Au programme

We've updated this experience to ensure social distancing can take place, limited group sizes down to 2 from the same household and moved some of the activity outdoors.

Experience the natural beauty and iconic scenery of the unmissable Cotswolds, from the green rolling hills to honey-coloured limestone villages. Escaping the tourist trail, this guided visitor experience gets to the very heart of the Cotswolds, meeting food and drink producers and living like a local. Take in the wide open views from top of the Cotswold escarpment, visit a distillery to sample local gin and whisky and see how its made. This unique experience takes your on a journey visiting Chipping Campden, Broadway Tower, The Cotswolds Distillery, Snowshill and less well-known villages of Ratley and Ebrington. Enjoy a locally sourced ploughman’s cheese and ham lunch in an award winning English pub with a pint of the local beer, followed by a visit to a Cotswold vineyard to sample a local sparkling wine, before returning back to Banbury railway station. Ideal for visiting the Cotswolds if you are staying in London. We can time the experience around your train arrival and departure.

Having lived and worked in the Cotswolds for a number of years and a background in protective landscapes (National Parks and AONBs), I want to share my passion for this part of the beautiful English countryside. Guests will discover and explore the places I love to visit, I will share my local knowledge of the landscape, history, heritage and culture. I've supported many businesses across England to development immersive visitor experiences, I know what guests are looking for when on an Airbnb experience. Its the local expert, great scenery, excellent food and drink, the unexpected and the everyday of visiting somewhere new. The Cotswolds has many stories and as the guest's storyteller for the day, I can't wait to share these.

This experience delivered exactly what it promised and more. From start to finish Chris was an excellent host who was friendly, easy to get on with and very knowledgable. Our highlight of the experience was a visit to the Little Oak Vineyard which included a tour of the vineyard with wine tasting. If you want to see local hidden gems of the Cotswolds away from the tourist traps this is a must do experience which is great value for money.

Chris went above and beyond expectations to provide us with a truly spectacular and personal day out. Chris was an excellent host for the experience, and he felt far more like a friend by the end of the day than our guide. Chris thought of every possible small touch to make the day extra special, and I know that I will remember it for a long time. I honestly can’t rate Chris highly enough.

This was one of the best parts of our visit to the Cotswolds. It was great to do early on in our visit as we covered many places and could get an idea of the towns / places we wanted to return to. Chris was very knowledgeable about the area and gave lots of great tips on other things to do. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this part of the Cotswolds.

This experience is a hidden gem. So much history and things to do right on our doorstep. Chris has clearly put a lot of thought into this experience, he knew about anything of historical value from pubs we drove past to the road we was on as we was driving. Having done many guided tours in different destinations across the world this experience was up there with the best and the crazy thing about it all is it’s in the UK a few hours away! My advice to anyone who comes across this review would be to contact Chris before you book, he can help plan the trip from where to stay if his cottage is all booked up to where the best spots are to eat. Very thoughtful with the COVID situation so we had no worries here either.

A brilliant little experience. Chris has an in depth local knowledge of the area which makes for an excellent day filled with lovely examples of the English countryside, historic sites of interest and an opportunity to sample some great local produce (either via specifically selected tasting sessions or via a thoughtfully packed picnic lunch). Open and friendly as ever, Chris even gave me some tips for the next area I intended on visiting after his tour and dropped me off closer to my accommodation than he needed to. I covered more ground in a shorter amount of time than I would have on my own as a consequence of the overall experience. I would thoroughly recommend.

We booked this excursion with Chris after we did his “Baking Scones in a Cotswold Cottage” experience. We completely fell in love with him! The entire day was magical. Such special touches throughout the day to make it an unforgettable experience. The landscape, the lively conversation, the delicious pub lunch, and Chris’s in depth knowledge on a variety of topics made it such a unique, customized experience. We would do ANYTHING with him!
