We are Harald and Jill. Harald comes from Munich. For German, bread is life! As a big Pretzel fan, Harald can have it for three meal of a day with only butter and cheese. After moved to Singapore, we looked over whole Singapore without a good German Pretzel so we start to make our own Pretzel since last year. Harald cooks in a scientific way by investigating the chemical transformations of ingredients that occur in cooking. Jill tries to cook in an artistic way by recreate the Bavarian Pretzel twisted knot. We would like to share with you our own Pretzel recipe with you!

As a local, I really appreciate that I get to participate in this unique German experience without having to go to Germany itself. Jill and Harry shared a lot of their personal experiences in Germany, put in a lot of effort in creating the right ambience, and even dressed up in traditional German costumes to host us. We have learned so much about the German culture and pretzels in just an afternoon. Needless to say, the pretzels were super delicious and authentic. Highly recommended!

From folk music in the background to Jill & Harold welcoming us in Lederhosen, the lovely host couple certainly brought Germany to Singapore! The bretzel session was hands-on with step by step instructions (no, it's not a typo - join this experience to find out why it's bretzel!) and it made me want to bake again! The cheese and beer served with freshly baked bretzels at the end was a cherry on top. Highly recommend!

Shoutout to Jill and Harry for being suuuper hosts who made us feel at home from the very start. If you're looking to learn something unlike anything else in Singapore then this is it! Located in a shophouse in the quaint neighbourhood of Tiong Bahru, Jill and Harry gave us context about the origins of the Bavarian bretzel before kickstarting the hands-on experience. Harry is really particular about the quality of the ingredients used (we even used his favourite salt he brought from Germany) and Jill's artistic touches will ensure your bretzel-making is foolproof- you'll definitely be in good hands. After all our hard work, we paired our bretzels the best way we know how- with cheese, beer and good conversation. Thanks for the great time you guys :)
