Argentina has the largest Jewish population in Latin America and most of us are in Buenos Aires. The history of the Jewish people in this city is a history of opposition, resistance, tragedy but mostly of success and celebration.
I've thought out a tour that displays the central landmarks of Jewish History and also show the nuances of the very rich and heterogeneous contemporary jewish porteño lifestyle.

Hi! I'm Alejandro. I studied philosophy in the University of Buenos Aires and over the last couple of years i've immersed myself in Jewish and Rabbinical Studies. I studied for a year in Israel and recently came back to continue my training. I'm passionate about Jewish Thought and Jewish History and am constantly researching and discovering new aspects about Jewish history in Argentina, the frame of my personal family history.

We'll meet up in the ruins of where the Israeli Embassy used to stand until the 1992 bomb attack. From there we will make our way through Retiro and Recoleta neighborhoods to the Libertad Synagogue, and after that to Once neighborhood, the center of Jewish life, commerce and kosher (and not so kosher) food.
