Sölvahús is a reputable member of Sauðárkrókur Old-town.
So I had a fun task to leave the best of the 100 year history and to introduce unconventional ideas of mine.
Its big and small at the same time, having some mystery chambers.
The house is quite and intimate, so you will not be disturbed if you don´t wish it!
Suitable for all sorts of guests. I would encourage the young parents to visit us. But I will greet anyone open-arms and make you feel at home.
Sölvahús was built in 1927. So historic charm of the house meets modern times. The room is in quite brown shades, boosting an old coffee table and closet, but fancies big black bed and two armchairs.

You are expected to come to my kitchen and make a cup of tea or coffee. Also - to have a chat with me in the cozy dining room. My workshop is always open in the basement feat. me, wool, spinning wheel, leather, fish-skins and weaving-loom.

I´m a Latvian, enjoying life in Iceland. Almost like a thief in paradise. 2 sons, some pets.
I love to think of myself as an artist. I like spinning, weaving, book-binding. I like non-conventional art and life.
Recently I've been changing my life, quiting work, taking more time and reviewing the work done.
I welcome all kinds of people. No judgement. That's something very Icelandic.
