A generous downstairs study-bedroom in relaxed cottage in a much-loved seaside village. The downstairs bathroom is yours to use but it might be shared with someone in the Library (our other listing - though we anticipate this may be someone in the same party)
You are invited to use the sitting room and garden, together with the library (when it's not hired out).
Your room has a large wardrobe, double bed, desk and chair. There is no TV there but the one in the sitting room is available. There are also tea and coffee making facilities - but you are most welcome in the kitchen.
Breakfast will be served in the garden end of the sitting room. You can choose from hot and cold options - vegetarian and vegan options are available on request. We source our food locally where possible, any eggs, bacon or sausage are free-range and much of your breakfast will be organic. We live down a quiet private road which is five minutes' stroll from beautiful sandy beach (with some pebbles). Quite a few people come for surfing here and you can pop a surfboard or two in our garage if you want. Sorry, but it's not suitable for young children due to the pond in the garden.
Although our postal address is indeed West Wittering, you will only be a short amble from East Wittering village. There are plenty of lovely local shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance.
You can reach us easily by bus, and the railway station is right next to the bus station in Chichester. We do have off-road parking.
If you love the sea ( and books!) ours is the ideal place to stay.
No smoking anywhere on the property, please. That's it, really - that and if you need beach towels use the ones from the box in the bathroom, please.
I should point out that the water is softened - but water from the kitchen tap and the fridge is perfectly safe to drink.
Obviously, you would clear up after yourselves anyway but you might like to know we're happy for you to bring a takeaway into the kitchen if you want.
Mobile reception can be variable at times - you're welcome to use the house phone, just ask.

I am a writer ( under the name K. M. Lockwood) and I am in love with the sea. I collect books about it; find sea-glass on the beach and write stories involving seals, shipwrecks or cities by the sea.
