Jamie is such an amazing host and the penthouse is absolute perfection! The views are absolutely breathtaking and the property is perfectly manicured. The penthouse is so stylishly decorated and the rooftop terrace is perfect for early mornings and late night stargazing. The furniture is super comfy and allows for plenty of seating. Both of the beds feel like clouds, they are the perfect mix of hard and soft after a long day of hiking. This penthouse is very centrally located, with Rincon only 30 mins away and many food trucks along the way. There is also a Walgreens and grocery store within a 10-minute drive. CrashBoat beach was lovely with food and drink vendors, as well as a pier for jumping and fishing. The locals were so friendly and helpful. Having a washer/dryer was such a bonus, allowing us to pack all clean clothes for our trip home. The infinity pool is gorgeous and they even have a smaller pool with seating and jets to relax in while enjoy sunset. There is also a community grill with a large sink/prep area and indoor/outdoor seating. The beds along the property are perfect for lazing around and taking in the views! We spent the majority of our time exploring the island, but this was the IDEAL home base to come back to and relax each evening. There is also a Walmart about 20 min away for anything you may need. Jamie also provided plenty of beach towels, chairs and noodles to enjoy the beach and pool. He is also the MOST gracious host; we went horseback riding on our last day and somehow I lost the house key. I arrived back at the condo at 9:30 pm Sunday and began to panic when I realized I had lost the key. I had to call Jamie and he was so helpful. Luckily he had a code on the door and I was inside and reunited with my belongings and lovely abode within minutes. I strongly recommend that anyone visiting the area stay at the AlmaRosa, you will not be disappointed. **BONUS** The pool is open until 1am on Fri, Sat & the eve of holidays. We rarely saw anyone using it, so it felt like our own private pool. The grounds are also very peaceful and quiet, we did not see many other guests/residents during our stay and it is very secure with a 24-hour gate attendant. We ventured all the way down to the Cabo Rojo lighthouse, Salt Flats and Natural Bridge, I strongly recommend these and left notes in the guest book for future guests. If you like coffee, make the trek to Café 2 Go Rincon on 413. It was honestly the best coffee and lattes I have ever had. I am totally in love with this penthouse, Puerto Rico and the entire experience Jamie allowed me to have by sharing his wonderful piece of paradise. I can NOT wait to go back and cannot imagine staying anywhere else.
