Our 200 year old cottage was Mary Norton's (author of "The Borrowers") last home. Walking distance to village shops and pubs; 2 mile walk to Hartland Quay pub, the sea and spectacular cliff scenery of coast path. Cosy bedroom, ensuite bathroom.
Large downstairs kitchen, dining, living room. Homemade breakfasts including farm fresh eggs, jams made from garden fruits, brioche, bread and locally roasted and ground coffee. Vegetarians catered for.

Kitchen/dining area and large upstaire living room with wood burner and TV. Terraces and garden. Utility area for storage (bikes, sports equipment etc.) Easy on street adjacent parking and village car park a few minutes from the house.

We have a good knowledge of the area and can help with places of interest to visit, where to surf/climb/hike. Local cafés, pubs and restaurants. Pick up and drop off of walkers by arrangement.
Luna, our friendly black and white Springer spaniel lives with us. Small children welcome.
Regret no smoking in the house. Dogs by arrangement.

Born in Wimbledon, I lived in France from 1979 where we raised our four children. My husband was born in France and is a retired telecomunications engineer. I have a degree in Environmental science and worked for many years for WWF France and International. For the last 5 years I worked as an English professor at a private Paris university. We have owned Borrowers Cottage in Hartland since 1997 and have been visiting the area since 1992. In June 2015 the family moved permanently from Paris to Hartland. I am the new Editor of our local newspaper, The Hartland Post.
