This incredible new renovation of a mother-in-law suite is located right where you want to be! We are located in the upper Bywater, super close to Frenchman Street and the French Quarter, where you can find the exciting food, culture, and nightlife of downtown New Orleans. The suite comes outfitted with everything you need for a fantastic NOLA escape. Within blocks of the Mississippi river, our 1905 double shotgun greets you with bright colors, plentiful potted plants, and even a fish-stocked clawfoot tub-- the perfect place to enjoy that old New Orleans tradition of stoop sitting with a cocktail and joining in on the revelry that NOLA street life brings. A short walk will take you to any of the numerous restaurants this artist neighborhood has to offer, including Elizabeth's, Maurepas, The Country Club, Booty's, Satsuma, or Mariza (to name but a few). Or you can stroll a bit farther along the river through the Marigny and right to the heart of the French Quarter, by way of Frenchman Street, known as the home of some of the best music clubs New Orleans has to offer(URL HIDDEN) The apartment has a bright and airy feel, perfect for enjoying the river breezes. The whole space consists of three large, comfy rooms plus a bath, all with 14 foot ceilings, decorative fireplaces, hardwood floors, crown molding, and basically all the comforts of home. Every effort has been made to foresee your needs and accommodate them. A flat screen TV, WI-FI and a DVD player in the living room gives you a cozy spot to watch a movie or relax with some board games after a great night out. There is also a spot to set up your laptop if want to keep in touch with the outside world. You can sleep late in our queen size tempurpedic bed with high quality bedding surrounded by Asian art and antiques or enjoy a book from our extensive library, housed with us next door. The bathroom features a walk-in shower with rain-bath shower head and a stained glass window so you can start your day (or night) off clean and cheery(URL HIDDEN) If you aren't familiar with the Bywater neighborhood we encourage you to do some digging-- we're certain you'll decide that this is the place for you. The neighborhood is known for its relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, and famous for its love of art, life, and celebration. It's also convenient to explore the rest of the city. A bus that runs straight through the French Quarter stops right on the corner steps from our house; you can catch it to Canal Street, where you can pick up the street cars to Uptown or Midtown, and all parts in between. We've also added two vintage cruiser bikes for the best tour of the city possible.
We look forward to helping you make the most out of our great city. We live adjacent to the space so anything you require, you need only ask. L'aisssez le bon temps roulez!
