Ce que vous allez faire

Discover an alternative way of experiencing nature in the Almaguin Highlands (of which Algonquin Park is a part) by learning how to focus your attention on the sounds around you as we guide you on nature trails through the forested regions near Algonquin Park. The Forgotten Trails network and Mikisew Park as well as the forested areas around Warbler's Roost are just some of the areas that we may include in the walks (depending on the weather). We will provide you with different approaches to listening and interpretting the sounds around you, as well as to teach those not unfamiliar with the outdoors, proper hiking etiquette and ways of minimizing your impact on the forest as you walk through it. At the end of the walk, we will meet at an indoor location to have a hot beverage to discuss and share insights during the experience.

Le lieu

As residents of Lount Township (west of South River ON), we have come to know the special areas that are interesting and engaging to hike through. The Almaguin Highlands, of which Algonquin Park is a part, is an area rich with wildlife and still very rural as compared to the Muskoka area to the south of us. We will guide our guests to special locations that we have been to previously so that they can be exposed to new listening experiences.
