Learn the art of mixology in this hands-on class—a chance to shake and stir your own cocktail at the Bols’ Experience in Amsterdam. • You'll be guided through a curated tasting of Bols liqueurs and genevers (gin-like spirits made of malt wine and juniper) as I explain their flavor profiles, aromas, and uses in classic and modern cocktails. • As an expert mixologist, I’ll demonstrate cocktail-making techniques and teach you how to balance flavors using the distillery’s Amsterdam-inspired menu. You'll practice using different ingredients, garnishes, and glassware for your drinks. • Best of all, you'll get to craft your own signature cocktail using Bols spirits and seasonal ingredients. Cheers! You'll leave with a deeper knowledge of mixology and cocktail trends, as well as a custom-made goodie bag filled with special surprises to help continue your cocktail journey at home.

The history of Amsterdam & Netherlands through a beer glass

Join me, a beer sommelier, for an immersive 3.5-hour dive into Dutch beer culture and history with a pub crawl through Amsterdam’s Old Town to uncover how beer shaped Dutch history—from medieval times to the modern craft beer revolution. • We will meet in Dam Square right in front of The Royal Palace and then take a 5 minute walk to our first venue. • Our first stop will be De Pilsener Club, a cozy traditional bar that opened in 1893. Sip a classic beer and jenever—a juniper-flavored liquor popular in the Netherlands—as I explain beer’s impact on trade from the Middle Ages to the 17th century. • Next, head to the tasting room at In De Wildeman to enjoy a carefully chosen beer from the selection of 18 on tap and 250-plus in bottles. I’ll discuss the effects of the Industrial Revolution on commercial brewing. • Wrap up with a locally brewed craft beer at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, which has more than 50 Dutch beers on tap and more than 100 types in bottles. As we reflect on how beer styles have evolved for modern palates, you’ll leave with suggestions for more places to drink good beer in Amsterdam.

Want to learn how to make your own delicious edibles? At Get Baked Amsterdam we pride ourselves on offering a unique once in a lifetime high quality experience. We'll be meeting you at the local dispensary that we are cooperating with. Here we will buy the special ingredient together as a group. After, we will walk back to our workspace where the experience will start. We will be teaching you how to make delicious brownies (9 pieces per pair) and gummy’s, step by step. Meanwhile, we would love to educate you on the Netherlands in general, such as it’s history, culture and customs. As well as telling the story about its extraordinary relationship with cannabis. We find it of paramount importance to facilitate a safe, welcoming, and trustworthy environment for everyone who wants to participate. Even if you just would want to observe, and instead learn how to make normal brownies and gummies from scratch, you are very welcome to join. We cater to vegan and gluten-free dietary wishes but only with a minimum of 2 people since the baking takes place in pairs. These options are only for the brownies; gummies include gelatine. Please note we do NOT provide any of that special ingredient or drugs, and it is crucial to be on time. - Bring between 5-10€ p.p. extra for the dispensary - Big group or private booking? Au programme ? Un trip de 4 heures avec le meilleur de la street food hollandaise et quelques spécialités locales bien sûr ! Ride and eat like a local ! Les fameuses Bitterballen ultra croustillantes accompagnées de frites maison, les meilleures stroopwafel de la ville (oui on les a toutes testé avant, la classique tarte aux pommes du pays, les meilleurs sandwichs au bacon et saucisses locales, calamars et poisson fris et hareng pour les plus courageux ! We'll bike to five foodie destinations to taste a variety of the best traditional Dutch foods. Along the way, we'll discover the secret places of Amsterdam East an up-and-coming area full of design shops. Amsterdam East is much safer for cycling, because the city center has become far too busy these days I'll lead you to surprising and beautiful eateries beloved by locals. At each spot we'll be welcomed by the owners and treated to delicious breads, cheeses, smoked mackerel, and more. We end the tour at the brewery 't IJ. Other things to note The minimum number of participants to start a tour is 4 (four). Bring a bottle of water, sunglasses, rainwear, rent a bicycle. Please note, the food is not vegetarian.

If you take a step or two outside of the tourist centre, the city’s neighbourhoods reveal an abundance of cultures from the east and west that have come to the Netherlands over the years, bringing with them their customs, diversity, and of course the food! Street food has long become part of our daily routine and in a city with cultures as diverse and varied as Amsterdam, the possibilities for authentic food are endless! We invite you to take part in the journey of flavors and wonderful stories that this city has to offer and join us on an adventure. AWARD WINNING Airbnb experience in the category “Expertise”! A unique intimate all inclusive experience with insider access to the places we visit. We escape the big crowds! Escape the busy city! A few miles outside Amsterdam lays the beautiful countryside of Holland. Visit the windmills, explore old towns, taste Gouda cheese and Dutch apple pie. This is an all inclusive small group tour. We travel with a luxurious Mini Bus to our destinations. We come at places where no tourbusses can come. When the group is complete we drive north to the small historic fishermen village of Marken. Over there we have a short walk in the village where I explain some of the history. In the harbor of Marken we will stop at a local Dutch cafe for coffee, tea and Dutch apple pie. A great time to get to know each other a bit more. From Marken we drive to the wooden shoe and cheese farm. At the farm we will get a private tour how cheese and wooden shoes are made. You can try to walk on wooden shoes and taste all the different kinds of cheeses. After the experience we drive to the traditional sawmill where they still saw wood as in the old days. The windmill shows the big industrial revolution in the 16th century. Most of the time we will driving through countryside roads to our destinations. All admision, drinks and apple pie is included.
