Échanges avec les voyageurs

If I am home when you arrive, you will be greeted with a warm handshake and given a tour of my home. If I am not able to be there when you arrive, you will find a key to the front door in a lock box. I am happy to answer your questions about nearby restaurants, shopping, mineral springs and other attractions. If I know in advance and am available to do so, I can provide transportation to the Palm Springs International Airport, Amtrak station, or other area attractions.

If you do not see what you need, please ask. Chances are I either have it or know where to get it.

Le quartier

I live in a working class neighborhood near the largest wind farm in the country. The sunsets are amazing, and surrounding mountains are visible in all directions. Evening breezes make sitting out front on my sandstone patio on gliding patio furniture pleasant most evenings.

There is a bus stop only a block away that connects to all areas of the Coachella Valley. Palm Springs International Airport and the Amtrak station are less than 20 minutes away.

Cheryl was a great host, the house was super clean, and she was very kind. She provides Airbnb guest with a lot of breakfast items and we had a great brunch in the kitchen :)

Cheryl is a great host! We stayed with Cheryl for two nights in her lovely, clean home which was centrally located to both my destination and the area around. She couldn't have been more welcoming and so thoughtful. Wish we had more time to get to chat with Cheryl, but would love to stay with her again!

Cheryl was a great host. Anything you can think of, she has. We got a nice room, with a nice breakfast and were allowed to use the kitchen. Everything was really clean. We could use the laundry and dry cleaner for 5$ extra, which is reasonable. We can recommend her without any restrictions.

Cheryl was an incredible host with a wealth of information about the area. She was welcoming and friendly and her home was quaint and perfect for our one night stay in the desert!

Cheryl's place is wonderful and located in the best of locations. She is a very welcoming host and the house is far greater than what is advertised. 5 stars all around!!!!! Great experience.

Cheryl is a fantastic host and very accommodating. Cheryl helped with everything we asked for her help. She is very knowledgeable of the area. Since our last stay, she purchased a new firm memory foam that was very comfortable and made the bed a bit higher. Another bonus is that the air conditioner was extremely efficient. Also the Internet speed is superior and we were able to stream live sports on our lap top. Thanks Cheryl for making us feel at home during our extended stay.

I am a traveler myself who loves nature, festivals, cultural events, hot springs, and air cooled Volkswagen buses. I am originally from Montana, but lived in Albuquerque for five years before moving to Southern California in 1999. I spend time visiting my parents in Homer, AK and my son near Bellingham, Washington.

I have traveled the western half of the United States, plus Louisiana, Florida, the Caribbean, and Alaska. I have taken a few trips to Canada, and many to Mexico, (road tripping and exploring Baja California all the way to the bottom), and visited the Yucatan Penninsula. Most often these days, I travel and camp in an air cooled bay bus named Ruby2sday.

I host because I want to make traveling comfortable and affordable for people. I enjoy having guests in my home and strive to make their stay special and memorable. When people choose to stay in a bed and breakfast, they are, in essence, treated as family.

My home is clean, quiet, and comfortable. I feel blessed to meet and be a part of the travels of the folks who pass through staying in my home. People appreciate being able to cook and eat a meal in my home kitchen, or do a load or two of laundry before they move on. I am here to offer a warm handshake, answer questions or make suggestions about where to eat, shop, and spend time in my area. I may be able to help with transportation to the airport or a hot mineral springs; or offer a guided tour to an oasis. If you wish, we may exchange life stories of traveling; or you may prefer to rest quietly and rejuvenate for your journeys ahead. One thing is certain, my home is your home throughout your stay.
