We welcome guests to a quiet retreat in our country home on 5 acres! We have 2 bedrooms, a sunny den and a private bath available upstairs in our home, all yours. In the country but close to town, 20 minutes to the U of O.
The bedrooms and den/reading room available are upstairs and away from the main part of our house. The bedrooms are large (14'x14' and 15'x15') and have windows facing either the backyard or front yard, which look out onto acreage rather than into other yards or neighborhoods. There is a TV available upstairs. Your space upstairs also has a small sitting room/den with a mini-refrigerator, microwave, teas, and keurig coffee maker, as well as a place to eat in a private area if you wish to do so. Please keep in mind this is a mini-refrigerator and space is limited. This room also has a twin bed if someone prefers to use this as a separate sleeping space. I will provide you with a Continental breakfast: homemade muffins/pastries, fresh fruits, yogurts, and our farm fresh eggs (hard-boiled).

You are welcome to utilize our dining area off the kitchen for your meals if you wish. In nicer weather we have a back porch with seating areas and a protective awning off the porch. There is a bar-b-q available to use, just ask for our help. And you are welcome to use the washer and dryer, just ask for assistance.

We would love to offer you ideas on where to visit/dine in the area. If you are interested in chatting that is wonderful, but we also respect folks' space and know some are into just relaxing quietly on their own.
We have one dog, Tate, who is extremely quiet and mellow. He loves, loves people! We do our best to restrict his presence in your own areas.
We request no smoking inside our home. If you are a smoker please do so only on the outside porches.
No recreational drugs are permitted.
Please note the "no pet" guideline. We love dogs, but have a large one here and not sure how he would react to another dog.
We ask that you clean up the kitchen and dining areas you utilize.
Please no outside guests or parties in our home.
We ask that 11pm -7am be quiet hours.
I am a retired elementary level teacher and also taught at the university level. Jim and I stay very busy on our 5 acre property tending to gardens, construction projects, and enjoying our dog and chickens. We love to travel, our favorite destinations being Europe, Mexico, and Hawaii. I also enjoy cooking, reading, walking, kayaking and water color painting. Jim's time is spent primarily on restoring classic cars. And we always enjoying spending time with our grown children that live close by!
