'We head towards the sea for a cliff walk looking over Crackington Haven beach. It feels as though we’re walking at the edge of the world: the contrast of blue sea, craggy coast, gorse bushes and wildflowers is transfixing. And the kids love it too. Once in a while, it’s good to feel small and let the landscape dominate you.'

Abel's has a lovely slated patio area at the front of the property, perfect for sitting in the sunshine, eating meals and sitting under the breathtaking starlit night skies.
There is a shed with BBQ for your use.
Your children and dogs will enjoy the garden area, plenty of space to kick a football around.
Three minutes walk across the garden and around the hedge in the cliff field will take you to the coastal footpath and the spectacular rugged Cornish cliffs.
The cottage is next to woodland, which belongs to Cleave Farm. Springtime is breathtaking as the wildflowers take over and carpet the ground between ancient, twisty oaks and trees of the woodland.

I moved to Cleave Farm as a child in 1977, forty years ago! My parents did the old barns up on a shoe string back in the seventies and Mum ran the cottages for over 30 years. More recently the cottages have been updated to make them comfier.
I moved away to study, travel, work, but returned to Cleave in 2007. It is great that my own three children are now being brought up where I spent my childhood.
