À propos de ce logement

The studio appartment is situated directly in front of the Notre Dame, on the left border of Paris in the Latin Quarter. Besides a terrific view to Notre-Dame, you'll have a romantic, cozy and classy studio appartment in the middle of the city of lights.

Le logement

The studio apartment has just been freshly painted. It is bright, with a french balcony towards the Notre-Dame and a big window towards the bridge to Isle Saint Louis. Charming details like visible wooden beams, herringbone parquet and a fireplace give the place the romantic and classy touch, you'd might like to stay in. The kitchen equipment has everything one might need, and the bathroom has a bathtub and a window. You'll have everything you need for your stay, like washing machine, hair dryer, towels, fresh linens of course etc... The bed is a real queen size bed with an excellent new mattress, and there is additionally the sofa which, pulled out, is suitable as a second double bed.
The flat is on the fourth floors without elevator, but that's exactly why you have a wonderful breeze and wonderful views.

Autres remarques

Check-in is only possible until 9pm.

My neighbors are really friendly and nice but of course it would be nice of you to respect their privacy and not to make much noise in night time.
Please make sure to always lock the appartment door as you are leaving as well as to always close the front door behind you while entering or leaving.
It's important to take your garbage out after your stay (the garbage bin is the first door inside the building left) and not to leave any food behind (it's not sure when me or the next guest will arrive after you)
Of course misfortunes happen, and if by chance you break something please let me know about it in first place.
Besides that, I would just expect you to be considerate and respectful with my home as I will be most delighted to host you.

Augusta's place is to me in one of the best locations. Right across from Ile de la Cite, which is where Notre Dame is located, and also right around alot of the fun action of the Left Bank. It is close to the St Michel/Notre Dame train stop, which has good access to many different areas. It is located up a few flights of stairs, but that allows for a great view of the adorable square the building is in, as well as Notre Dame. The apartment itself is a good size for two people, three would also be fine but it would have to be people you are happy to be in close quarters with. The building is a historic building, so super charming and full of character. We loved that about it, but if you expect brand new features and finishing then this is not the place for you. But in my opinion the authentic character is what made it special.

We enjoyed our stay in this charming apartment. The location is great and is perfect for 2-3 people. Pack light as the stairs are quite a work out, especially with larger / heavy bags. This was our second year in this apartment and would consider staying here again.

Augusta made everything very easy and she explained everything so well that I felt very comfortable touring around Paris. Location is perfect and it's right by the canal. So many places to eat in the neighborhood. I absolutely loved my experience and it made my birthday trip very memorable!!! I would recommend to all of my friends and family.

My husband and I stayed a Augusta's place for 6 nights in early May. Overall we had a great stay with only few minor issues. Pros: The location is great! Easy walking distance to Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, the Louvre, and lots of shops and restaurants. The view from Augusta's flat is wonderful. We spent lots of time with the windows open, watching Parisian life down below. It was wonderful to be able to hear the bells of Notre Dame from the apartment. The bed was comfortable, the washing machine worked well, and it was nice to have a stove top and refrigerator so that we could make a few meals. Water pressure in the shower was better than I expected considering the age of the building. It was really nice that there was a coffee pot and coffee grounds that we could use. That saved us a few Euros each day. Cons: Dragging our luggage up four flights of stairs to get to the apartment wasn't very fun, and we only had carry on size luggage. The stairway is a spiral staircase and at night the motion sensors on the lights didn't always work, so the stairs could be pretty dark. We often used the flashlight feature on our phones to navigate the stairs at night. Another con is that the drain on the bathroom sink can be really slow. We were able to get the water flowing a bit better by dumping a pot of boiling water down the drain, but it was still pretty slow. I would also add that although there is technically room for 4 people to sleep in the apartment, it would be uncomfortably crowded. There isn't really any storage space for clothing or suitcases, so we kind of kept our clothing on the sofa and our other belongings on the coffee table. If there had been two other people staying in the apartment who needed to sleep on the sofa bed, I have no idea where we would have put our stuff. The bottom line is that the flat was fine for two people who really like each other's company, but I wouldn't recommend if for more people than that. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend Augusta's place to anyone traveling on a budget.

I am half Greek, half German, an industrial designer who studied afterwards philosophy and history of art and currently working on my PhD in Paris.
As a designer I am passionate about interior design and spending all my savings on it. That's why I truly love my home and care a lot of it and hope you appreciate the detail in which I constantly try to improve it.
I was born in Athens, in this very hood where my appartment and home is when I am not working on my PhD in Paris - a marvelous home away from home which I would love to share with you. Accompanied with plenty of local informations and getarounds, brasseries, bars, cafes and everything else you would like to know.
I would be glad to share my experiences with some curious traveller out there!
