I visited Mashiko to explore the pottery and ceramics scene that Mashiko is known for. I stayed at Yuriko's place for two nights. It was a wonderful stay. They are a lovely Japanese couple who are very friendly and helpful. Their place is a bit away from the city and in a relatively secluded area.. this was great for me, as i wanted to stay in a quiet area. Yuriko's husband picked me up from station and would drop me in town and again pick up when required. So in spite of being away from the town's center, it was not inconvenient at all. Yuriko cooked lovely dinner and breakfast, with special attention to my needs - Vegetarian. Overall, loved everything about my stay. If i come back to Mashiko, i will definitely choose to stay with them again. Thank Yuriko and family for making it a very memorable trip.

Staying at Yuriko's B&B was a wonderful experience. We were picked up from the town and given a lovely welcome, including an open fire, tea and a hot Japanese bath. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable. The home cooked meals were delicious and very generous. Yuriko's husband, Kanehisa, was very helpful in providing us with local information and connecting us with local ceramic artists and driving us back to places in town. We highly recommend this B&B.

This is a wonderful place that can not be missed on your travels to Japan. Yuriko and her family are very kind and welcoming, and their home is in a beautiful rural setting. I highly recommend you try some of Yuriko's dishes, she is an amazing cook. The food is very fresh and healthy. We enjoyed our night full of lively conversation around the fire. I hope to stay again soon.
