The Minshuku (Japanese style bed and breakfast) is a highly recommended experience and NAKANOYA has to be one of the best ways to experience it. Kuniyasu-san and Naoko-san were great hosts and extremely hospitable. I have never had such an amazing meal in such a beautiful location. Kuniyasu-san is a man of many talents, and rarely, if ever, will you be able to eat food from the same man whom harvested the rice and vegetables. It was my favorite traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast of the trip! He also brews his amazing un-filtered sake. This is the clearest example of Farm-to-Table I have witnessed in Japan or anywhere else. Naoko-san picked us up from an easy to access location from the freeway and even helped us retrieve an item we left on the bus there. This was by far our favorite airbnb!

This was the perfect stay and one of our favorites in Japan! The home was secluded but amazing to be in the mountains and see the incredible amounts of snow! The dinner and breakfast was traditional and the host wonderful. He even set up a soba making class for us!

Amazing place. Good food, nice people, and good home made sake. It was amazing during snow season. Wake up 7 am with cup of coffee and look outside window into wilderness with snow flakes. The most beautiful morning ever. We have short stay, but "amazing". Thank you to Kuniyasu Nakanishi

Kuniyasu-San and his Wife Glenda is the best host I ever met on Airbnb. We arrived late at night in a snow storm. My nephew was having high fever for days and it got worse that night. Glenda provide us traditional tricks and care about the situation, like it's her own kid. Situation gone worse the next day. Kubiyasu-San immediately took us to the nearest clinic. We were desperate as we expect there's nothing in he mountain. kubiyasu-San and his wife has help translating to the doctor to make sure the kid was correctly treated. Finally we were safe back home. The place is comfort, the experience is amazing, most importantly is the host's hospitality. That's surely something you cannot find in a hotel. I strongly recommend every user to spend a nice getaway at this house!!!

Staying with Kuniyasu san and his wife Gwenda was an amazing adventure. We were picked up by Kuniyasu san and drove up the snowy mountains to the guest house. We were warmly welcomed by Gwenda who speaks very good English. Kuniyasu san is a great chef and the traditional Japanese food was delicious. He also prepares his own dense sake, so good that I couldn't refuse to buy couple of bottles. In the morning we had traditional preparation of mochi in a nearby barn. I totally reccomend Kuniyasu san's and Gwenda's guest house. We loved it!

We really enjoyed and feel very comfortable to stay with Kuniyasu san (Papa) and his lovely wife - Gwenda (Mama). Both of them treated us like their own children. Papa cooked for us everyday and he is a very good chef. We loved his food (Traditional Japanese Food) and the home made rice sake. Stayed at Nakanoya really can give you the feeling like "Home sweet Home". Till now we still miss them so much and we definitely recommended you to stay with them.
