Our Meneau Suite is a one-bedroom 50 square meter (540 square feet) apartment. It is entered through the stone tower up one flight of stairs in a 15th century building. We have kept the character of the building including the original beams and floor tiles, all the apliances, kitchen and bathroom are modern. Towels, bed linens and kitchen linens are supplied weekly and are included in the rate as are all heating costs. FREE internet access is available.
Our Meneau Suite is in the centre of the old town and it is steps away from wonderful bakeries, cafes, restaurants and boutiques. La Charité-sur-Loire has a population of just over 6500 people. It is large enough to offer shops and facilities to the lovers of things French and yet is small enough to have maintained its medieval charm. La Charité-sur-Loire offers a full range of services from exquisite boulangeries (bakeries), wine shops and a weekly market (Saturday mornings in the main square) and modern full-scale supermarkets. There is also a range of restaurants in the heart of this medieval village from pubs, to pizzerias, to upscale restaurants.
The Meneau Suite has a fully equipped kitchen with appliances including a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove with electric cook-top and electric oven, coffee maker, toaster and microwave. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, utensils, pots and pans sufficient to make your favourite meals. There is also a clothes washing machine for your convenience.
The living room is adjacent to the kitchen/dining room and it has two cozy armchairs, a sofa (which folds down into a comfortable double bed). There is also a television (18 French channels, CNN, BBC News, SKY News) complete with a selection of DVDs. There is a bookcase filled with all manner of books in English and French for you to read.
The bedroom has a queen size bed (160 x 200cm) with an armoire. There is also a full en-suite bathroom with shower and heated towel rack.
Adjacent to the bedroom, there is a private outdoor courtyard with table and four chairs for your dining and sunbathing pleasure.
Use La Charité-sur-Loire as a base to discover our picturesque, medieval town and the surrounding region. Wine tasting tours, château tours, canal tours, hiking, cycling, golfing, swimming, medieval festivals, music festivals, antique fairs and book fairs are just some of the many activities which will keep you busy during your stay. We offer four bicycles and helmets for rent at 10 euros each per day on a 'first come first serve basis'.
We recommend a car while you are here to visit the lovely hilltop villages, visiting châteaux, wine tasting and many other sights.
If you would like to arrive by train, there is a train from Gare de Bercy in Paris to La Charité-sur-Loire. We offer to pick our guests up from the train station.

Hello, we are Byron and Kelly from Vancouver on the West Coast of Canada. We have had the opportunity to travel widely over the years, and have always enjoyed returning to France. In 2003 we decided to sell our home in Vancouver and move to France. We discovered the delightful town of La Charité-sur-Loire in Burgundy and immediately fell in love with the town and the area. In 2004 we opened the first of our vacation rentals and currently have five such rentals in the centre of this medieval town. We enjoy the many festivals in town and the area throughout the year. We are close enough to Paris to 'pop up' for the day. We enjoy sharing our love of the area with our guests from all over the world.
