The perfect base for exploring or working in Toulouse while staying in the new Eco-Village of Balma: 15 minutes from the front door to the town center by metro, 3 minutes by car to the motorway if you want to head to Albi or Carcassone. Free secure parking.
After a day in Toulouse, escape here for some peace, quiet, and have drinks on the terrace in the garden. Perfect for business people, a couple or one couple with a child. Handicapped accessible/Elevator. Very quiet! The queen mattress in the master bedroom is new and very comfortable--I can be a finicky sleeper so the bed is good! The price is low in the beginning until we get a few reviews.
1 master bedroom with new queen mattress, 1 small bedroom with single bed, sofa bed has a pull out mattress for two. 1 bathroom with bathtub, toilets separate like is often the case in France (very practical when someone is taking a shower and you need the toilet!) Washing machine, full kitchen fridge, freezer, Nespresso machine, kettle, induction stove, all the pots etc. (Note: no microwave!) Free Wifi/Internet, Free local calls in France to fixed or mobile phones, stereo, and a screen for plugging in the computer to watch movies.
There is a large shopping mall down the street at the metro station, with a supermarket, an SNCF store for buying French rail tickets, and tons of clothing stores and restaurants. The store Picard is also close by. Balma has a lovely organic farmers' market every Saturday morning; if you've brought your bikes, it's a 15 min ride. Balma is known for being the most bike-friendly part of Toulouse--there are bike paths everywhere so you dont ride on the road! Also some fantastic parks just outside our door with kids' swings, petanque field, tree climbing set, and a huge grassy area for picnics, where you can see the Pyrennes on a clear day.
As this is our home, please write us a message first telling us a bit about yourselves and your visit to Toulouse, so we can get to know the people staying in our house, thanks.

As much or as little as they'd like! We welcome you and show you the place, then are within reach if there are any problems you can call us. We then do a check out when you've left. We're open to having drinks and chatting if you'd like to get to know us and the town, or we can stay totally out of the way if you want some private time.
You must close the exterior blinds when you leave the apartment for the day. No smoking allowed inside but the terrace is fine! Loud parties aren't a good idea either, out of consideration for our neighbors. Small pets are OK, please ask me about this first. You are staying in our home, so we ask that you treat it with care. A deposit is requested which will be fully refunded to you upon leaving if there is no damage.
Hmmmm...favorite travel destinations? that's hard. Let's see..anywhere with a white sand beach..but as for countries, well India and Italy are on the top of the list, Scotland was lovely, even in the rain!, loved living in Hungary too.
Love travelling, discovering humanity, chilling with a good book on a sunny terrace, dance, yoga, meditation, all that stuff, but also strong Italian coffee, dark French chocolate..
My style of travelling: low key, observe the locals and explore the open air market kind of thing. I lived in Rome for three months and only visited the forum and St peter's on the last day! Not fussy about anything except I need to sleep well so a decent bed and quiet enough that earplugs do the trick. Like autonomous travelers who feel at home and get up and make their own coffee :)
Life motto I guess would be: "life is short, be kind to others" (not mine, from a Tibetan sage).
