Ce que vous allez faire
We will visit the Korean Temple Food center and the Templestay. This will be a brief introduction to a 1700-year-old history of Korean Buddhism, filled with wisdom and beautiful traditions (I’m not religious however very much in awe of all the beautiful ideas, this ancient way of living teach our modern minds) A short walk from it, we will find ourselves in an important historic site with beautiful Joseon architecture. If you would like, there is an opportunity to try on the “real” traditional Hanbok (Korean traditional dress) travel back in time to be aristocrats of Joseon dynasty for 20 minutes. (It is not a commercial hanbok rental service thus I regret not being able to guarantee all sizes and variety of designs) Although a short glimpse into this culture, it’s my hope that it will give your mind a break from all the shopping, sights and crowdedness of Seoul.
I was born in Seoul and moved to Canada as a teenager. Being a passionate traveller and a professional photographer, I was fortunate to have travelled nearly 90 countries so far. When I was in university, I worked as a tour guide where my love for sharing ideas with people from around the world began. Returning to my native land after zigzagging the world for 20 years, it has been an extraordinary experience of re-discovery, filled with beautiful childhood memories. My passion for exploring old cultures, arts and mindful lifestyle has lead me to explore temple food, Korean history and traditions. I have discovered minimalism, mindfulness, a deep respect for the nature and a sense of beauty. As your new local Korean friend, I warmly invite you to join me in my exploration and celebration of this unique and fascinating culture.
