Located on the edge of the Otway Forest and near to the Great Ocean Road means the property is surrounded by abundant wildlife and the sounds of surf. Plenty of fabulous restaurants and cafes along The magnificent Great Ocean Road offer excellent local produce and wines in lovely settings.
Beach walks and rock pools, bush Walks, scenic lookouts, Split Point lighthouse and tea rooms, horse riding, golf, wineries, fishing, mountain biking, canoeing and of course swimming, boogie boarding and surfing are just a few of the local activities available. FAIRHAVEN is the perfect place to base yourself for access to the 12 Apostles, Otway forest waterfalls and the Otway Fly, Apollo Bay and Wye River and the gourmet food trail.
Fairhaven is centrally located- 25minutes from Torquay and 15 minutes from Lorne and Anglesea. All towns offer extensive shopping and dining options. There is a general store at Aireys Inlet (2 kilometres) that has a good supply of groceries and beers/wines. The Aireys pub serves excellent meals and sells takeaway beer/wines too. A La Grecque is a superb restaurant, One hat in Good Food Guide. Little Feast is also excellent. Onda and MrT do the best coffee on the coast, the Lighthouse Stables Cafe is an amazing location. Truffle's, The Captain and Aireys Fish n Chips round out a great offering of local options. Our favourite weekend coffee is a bike ride to Lorne and the idyllic Swing Bridge Cafe right on the sand. Ipsos is similar to A La Grecque (run by Pam and Kosta's sons from A La Grecque , at the old Kosta's location founded 30 years ago). Maple Tree and Marks restaurant also highly recommended. In Anglesea the standout is the new Captain Moonlite restaurant at the Surf Club, with great views over the beach, and the Golf Club is also a good secret, along with the kangaroos. They do Roo Tours now as well.
Car is essential, but we are just 500m from the Geelong/ApolloBay line Fairhaven bus stop. See (URL HIDDEN) for details. Closest stop is Yaringa Rd/Fairhaven surf club.
Steep driveway, sealed, wide with ample parking and turn around space. Wifi. Park by reversing next to carport.
Pets are welcome. We have a steep concrete drive but plenty of turn around space at top. Park by reversing into the bay next to the carport.
