Au programme

We'll start with a tour of the gallery as well as a behind the scenes tour of the kiln room and maker spaces - this will take about 20 minutes. Please arrive on time so we can start your tour early. Then we will have a brief demonstration and you will each make 2-3 pots of your own and select colors from our own palette of studio glazes. Finished pottery will be available in 4-6 weeks. If you would like your work shipped - please allow extra time for packing and shipping - you can pay for shipping in person when you arrive for the event. The full experience will take 2 hours less a few minutes for cleaning up. The instructor will lead your making process and will be there for hands-on help as learning pottery is something that normally takes a few months of time. We are an LGBTQ owned and operated business, and the instructors for this experience are also LGBTQ. As an individual I have had experiences that are not exclusive nor welcoming to me as part of a couple. While our studio is always welcome to LGBTQ guests - I know guests appreciate an inclusive LGBTQ event with LGBTQ instructors. You will be able to ask questions and work will be available for sale by the artists leading the experience. Our studio supports these young makers living as artists and we are excited to host and show you our studio and their work. Please no kids under 8 for evening bookings. Thank you!

Vos hôtes

My name is Deanna Ranlett, and I own our ceramic studio and run a mentorship program for artists. I have a degree in ceramics, am a published author in the ceramic field, and all of our instructors are making and selling ceramic work as entrepreneurs as well. We study glaze chemistry and formulate our own glazes and fire electric, gas, and soda kilns. We are LGBTQ owned. We work full time on the creation of ceramic work for restaurants and individuals as well as running the studio. Our co-hosts are part of our mentorship program and have spent years learning to make pottery. My co-host for this experience is Meredith Bradley - she is the potter behind City in Bloom Ceramics based out of our studio. You may recognize her work from shows in GA and TN. Niki Patriarca is a local ceramicist who is working on her masters degree in Atlanta.
