Having enjoyed 10 years running a creative retreat centre on Dartmoor in Devon, we are would like to share our new found paradise in the mountains of the Serra do Acor.
You can come for a nurturing rest and enjoy the stunning walks, paint, write, make music in our fully equipped music studio or just relax in one of various hammocks and take in the sheer beauty and peace of this garden paradise. We are trying to be as self sufficient as possible by growing as much as we can using organic methods and permaculture.
A healthy vegetarian breakfast is included in the cost of the room and may well include strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and other fruits from the garden.
In the evening you could enjoy a candle lit bath followed by glass of wine and some of our own olives on the veranda, overlooking the garden and mountains beyond,. Evening meals are vegetarian and made, as much as possible, from our own produce. They currently cost 12 euros per person. If you prefer to eat out, we can tell you about our favourite restaurants.
If you feel like being creative Richard is a musician and professional sound engineer and has a fully equipped music and recording studio where you can spend some time making or recording music. Or you could play the grand piano in the house.
If you would like to do some art you are welcome to use the art
studio. Kristin is an artist and can provide tuition, easels and art materials. Perhaps do some landscape painting on the farm and enjoy some of the great places to sit and take in the beauty.

I am an artist and pianist and have been living here in Portugal for four years now and I absolutely love it. My husband Richard and I are vegetarian and are endeavoring to live a more ecologically sustainable life here. I love growing much of the food we eat. Working each day on the land feels so nourishing.
We used to do B&B and run a retreat centre in Dartmoor National Park in the UK. I love meeting new people and sharing our paradise with them.
