À propos de ce logement
Charming, quiet, recently refurbished suite + living (or bed) room w/ terraces offering panoramic views over city, Tagus and Botanical Garden. Part of a XIX century building in the central+trendy Príncipe Real neighbourhood. NO KITCHEN, but portable stove plate, microwave, mini-bar, coffee/tea maker and basic kitchenware available for a light meal. Ideal for a couple, a small family or 2 friends (max 4, including 1 child) wishing to explore Lisbon sights and exciting restaurant scene on foot.
This rooftop suite with splendid unobstructed views of the city and the Botanical Garden includes a small fridge (minibar) for drinks and snacks, microwave, coffee maker, tea pot, water boiler and basic kitchen utensils so you can have a light meal and a glass of wine / beer. You will specially appreciate it at sunset from the south-west facing balcony.
The main 15 m2 bedroom with a double bed (160 cm wide) is very quiet and connects to a little private balcony overlooking the Botanical Garden of Lisbon, which will be, literally, at your feet.
A second, larger balcony south-west facing the front of the building allows guests to relax in total privacy and offers views over the city and Tagus River.
There is a separate 10 m2 room which serves simultaneously as an extra sleeping room (single high bed - 200 cm x 90 cm) and a lounge / inside dinning area with a small sofa (which also serves as a safe child's bed - length: 160 cm).
The apartment is located in the heart of Príncipe Real, which will give you real Lisbon neighbourhood feel with its lively residential and working community, trendy street retail, delicious restaurants and beautiful gardens.
There are some Portugal and Lisbon guides at your disposal in the apartment, as well as several DVDs.
Upon arrival, you will have a little "welcome-pack" with some basics for breakfast or an afternoon snack, including juice, milk, wine and beer. You are welcome to enjoy all these items, but I'd just ask you to leave the approximate replacement cost of whatever you have consumed, so I can get some more for the next guests.
Organic fruit and jam come directly from my family farm and are complementary.
Accès des voyageurs
All areas (except storage / service areas) of the rooftop apartment are exclusively available to guests which include a bathroom, 2 balconies, 2 rooms and the connecting hall.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
You will receive the apartment completely cleaned with fresh bed sheets and towels. There will be regular cleaning on Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons (may be different days during cleaning lady's holiday in August). If you would prefer not to be disturbed on those days, please leave a note with a post-it on the 3rd floor door in the morning.
For any queries, I'll be always available on my mobile and almost always over messenger.
If I am in town and not "under-water" with work, I'll probably ask you if you want to grab drink or even a meal together (I live just below). But I will definitely not be upset, if you have no time. Lisbon is an exciting city and there are tons of things to do!
The Design District of Príncipe Real is full of exciting concept stores and shopping galleries (Embaixada and EntreTanto.Lx), fashion designers, art galleries, antique shops, delicious restaurants and charming neighbourhood cafes, all within 3 min walk.
My favourites are:
- A Cevicheria (Rua D. Pedro V, 129) for Peruvian food and good vibes (40€/pp)
- Atalho (basement of Embaixada - Portuguese Shopping Gallery) for meat and beautiful terrace when warm (20€/pp)
- GinLovers / Less (ground floor of Embaixada) for a light meal and gin (30€/pp)
- ZeroZero (Rua da Escola Politécnica, 32) for Italian food, in particular Pizzas (20€/pp)
- Pavilhão Chinês (Rua D. Pedro V, 89/91) for a drink enjoying an incredible decoration
- Insólito Restaurant and Bar (Rua de São Pedro de Alcântara 83) for an incredible view (this one might be 5 min walk)
The neighbourhood also offers other must-sees:
- Enjoy sunset with the stunning views of Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcântara
- Chill in the shade of Jardim do Principe Real with its gigantic cedar tree
- Taste Portuguese wine at Solar do Vinho do Porto
- Explore the collection of the Medeiros e Almeida Museum
- Visit the Natural History Museum and Botanical Gardens (just next door)
- Walk down to Chiado, Baixa and Av. da Liberdade (10-15 min walk away)
There are bus connections (758, 773) available and the tube is a 7 min walk. If you are traveling with bags, I'd recommend taxi or Uber. It should be a 10€-15€ ride from airport.
This is a small rooftop apartment on a 4th floor with no elevator (not recommended for people with reduced mobility) and relatively low ceiling height.
Although the apartment allows the preparation of a light meal, such as breakfast or a snack, you will not be able to cook a full meal (no kitchen).
The apartment accommodates comfortably 2 adults and 1 child. It can host (although not as comfortably) 3 adults (2 of them will have to share a bed) or a couple with 2 children (one of them will have to use the smaller bed in the single room / living area which is only 160cm long).
There are other residential / older tenants living in the building so please respect the neighbours.
Smoking only allowed outside on the terrace / balconies.
Well behaved pets welcome.

I love people and exploring the world, tasty food, a good talk with friends and celebrating life in general. My favourite destination is probably the middle of nowhere surrounded by wild nature, but you will find me often also tanning by the sea or discovering an exciting city.
Although traveling is a passion, it would be tough to live anywhere else but in the heart of my hometown, Lisbon, where I live and work happily surrounded by friends and family with my 6-year-old son Francisco and my dog Jack.
