Set in the the picturesque beach town of Hermanus, South Africa, 'Third Street House' is a large home spread over various levels, a style that lends itself to privacy in the bedrooms downstairs, with an open-plan living space upstairs.
No more than a five minute drive from the beaches of Hermanus, this family house is often described as a home that “lives well”. Most of the bedrooms are downstairs, away from the entertainment area upstairs, a separation that creates a feeling of privacy in the bedrooms. The house has a full bouquet DStv (satellite television package), with flat screen, as well as Wifi. There are 3 bedrooms (2 double beds, 3 single beds) and a rec room with loads of seating (and could possibly sleep another 3 people). The dining area (seating 10 people) and kitchen are located on the middle level of the house, and includes a scullery with a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer.
The upstairs living area is very spacious and includes a bar area and built-in wood-fired BBQ ("braai"). Large doors open up the space onto the oversized deck, where a 10-seater teak wooden table is perfect for al fresco dining, reading, relaxing, and socialising, as well as sea and mountain views.
The home has security gates throughout, and an alarm system that can easily be activated.
Accès des voyageurs
The home is easily accessible, with ample on-street parking and a parking bay on the property itself.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
Guests will be received by the owner (or a representative of her) and keys will be handed over. The home is standalone, so if further interaction is required the owner will be contactable via telephone or email.
No smoking inside the house.
No parties after midnight.
Windows and doors need to be kept closed when leaving the house, as there have been cases where baboons have entered the house when left open and unoccupied.
