Our yurt campsite is set on an Organic Farm in Dorset, We have 3 traditional Mongolian yurts - nestled in the beautiful Cerne Valley at the heart of Hardy country. Our timber facilities barn has all you need for cooking, playing and relaxing.
The campsite is a truly magical spot, we have been open 4 seasons and have had campers returning every year, because the enjoyed it so much. We have three large yurts with plenty of space around them. All the yurts are hand made in Mongolia and are fully insulated with a thick felt lining for extra cosiness. In the centre of each Yurt is a wood stove and the floor is covered with rush matting - so even on chilly nights, the space is warm and inviting. Each Yurt is individually furnished with an eclectic mix of rustic furniture. This includes a double bed, single futons, as well as piles of cosy cushions, blankets and throws. The nights are lit up with solar powered fairy lights and tea light lanterns for a truly special atmosphere.
Each Yurt sits on it's own decking with an area for picnicking or relaxing in the sunshine and enjoying the views. They also have their own fire pit in front where you can enjoy a bbq in the evenings or stoke up the bonfire for marshmallow toasting..
At the heart of the campsite is our timber clad Facilities Barn. This is a communal area where our guests can cook, eat, play, read, shower and relax under cover.
Kitchen: The kitchen area is a cheerful, cosy area, well equipped with fridges, hobs, crockery and cooking utensils. There is a large communal dining table as well as picnic benches outside for you to enjoy your feasts. We hope that everything you need is provided, so campers don't need to bring along their own cooking utencils.
Showers & Toilets: We have individual showers as well as a larger family shower room and toilets. We help heat our hot water using a solar thermal panel on our roof.
Toys, games & books: We provide a selection of toys and games for children and adults. There is also a bookshelf of local interest and fiction for you to work your way through during your stay.
Maps & Tourist information: We will provide you with maps and ideas for walking and cycling in the area, as well as information on local attractions and good places to eat and drink.

We are happy to let our guests enjoy the peace and quiet of the lovely setting, but we are a family run campsite and farm and one of us will be about everyday to answer questions or give you suggestions on walks or local pubs... We're a friendly bunch!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We do not provide bed linen, so please remember to bring bedding for a double or 2 singles: duvet cover, sheet and pillow cases.
Unfortunately we do not allow pets on the campsite. We provide duvets and pillows, but ask that guests provide their own bed linen - duvet covers, sheets and pillow cases.
All the yurts and buildings are non-smoking spaces
The campsite is located in a peaceful valley and we ask our guests not to use any amplified music equipments; eg radios, ipods with speakers etc. Behaviour should be in keeping with the family environment and should not be excessive, noisy or disruptive, especially at night. We ask that there is no disruptive noise for your fellow campers after 11pm at night.
Please be respectful of the shared areas: showers, toilets and kitchen by cleaning up after yourselves and allowing for others also using the facilities.

I live in the countryside with my family now, but lived in London for 12 years and still love the buzz and excitement of the big city. I love to travel and explore new places - particularly the food! I come from a creative background, but now run my own campsite in Dorset.
