Nice house, really Old school. I enjoyed my stay! Japanese people are really polite and taking care. The house is near to the Nakano station, easy for moving in Tokyo. I recommend !

The house is very cute, everyone is nice and friendly and helpful. The house is around a 10 minute walk from Nakano station. There are a lot of restaurants and the area is lively. The house itself is located in a quiet neighborhood. If you're looking for a more traditional Japanese living experience I recommend this place. The only bad parts about the place was that there is no sitting toilet, only a squatting toilet. Also there are so many mosquitos, I was bitten so many times that I woke up at night a few times.

It's located in a good place where there are convenient stores and local restaurants. But the house itself is quiet and there is a small park with the stray cats. Everyone there was very friendly and helped a lot. Suitble for short stays like 1 or 2 months.

Before and during my stay in Tokyo, Emi who's one of the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip. She made my stay memorable and it was very kind of her to give me a gift and ice cream by the end of the trip. We hung out twice during my stay and practiced both Japanese and English together, her english is quite good! I also enjoy to make small conversations with the women in the house. The house is a small old Japanese house but good enough for anyone who is traveling on budget. It is also a good place if you are a backpacker who wants to learn some Japanese with locals and want to experience living in local house. The shower and kitchen works normally. The toilet might take some adjustment for foreigners/ people who are not used to with squatting. Small locker is provided as well as cabinet spaces to put your toiletries and food related stuff. The only thing I would like to comment is the bedding. The futon and pillow is really thin and soft, which may take some adjustment for some people. I really hope it's something that can be improved in the future. But luckily one of the girls, Hiro lent me her extra futon and Emi lent me her pillow, so I am very grateful for that. One of my favorite thing about this place is the location. It is very convenient to get groceries, food, Daiso (100 yen shop) and entertainment (karaoke, jazz bar, Namco game center, you name it). Laundry is situated right next to a local bath house (Kompara-yu) and they are about 2-3 min walk from the house. To go to the station, you can go through the famous Nakano Broadway or through charming small alleyways. It is one stop from Shinjuku which is very convenient. Walking through Nakano area everyday is very memorable.
