Three miles from historic downtown Truckee, California. Located in a quiet, mostly locals neighborhood— a few minutes drive to I80 and historic downtown Truckee. The home is in a premier location within the subdivision, with no through traffic. The space is well appointed, with beautiful original artwork, and comfortable furnishings. The cathedral windows and wrap around redwood decks with copper railing provide for stunning mountain, valley and Prosser Lake views. The atmosphere of the home is one of simple elegance, quiet, peaceful, but still uplifting with generous quantities of indirect light filtering through the pines.
A two story contemporary style home—with high ceilings, celestial windows, and open floor plan create the perfect space for gathering. Entry level includes living room, dining room, kitchen, breakfast nook, pantry, wood bin, hall closet and half bath. The kitchen is fully stocked and has all the essentials required for preparing meals with gas stove, convection oven, microwave, and dishwasher. There is a tea kettle, drip style 12 cup coffee maker and a 4 cup French press.
Lower level has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a full service laundry room, with iron and ironing board. The master suite has a slider that opens on to a private deck. The space is roomy and contains a queen size bed, with dual controlled heated mattress pad, a flat screen tv with cable, a walk-in shower, and bathtub. The second bedroom contains a queen size bed. The third bedroom has a full size bed with dedicated office space in an adjacent alcove. The second bathroom has a tub/shower with detached water pik shower head.
Some additional details:
Bedding: All linens, towels, pillows and blankets are provided. Down, synthetic and gel style pillows are available to suit most sleeping needs. Every bed has a cozy down comforter encased in freshly laundered duvet covers. Each bedroom is stocked with towel sets, an extra set of linens, extra pillows (including one body pillow) and heating pad.
All bedrooms have a luggage rack, complimentary bottled water, and a surge protector strip to recharge your electronics overnight. There are clean robes available for your use.
Sundries: Two humidifiers, a flat iron, and blow dryer, heating pads, first aid kit, toilet paper, tissue paper, paper towels, a free standing floor heater, a free standing fan.
Business minded: All bedrooms have a luggage rack, hangers, and a surge protector strip to recharge your electronics, . There are clean robes available for your use, complimentary bottled water, shampoo, body lotion and soap.
The office (part of guest bedroom) is a fully functioning work space with a four in one air printer. Stocked with paper, pens, pencils, ruler, stapler, three hole punch, scissors, paper, tape, paper clips etc.. you will find everything you need to get it done and on your way to fun and relaxation.
Wifi- please note wifi is impacted on holidays and weekends because of the shear numbers of visitors to the area. This can cause difficulties relating to signal strength for all end users e.g. Gaining access to as well as staying on the internet.
My home is a short walk to Prosser Lake and the acres of open space surrounding it. We live in a neighborhood consisting primarily of year-round local residents, lots of dogs, friendly and social neighbors. In the winter don't forget your snow shoes! In the summer bring your hiking boots.

I keep my cell phone close for questions and local information. Also, my daughter, Ashley Connor, is available to assist you with any needs you have. My next door neighbor, Elaine Johnson helps me oversee management of the property as well.
No garage access to guests. There is plenty of parking available on driveway. Please review house manual for information on City of Truckee winter parking ordinance for detailed information.
Garbage cans on deck off kitchen. Black is regular garbage, blue is for all recyclables.
No more than 6 guests. Strictly enforced.
Simply respect the property and the neighbors.
Absolutely no smoking allowed, in or on the property.
The home is not toddler friendly. Kitchen has open shelves with glassware within easy reach of an exploring toddler. It has an open stair well with cattle guard railings inside and out. The house sits on a steep lot. Decks rise 30+ feet from ground level.
No ski boots, shoes, or anything but bare or socked feet on carpeted areas of home please.
Please leave ski equipment locked in your car or place on outside deck just off kitchen area.
Homes in this subdivision are on septic systems. Please only tissue in toilets! Tampons, pads etc. should be wrapped in toilet paper and placed in garbage cans.
The primary renter must be at least 18 years old.
Please park on completely within driveway during winter months. Vehicles obstructing snow removal equipment or parked along roadway will be towed. Snow poles on either side of the driveway help you gage the dimensions of the parking area.
I have snow removal service. Operator comes after every storm and when the snow plow leaves a berm. If there are cars on the driveway he will work around them as best he can to provide access for you.

I have lived in Truckee since 1982. I prefer the outdoors and love living in Truckee. The community is amazing, lively and fun. My greatest treasure are my family and friends.
