Honey Pot Farm is a must stop for scenery and to learn some very awesome things about bees and meet the lovely hosts and owners, Maggie and Kelly. They educate you about their homestead and the land. I bought the best hand salve and got to experience the fall colors in full. I know I’ll be renting a tent with them in the future!

The tour was a wonderful experience. We were a bit unsure if we were in the right place when we first pulled in…this is not a large commercial farm, and you won’t see any tractors or Old MacDonald in overalls. But Maggie came right out to greet us as we pulled in and ensured we were in the right spot. She was extremely friendly and so were her two dogs who came out to greet us also. We were early so she offered us to walk around the property and explore while awaiting more guests. We met back at the tour start time and we started promptly. The tour was very informative and soon found out we were learning about a lot more than just the bees. Maggie is very passionate about all aspects of farming and especially putting in the work to take care of her land to produce a self sustaining homestead. The tour was informative and Maggie’s stories about how she to where she is kept us entertained the entire time. We would absolutely revisit Honey Pot Farm and also take advantage of the tent camping experience offered.

My daughter asked to drive 1.5 hours to see the farm and I thought she was crazy, BOY WAS I WRONG. It was amazing and well worth the trip. Maggie and Kelly were sweet and their expertise was staggering. The property is so cool and lovely. We were fascinated to hear about all they’ve done to build this self-sustaining farm. We came to see the bees but it was too cold to see them yet we learned SO much from just talked to these wonderful women. If you are interested in seeing how people can do their part big or small to help the environment I highly suggest a visit. We’ll be back!

The apiary tour was great. So informative. The farm is wonderfully and thoughtful laid out to make nature work for itself.
