As an avid hiker and lover of nature, I have lived in Santa Cruz for over 25 years and have hiked the better part of the Santa Cruz side of the mountain range. Being in the forest gives me a sense of belonging and rejuvenation. Especially after travelling, being in nature can de-stress you in ways that nothing else can. Au programme

We'll unfold the mysteries of the redwood forest and crane our necks to view the forest canopy, often 200 feet in the sky. We’ll traipse alongside a natural spring with hillsides of giant ferns, taking time to silently listen to the sounds of the forest. We’ll take in a view of the City of Santa Cruz and we'll talk about the different types of terrain and the types of plants that grow in each…

Dress in layers. Wear sturdy hiking boots and long pants. There is no restroom anywhere in the park. Dogs on leash are welcome – please be prepared to clean up after your dog.
