Tissage libre SAORI pour tout le monde
SAORImôr is one of only 5 registered SAORI studios in the UK and the only one in Wales. I offer this very special opportunity to do this unique craft in one of the most stunning areas of the UK. As a Japanese based craft this activity also offers a link between the mountains and sea of North Wales and the mountains and sea of Japan and a peep into Japanese culture and practice. Weaving is an important part of our Welsh heritage so by taking a short weaving class at SAORImôr you can learn more about how traditional Welsh blankets were made. A SAORI class is easy and fun. The looms are set up and ready for you to weave. Simply choose your colour and texture from the rainbow colour wall, sit at the loom and begin. No rules, no mistakes, just joy! You take your unique piece of weaving home with you. Great for groups, great for team-building!
Other things to note
I have complied with all recommendations for protection against Covid-19.
The studio is wheelchair accessible (unfortunately not the toilet) and I have accessible equipment to enable people of all abilities to weave.

Hidden Snowdon - Hike To The Summit
We'll meet in the car park of Rhyd Ddu Station and after a short briefing will make our way onwards and upwards to the summit of Snowdon.
This route is lesser-known and avoids not only the problems of parking associated with both Llanberis and Pen y Pass but also the crowds. Midweek and we'll have the mountain mostly to ourselves! The approach to the summit ventures along a narrow section of ridge and if unused to such terrain a mountain guide such as myself is, for your saftey, recommended.
The return to the start takes in forgotten slate mines and long-abandoned industrial workings, now romantic ruins, and some history can be discussed as well as explored!
