We will start with the purchase of the freshest seafood for our paella at the oldest famous Boqueria market, one of the first markets built in Barcelona - the most colourful place where you can really feel the authentic taste of Barcelona.
I will show you some spots with quality seafood for paella and teach you how to pick up the right pieces and what local culinary specialists pay attention to when choosing seafood.
Then we will head to my home (a short walk from Boqueria) where we will treat ourselves with an aperitif and start our culinary class with preparing a famous Catalan tapas Pa amb tomàquet (bread with tomato). Next, we will move to preparing original Sangria together and start cooking paella, following step by step our family recipe. This is a participating culinary class - while some of us are cutting the fruit for sangria, others are peeling off vegetables and cleaning seafood, so that we all can upgrade our cooking skills and enjoy the delicious food. We will cook together as a big Catalan family and top our amazing experience with good wine or beer!
