À propos de ce logement
The renovated 2 bed apartment is perfect for a city holiday away from home. If you are seeking a peaceful city sanctuary you have found it. Central city proximity, close to airport too yet the sounds of nature abound. There are a wide variety of quality shops at both ends of the street. Being located well back from the road there is virtually no traffic noise or street lighting to disturb your tranquillity. If you have any special requests just let us know. We love having guests, do try us out!
You have 2 well equipped, newly renovated bedrooms, one looking onto its own tiled BBQ area bathed in sun, with a second outside area in the garden for the afternoon sun. Both bedrooms have luxurious beds which is gloriously comfortable, large wardrobes with mirror, case stand, black out facilities, shelving and bedside lights. Everything is spotlessly clean and fresh including your beautiful, brand new, fully equipped, laundry and kitchen. Your bathroom is also brand spankingly new, spacious and has an almost unlimited supply of high pressure hot water. I live upstairs in the same house so am usually available but will never invade your privacy.

If you are traveling on to Wellington can I recommend this listing : https://www.airbnb.co.nz/rooms/10272733?preview It is in the heart of the city but being an apartment that is 8 floors up it is above the traffic noise with ready access to some handy shops just below. It has a lovely view of the harbour too and sun pours in and onto the balcony. It sleeps 4 comfortably, two double rooms, queen beds, access to shared pool and sauna and is a 5 minute walk from Te Papa. They have also kept the rate very reasonable. Check it out!

I love helping people get the most out of their holidays and am very happy to help in any way I can. I can even do airport pick ups and drop offs most of the time. I am happy to provide guests with other meals for an extra cost, your wish is generally my command! Although I have only just renovated my home and listed these rooms on Airbnb I hosted when in Brunei and have had lodgers and boarders for 30 years. You can tell I love it!
We are only 20 minutes from the airport and can offer a drop off for $45.00, taxis are $75.00. We are also on the Airport Bus route. This service runs every 10 minutes at peak time and passes both ends of our street, Mt Eden Road and Landscape Road, from where you can easily walk to mine. It is only $16 one way for an adult to or from the airport, less per person as your number increases. This bus also runs to the ferry terminal for the islands and Devonport, eg Waiheke Island, ranked the 5th most beautiful destination in the World by the Lonely Planet You are guaranteed a quiet night at mine and yet the center of Auckland is only 20 minutes away by bus or car. The property is surrounded with trees and the birdsong is beautiful to listen to. We have many parks and reserves nearby so whether you like the countryside or the city there will be plenty to keep you occupied.
I would like guests to feel completely at home, only be respectful of the needs of others, especially when it comes to sleeping. None of us smoke but guests may smoke outside if they wish, they have their own patio/BBQ area. We respectfully request that you not bring children onto the property as we have had to replace damaged items, some actually irreplaceable. Babies still in their cots are welcome though.
Quiet time after 10pm.

I am outgoing, genial and adventurous. I raised my children in a converted tobacco shed in New Zealand with the help of over 40 Boarders, girls, boys, men and women from around the world who shared a snippet of their lives with us. I had half an acre of garden which I converted from a sheep paddock. Passers by would come in to wander round; I love gardening. I have an Honours degree in Agriculture and an MPhil in Horticulture; I love animals too! I have explored every continent except the poles to a greater or lesser extent. I taught Biology in Brunei for the last 10 years to 52 different nationalities of children but have to admit I cannot speak that many languages; luckily the teaching was all in English! I set up a charity for the nomadic Penan people on Borneo 9 years ago, HelpingHands Penan and currently run it, in absentia, with the help of many others. We have supported hundreds through school, hospital and in their travel to keep them safe from the logging contractors. The first ever Penan child to graduate with a degree is a result of 8 years of support from us and an iron will to succeed on her part. I read extensively, love World Cinema, knit, sew, embroider etc, and get my daily thrills from mountain biking, trekking and diving when possible. I rent out my other two homes in NZ and have helped manage others for friends, even running their guest houses so they could take a break. I hope I always leave a property better than I found it if at all possible; fix broken items, weed, do the laundry, clean thoroughly etc. The people I have met through Airbnb have blown me away and I intend to stay in contact and return again. I think it's fabulous! I have just returned to NZ and am loving it, who wouldn't!?
