Ian's place is perfect! It's easy to get to off of I-10 and close to everything. It's a block away from the streetcar that will take you straight to the French quarter. The neighborhood is amazing. Loved eating at Ruby Slipper for breakfast and late night eats at Witts Inn. The space is beautiful and so spacious, I'd love to come back and do a babymoon and just relax at the house. You should definitely stay here!

Location was convenient and had the NOLA vibe. Full kitchen, with refreshments and snacks included. Ian was great!

Great place. Right by the Jazz fest. Away from the loudness of downtown. Very spacious and fit all of our needs. Highly recommend.

We loved staying in this historic New Orleans shotgun home. The place is clean and made a great central jumping-off-point to explore the rest of the city by street car and Uber. Ian is a wealth of information and gave us a local perspective on places to eat, drink, and experience New Orleans. Thank you for a great weekend!

Thanks for your feedback Emma! The bathtub is a Jacuzzi brand whirlpool, with jets. This option is used in tight places in higher end accommodations. I have changed this in the description so future guests are clear. The mattress is new, so unfortunately once in a while someone finds a firm mattress an issue while others love it. We provide additional yoga mats, and blankets to help alleviate and accommodate guests' concerns. We appreciate your cleanliness comment. With each new person, dishes are run through the dishwasher. Saying they were all dirty is not true. We wish you could have let us know while you were there so we could see what the issue was and take care of it at that point as we always do, if or when anyone is not 100 percent satisfied with our accommodations. Thank you!

Ian was a wonderful and gracious host. I can't adequately express how he contributed to our first Mardi Gras! Not only did he have his beautiful home sprinkled with festive touches, he had a wonderful bottle of wine, snacks, beads, and even rain ponchos for our use. As if that were not enough, he invited us to join he and his friends along the parade route, made some fabulous Creole concoctions, and brought out Mardi Gras appropriate attire for my college age sons. You will never find a more hospitable host!! His home was clean, well equipped, comfortable, and centrally located. We were within walking distance to wonderful restaurants, night life and only a block from the streetcar. The French Quarter was only 2 miles away. The neighborhood was very quiet and clean. We had a wonderful time at Ian's and would love to visit again soon!

I am a real estate developer, real estate broker and just love to build stuff..and I cook a lot. Be careful! I may cook you up a meal better than anything you get in a restaurant!

I was born in London and grew up in roots of what and who I am. I have lived and/or worked all over the United States and New Orleans has been home for over 20 years.

I am a world traveller and love meeting new people and telling them about our fine city...with all its great places and people to meet and greet.

Several of my friends are also airbnb we share stories, what we need to do to make guests experiences better each and every time. We have been doing airbnb for several years now and it feels good when people give us great is that special feeling one gets when you introduce someone to our music, or a place they did not know about in the New Orleans area.

As a New Orleanian I share much of my free time volunteering for WWOZ, and a multitude of organizations I feel passionate about.

What I can't live without...
1) Great food.
2) Music.
3) Yoga.
4) Being able to walk to most everything I need from my house / your place when you stay.
5) Crawfish and other related fresh seafood.
