Lovely 1937 home; wonderful neighborhood. Living room flows into the dining room through a curved archway; great fireplace ; kitchen has a lovely breakfast room overlooking the back garden; bedrooms have sun porches. Close to public transportation.
The house has nice ambiance, folk art & botanical decor, no cable TV but I'll leave the WiFi password; tons of DVD movies and books. Pretty dining room looking into trees. The back bedroom has a queen bed and an office overlooking the garden; the front bedroom has a single bed and very small sun porch which has a cozy reading nook. We wrote that the house could sleep 3, but small people could fit on the sun porch and on one of the couches in the living room, and an adult could fit on the big couch; plus we have two camp pads and extra bedding. We've comfortably slept as many as 6 adults and 2 children. The house was built in 1937 and has not been updated; it has the original kitchen (no dishwasher) and big gas stove.

Guests have access to the whole house; washer and dryer are downstairs in the basement. Depending on the season, the back yard is a lovely spot to sit outside at the patio table and have coffee and read the newspaper. There is a rose garden, lawn, fruit trees, vegetable beds, chickens and bees. The chickens are cared for by a neighbor while we're gone; the bees fly off to the nearby garden center.

If you come in December, we'll be out of the country, but my brother will be available by phone for any questions. Other times, we'll be traveling ourselves but will be available for questions.
If there are heavy rains, sometimes water comes in under the garage door, but it is a cement floor and there are sandbags on the inside of the garage; this doesn't affect the upstairs living space.
Enjoy the house! Since it is on the second floor, it feels quite private.
