Relax in a gorgeous renovated barn with stunning views of Hood Canal & Olympic Mtns. Graze fresh organic fruits and veggies in season. Explore miles of hiking/biking trails, historic Port Gamble, or the Olympics. Play pingpong, do crafts or kick back with an art book from our library. Connect with friends or family in sunny, rustic loft: 2 small sleeping rooms separated by curtains from large open space with futons for 2-8 more. Cook together in well-stocked kitchen with huge table.

Le logement
Relax and rejuvenate in this inspiring, creative open space with a loft-like ambiance. Built in 1927, this former chicken coop has original wood floors and walls with modern furnishings and comforts. Kick back with pingpong, extensive games, art supplies and books.

Accès des voyageurs
The Barn will be open for you upon arrival, with a deadbolt key on the welcome table. Ask us to show you our organic micro farm with orchard, blueberries and large open spaces. With a trail map, we'll show you the way to forested glens and a beautiful spring. Bring your bike or hiking shoes for direct access to 4000 acres of hiking/biking trails.

You'll be on a high hill just east of the Hood Canal Bridge, gateway from the Seattle area to to the wilds, beaches, mountains and national parks of the Olympic Peninsula.
- 30 min. from Bainbridge Island
- 30 min. to Historic Port Townsend
- 15 min. to Norwegian town of Poulsbo
- 5 min. to several gorgeous public beaches & boat launch
- 5 min. to historic Port Gamble

Autres remarques
The Barn is best for couples, business travelers, singles, families and groups of close friends, as the open loft space and sleeping rooms do not offer full privacy of separate bedrooms.

Pet Policy
House-trained dogs or cats are allowed in some cases, for a minimum $50 non-refundable cleaning fee per pet, if requested before arrival. If pets go near or on the furniture or beds, you must cover with extra sheets (in drawer of cabinet near entry). Dogs must be on leash outdoors, and all poo picked up. Pets may not be left alone in the Barn unless in portable kennel. Guest assumes responsibility for pet damage, including stains, odors, holes or other damages and/or any additional cleaning as necessary.

Long-Term Stays
In 2020 and beyond, we're happy to host long-term stays. However, the level of cleaning required is far more than for a weekend. Our policy for stays over 27 days: We provide a detailed checklist and request that you clean the space to a basic level. We request an extra cleaning fee of $100/per month for deeper cleaning that’s necessary after a long stay (a portion of this extra cleaning fee could be refunded at our discretion, if your cleanliness standard matches ours.)
Pets are welcome for long stays, but we increase our per pet cleaning fee to $100/month, to cover hair removal from all surfaces, waste disposal, and wear and tear.

If you agree to these terms, we're happy to host you long-term.

The Barn is located in a small private community, a former 40-acre farm. We live in the original 1927 homestead farmhouse, a short walk away. Explore the private trails, wildlife, natural beauty, and close access to four nearby beaches (maps provided). It's a 5 minute drive or 30-40 minute walk to Port Gamble, with fun antique stores, historic museums, great restaurants such as the Port Gamble General Store and Cafe with seashell museum upstairs. Great drive-thru espresso.
