibe. The whole unit was extremely clean and the location was perfect. We hope to come visit again!

This wonderful updated single family home home is perfect for business travelers, couples, or families. You'll find a picturesque view of downtown from your front porch, which is both gorgeous and revealing of this home's proximity to everything KC has to offer. We have done everything we can think of to try to make this a place where you will feel at home and welcomed, so that you can enjoy your time in KC, whether for business or pleasure.
We absolutely love this neighborhood! You can experience the hub of two Kansas City drink institutions within steps of this home. Boulevard Brewery is less than one block from the home, with tours offered daily, and a fantastic beer hall. The Roasterie, Kansas City's premier coffee roaster, is 2 1/2 blocks from the home. They also offer tours daily, with two Roasterie Cafes on site, one that is drive-through only. We also love our taco shops and Taquerias along Southwest Boulevard (only 3 blocks away). Our favorite is Ricos Tacos Lupe (don't judge a book by its cover on this one!).
  • Stylish and cozy, and Paul is an excellent communicator! I knew that it was important to him that we enjoyed our stay and were comfortable.

A huge, beautiful vintage apartment with a craft kitchen/bar, four queen beds, newly remodeled bath and three striking outdoor spaces with amazing city views. High speed internet, smart tv. Ideally situated in downtown Kansas City between the West Side and Crossroads Arts District. Walking distance to the Convention Center, Kauffman, restaurants, music, bars, light rail line and more. Minutes from local hospitals. Now available for stays of 30+ days! See note below & contact me for details.
You'll be staying in a lovingly restored loft that takes up the entire second floor of a historic brick building. Ideal for corporate trips, family vacations, or friends traveling together. Enormous at over 1600 feet, the space includes a living/dining room, kitchen/bar, gorgeous bedrooms and newly remodeled bath. The open living space and front bedroom feature private walk-out porches near the skyline and the enormous full-size deck off the kitchen/office serves up stunning downtown views. I'm a student of the local craft cocktail scene, and the kitchen reflects that, with a bar-height counter, an array of glassware and all the tools you'll need to create a Manhattan or Mojito if the mood strikes you. Please note that the kitchen is fully functional, but minimal (think hotplates and toaster oven instead of a gas stove)—so if you plan to do a lot of cooking, scan my other listings, each of which have kitchens with full-size appliances.

  • Great place. I honestly can't do anything but second all the fantastic reviews already here. I really enjoyed the space and its proximity to all KC has to offer.

  • We loved the apartment and its location. Was a great place for a quick night's stay in KC. Everything was as advertised and comfortable. We unfortunately did not have a good night's sleep due to some very loud neighbors upstairs, but nothing to do with the house or the host. Just thin walls and rowdy neighbors :)

    Lauren2016-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great.

    Jenna2017-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • AJ's place was great! Very clean and great location.

  • Great stay! Perfect for our family gathering to celebrate the holidays. We brought in Q39 BBQ and gathered around the great table and laughed, ate and played games. Perfect set up! If you want to cook, probably not the best for you. But if you will be eating most of your meals out, then it’s great. Clean, fresh, modern, fun. If your stay will be during warm weather, the multiple decks will be fabulous!

    Diane2017-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding! What a great place to stay - very cute and comfortable. You can't beat that outdoor spaces! AJ is great with communicating everything you need to know and is very fast with his replies. I would definitely recommend staying here.

  • AJ's gorgeous Arts District loft is spectacular! What a well done restoration project! We were the envy of all of the other YMCA conference delegates during our five day stay in KC. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy! We loved the reclaimed wood surfaces and the artsy decor. If it weren't so hot and humid we would have loved the outdoor seating and the view from the back terrace. Highly recommended to all and especially conference attendees... It's only a .6 mile walk to the convention center and the performing arts center. Thanks so much!

    Marisa2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • I will definitely stay here next time I'm in KC! It was a very efficient process from start to finish. AJ was very quick to respond to my request, and the apartment was in top shape. Cool neighborhood, lots to do near by. I highly recommend this apartment.

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath Loft has been beautifully renovated with all new kitchens, bathrooms, furnishings etc. Located in the heart of downtown, blocks from Convention Center, Power & Light District, Sprint Center & free KC Streetcar that will take you from River Market to Crown Center and Union Station.
Inside a building registered in the National Historic Registry. Has all the modern amenities while preserving historic details like exposed brick and bead board ceilings! Guests have access to gym and rooftop deck!
  • Perfectly located for the events we were attending. Loft is very clean, fresh bright paint everywhere. Loved the huge shower. Kitchen and living areas were spacious. Very nice bedrooms with plenty of closet space. Nice to have a washer and dryer handy. The rooftop deck was perfect for hanging out with friends. Olivia is very quick to respond to any questions. I would highly recommend this host and this loft to anyone visiting the area.

  • Olivia's place was incredible. Within walking distance to the Kauffman Center and Bartle Hall. Lots of things to do/see/eat all within a few steps! I highly recommend staying here. The condo is perfectly furnished, roomy, and has all the amenities you could possibly want for either a short or extended stay. Olivia responds quickly and is extremely accommodating.

  • Thank you for a wonderful experience. The loft was clean, stylish and in a great location. Loved having parking near that we didn't have to pay for. The beds were comfortable. We used the iron provided for touching up our clothes. The sofa was comfortable. Olivia was very helpful with moving up the arrival time and cool with us adding two guests. Just a great overall experience. Thank you!

  • Excellent space, very easy to check in, space was nice and clean, beds are very comfortable. Nothing bad to say at all, highly recommend booking this unit or any of Olivia’s spaces.

  • Loved it!

    Josh2018-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very nice space! Beds were comfortable, bathroom was beautiful. The gym was a nice amenity as was the outdoor patio to enjoy a glass of wine. My only complaint was the noise from the hallway, one night the neighbors were making a lot of noise which easily carried into the bedrooms. If you are a light sleeper, I might suggest ear plugs just in case.

  • A clean, modern loft in downtown KC near P&L District. Loved the location and the size of the loft was perfect. The host was very responsive and helpful!

Wonderful historic loft located privately in the back of a business in the heart of the Crossroads Art District in Kansas City! 10 min walk from the free street car that takes you to downtown, Sprint Center, River Market, Union Station and Crown Center! Walking distance from tons of great restaurants and Kauffman Performing Arts Center. Fully furnished and ready for you to enjoy the true Kansas City experience!
The building that our loft is located in is shared with a business. The front half of the building is a long distance bus station, and the back part of the building is separated and private as the loft. Kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and anything else you may need for cooking. Treadmill and a couple other exercise equipment is also available for you to use respectfully. Television has netflix and hulu but no cable.
  • Very responsive great host and value for money.

    Glen2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was very inexpensive and was a great location. Super close to two railcar stops which we took advantage of. Lyfts from our place to downtown were about $5. There’s a bar nearby called Rhythm and Booze where we enjoyed pool, darts, skeeball, and board games. Found it a bit odd that we were asked not to flush toilet paper, but to put it in the trash can nearby. Overall a great experience.

    Marqui2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • My family had a great time. Irma was was a wonderful hostess and very accommodating, as I needed almost the entire fridge space for my brother's 5 tier wedding cake. The information binder had great suggestions for food. Wish we'd had more time to explore some of the restaurants listed.

    Jennifer2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was large, pretty, quirky, and nice. It is located near great restaurants (we loved Cafe Gratitude) and fun bars (Up/Down was a blast). We were in town for the First Friday art walk, and this loft was right there... the easiest way to see the art, music, and celebrations. A great home base to bounce out of, and cozy couches to come back to.

    Jason2018-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • The flat was well stocked and very spacious for our family. Stephanie was friendly, accommodating and had great communication.

    Kim2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This loft is just like it looks in the pictures. Roomy, nicely put together, and a great location!

    Claire2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay! It is walkable if you are able to walk up hill for .3 miles to a variety of food choices. It was very clean and had a book of fun local favorites. They also had Netflix and Hulu available on their TV.

    Angele2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • The loft is in an extremely convenient location. Close to downtown and also has easy freeway access. Irma was also very nice and we appreciated the tour of the space beforehand. The entryway situation is a bit odd. You have to utilize three separate keys and pass through a functioning business in order to enter the space. Certainly not a deal-breaker, but did make quick trips out to the car more of a hassle. The ceilings in the loft and in the bathroom are very low. As a person with above-average height, this was an issue. I hit my head quite hard on the bathroom door frame and light fixture a number of times. My head also touched the ceiling while taking a shower, so tall people be aware!

The neighborhood is known for the unbeatable views of downtown Kansas City, and easy access to all of the city's greatest spots. Authentic Mexican restaurants and Boulevard Brewery pepper the South side and unique shops and farm to table restaurants define the north end.
  • Great location.

  • What a cute and cozy house this is! We were in town for the weekend to watch my cousin dance at the KC Ballet. Unfortunately, the weather was bad all weekend, so we didn't walk much from the house, but in nice weather the location is perfect for walking everywhere you want to go in downtown KC. Only a few minutes to walk to the restaurants and coffee shops up the street. Definitely get a meal at Westside Local. And your morning coffee at Goat Hill. Very cute neighborhood. Lonnie's house was sparkling clean, and had all the amenities one would need. Beds were comfortable. Neighborhood safe and quiet. There's a great little nook off the room with the double beds that has a little seating area and an electric fireplace mounted on the wall. It's about the most cozy little room ever. Feels like a treehouse, even in Winter, so I can only imagine how cool it would be when there are leaves on the trees outside the windows. Great views to downtown from that room. Enjoyed everything about this stay!

My place is in the Crossroads, which is a great area to walk around and explore. It is the area of the city with the most art galleries, as well as small local bars and restaurants. It is also only a short walk away from the convention center and the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. My place is good for small families, couples, solo adventurers and business travelers.
The Crossroads (officially the Crossroads Arts District) is a historic neighborhood near Downtown Kansas City, Missouri. It is centered at approximately 19th Street and Baltimore Avenue, directly south of the downtown loop and north of Crown Center. It is the city's main art gallery district and center for the visual arts. Dozens of galleries are located in its renovated warehouses and industrial buildings. It is also home to numerous restaurants (including one operated by Lidia Bastianich), housewares shops, architects, designers, an advertising agency, and other visual artists. The district also has several live music venues. Art galleries generally open new shows on the first Friday of each month from 6 to 9 pm. This has become one of the region's most popular regular events as thousands of people flock to the Crossroads for gallery "open houses" amidst the Crossroads's unique atmosphere. In warm months, there are often outdoor bands and performers. There are more than 60 galleries in the Crossroad's district, making it one of the five largest arts districts in the US.
  • Great location, super clean w cool furnishings. Would definitely stay here again!

Easy and clear check in, welcoming and helpful host, and a clean, stylish comfortable place to stay! Eduardo's place is perfectly situated in Kansas City, within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and for our trip, the conference center. I also really appreciated the charm of his home and surrounding neighborhood. Eduardo is a very welcoming, helpful, and happy host! Highly recommend!
