À propos de ce logement
Our beautiful, sunny, and newly renovated (2015) 3 floor home is perfect for families. Located on the beautiful shopping street Beethovenstraat, it's walking distance to Museumplein, the Rai, Zuid Station/WTC, and plenty of restaurants & bars. A tram (line 5) stops in front of the apartment, and train station Zuid (bringing you to and from Schipol in 4 minutes) is within a 15 minute walk or 2 tram stops. Everything is at your doorstep with this location!
We love our home, as it's rare to find a large apartment in Amsterdam that is still close to all the great highlights of the city. The easy connection with Schipol, trams, and all the tourist attractions at our doorstep make it a great place to stay at.

Oud-Zuid is one of the richest areas of Amsterdam, and specifically this street is infamous for catching a glimpse of well known Dutch actors etc. On the other hand, it's also what the dutch call "gezelly" or cozy as it has plenty of nice cafes, shops, and restaurants (Le Pain Quotidien downstairs for breakfast/brunch, Starbucks right around the corner etc) to make it a fun place to be no matter who you are. It's also a convenient street for everyday shopping Etos (drugstore), Hergos (butcher as well as great sandwich maker!), Bakery, Marqt (organic grocery store), Fish store (you can get the Dutch favourites: herring or kibbeling), the well-known Albert Heijn for groceries, pharmacy (around the corner), Zwarte Fietsenplan (bike rental) and that's only a few of the shops!
Tram 24, 5 are within 1 min walking from the front door. Zuid Station is 3 stops with tram 5. Parking is 10 cents/hr on Beethovenstraat with a max of an hour Monday-Sat from 9am-6pm, otherwise it's 3 EUR/hr between 6pm-9pm. The Olympic Stadium is a tram ride away (24) which has a P&R:
M-F before 10 am 8EUR for the first 24 hours after 1 EUR/day
M-F after 10 am 1EUR for the first 24 hours after 1 EUR/day
Weekend 1EUR/24 hours
Maximum parking allotted is 96 hours.
Otherwise in the neighbourhood normal street parking is 3 EUR/hr from 9am-9pm. You can also park in Buitenveldert and take a tram/bus from there. Please contact me if you would like to do this.
Keeping the neighbour downstairs happy is very important so please hold to the house rules!
Please no parties, no smoking, no animals, and treat this place as if it were yours...or better if you aren't neat and tidy yourself ;)
Also friendly reminder about the neighbor below. Please talk normal or softer in the stairway up (especially late at night or early am). And there cannot be any stomping, jumping, running, continually dropping things on the wood floor. Also her bedroom is under the kitchen so please don't start the dishwasher or make a ton of noise there late at night (after 11pm or before 7am).
Also do not throw anything but toilet paper in any toilet. So no tampons, pads, anything! It will cause problems with toilet, especially the toilet on the top floor.
