I had a great experience with Paola and learned so much about coffee! The farm is located high up in the mountains, so get ready for some bumpy roads, but it all worths it. The owner of the plantation and his family were so friendly and welcoming. Please make sure you were long pants and wear comfortable shoes (hiking shoes even better), since the path to the coffee trees are quite wild and narrow. I am giving this coffee tour a 5* for its authenticity, breath taking views and friendly guide!

A very authentic and adventurous experience... It's difficult for me to write everything that we accomplished. Thank you to Pao. She was very kind to drive her car to the farm. I was not expecting this and was thankful... As those mountain buses are wild. As for the route, you will be on paved road and then disappear off the main highway onto a gravel/dirt road. The aforementioned dirt road to the farm is worthy of a feature on discovery channel... You're on the side of a mountain in a very one lane road.. Which is not for the faint heart, but in return you'll have views through the mountains and across the valleys. The farm itself is as traditional as it gets... and it has a ridiculously gorgeous view. I forgot that we were there for coffee. Well, you'll see how a bean is grown from start to finish and where/how it's processed. I was lucky enough to see both the foreman of the farm and the owner. We walked in the coffee bushes, saw the harvesters, discussed the beans, and showed how they were processed and prepared for export. Also, there is plenty of mud at the farm, it's cool, and can often rain. Dress accordingly. So to recap: -wear sunscreen -wear pants (if you want to walk in the coffee bushes) -wear old shoes -take some light cool weather gear -go well rested
