Much more than a holiday home, you will have your own private small villa.
Much more than a holiday home.
Strategically located on the edge of Amalfi Coast, 8 minutes from Pompei yet surprisingly close to Naples and Salerno and to the Naples International Airport.
Situated in Gragnano it is a mere half an hour from the International Airport, and yet the small villa itself lies in the famous city founded on pasta, wine and pizza. The location offers a unique combination of easy accessibility and privacy.
The small villa consists of two bedrooms (one independent and one in open space), a kitchen, a big living room and a bathroom. The open space area may sleep up to four people with a 2 single beds availability and a double sofa bed. In total the small villa can sleep 6 people.
The outdoor area is the epicenter of life in the summer and sunny days and have been designed accordingly: a large gazbo area with clear views of the garden; a wood oven to encourage our gests to experience the art of making pizza; a garden to taste km 0 fruit and vegetables; parking area.
The layout encourages togetherness, but also allows for privacy.
ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA
I recommend trips to the Pompei and Ercolano ruins, a real step into the past. A visit to Castellammare di Stabia is a must. A small town in the Gulf of Naples, shaped as a natural bowl among the hills, into an extremely fertile area, rich in mineral waters. I strictly recommend a trip to the volcan Vesuvio mouth, from there you will have a total view on the Naples' and Castellammare di Stabia' gulf and as a plus you will experience the thrill of watching vapors coming out from the volcano that made the history of the whole area.
Activities in the area include trekking, cycling, cruises. Especially recommended are excursion to the Capri and Ischia islands.
Naples and Salerno can be reached in half an hour. I strictly recommend a visit to the Via Caracciolo area in Naples to admire the Dell'Ovo Castle and a visit to the lungomare of Salerno.
Last but not least a visit to the astonishing Amalfi Cost.
If you have any questions, just ask!
In Gragnano kitchen is considered an art. There are may restaurants and pizzerias close to the small villa and just as many in the neighbouring towns. Gragnano is famous for pizza, pasta and wine. Meat as well is advisable. If you want to eat fish I recommend to go to Castellammare di Stabia, Naples or to the Amalfi Cost. I have a long list of very good restaurants. Just ask!
If you need to use the washing machine, please ask. In case you want to use the wood oven to cook and experience the real pizza making it can be done for an additional fee. Feel free to ask
I am available by phone at any time of the day or night. If I am in Milan, Maria (my mother) will come over to check and help you to accomodate.
I have a dog, Kelly, that lives in the garden. I will come once a day to feed her
The garden has free access but if you want to taste fruits and vegetables please ask, do not pick them by yourself.
From the airport and from Naples: if you have GPS, then you should enter the motorway heading Salerno. Exit to Castellammare di Stabia and start heading Amalfi Coast. At last take the exit Gragnano.
From Salerno: you should enter the motorway heading Naples. Exit to Angri and then start heading Gragnano.
SUGGESTIONS ON MOBILITY
Visiting the multiple areas of interest requires you to have a car or a scooter.
I recommend a car for the winter months but it is advisable to have a scooter in the summer days. Amalfi Cost can only be reached from one street (SS 163) and during the summer it is highly likely find it traffic congested. More in general areas of interest can either be reached by car or scooter
Please be nice to Kelly the dog.
At night noisy parties are not allowed.
Internet: the area has not a very good connection. I will provide you with my modem.
I live in Milan for working reasons. I am always dreaming about the shiny days of the Amalfi coast and have a trip there whenever I can.
I am passionate about sports and musics, proactive and determined. Always looking for travel and visiting new places
