Le quartier

Our closest village neighbours is Matacawalevu Village, which is a 15mins walk away.

The village can be reached by either walking or via our longboat taxi (surcharge applies on longboat usage).

Transports

This is a remote island, access is by boat only. Kindly advise of your travel arrangements to the Yasawa islands and we will arrange for our water taxi to meet you at the disembarking location at Nanuya Island, which is 5mins by water taxi from us.

There are daily ferries that departs mainland Viti Levu for the Yasawas.

The affordable, quicker Tavewa Seabus
The Seabus charges $100FJD per person one way. Not as luxury as the alternative, Yasawa Flyer, but gets to us quicker. Seabus departs Lautoka Marina at 8.30am.

The luxurious, but expensive Yasawa Flyer
Departs Nadi Marina every morning at 8.30am, the Flyer charges $186FJD per person one way. Takes about 5.5 hours to get to us. And yes, they are luxurious.

The Isa Lei Open Boat Supply Run
Sometimes we have guest travelling with us on our open longboat supply run. These are way cheaper, $50FJD per person one way, and we mix these runs when we have a group of 5-7 guests. Please note, the trip is not for the weak stomach as the sea can get choppy. Travel the real local style.

We spent an amazing time in Isa Lei. Wake up just by the beach is exceptional. Tent was comfy, big enough for luggages etc... Food was nice, mostly vegetables. The snorkel was amazing, it worth it! If you want some peace and tranquillity it's the place to be!

Isa Lei is a Glamping place on a secluded island, surrounded by amazing corals and friendly people. The following are my honest opinion about the place. 1. Communication- we were informed on how to get to the island and the host have arranged transfer from the airport. When we got to the airport, we didn't find the arranged transfer so we decided to get a taxi to the port. The boat leaves at 830 but its best that you have breakfast at the airport since there's no food in the port or boat. We couldn't contact the host as it is an australian number (and since he lives in Australia) but we have managed to contact the people waiting at the resort through this number: +. The seabus dropped us off near Isa Lei and someone picked us up. 2. The Island- the glamping place is on a secluded island. Though there's a village in the Island but we didn't get a chance to see it. Snorkelling is amazing and the island boat can take you to other islands too for a picnic and a snorkelling session. Tip: do a little hike to get to the other side of the island. Snorkelling is better on the other side plus you get to see the island view if ur doing the hike. 3. Food- just like in any village here in Fiji, food can be a bit plain after having it over and over again. Their main foods are mostly carbohydrates but if you are a bit picky with food, its best if you bring some canned tuna or bread with peanut butter with you. I have diabetes and they've managed to cook some brown rice for me. As long as you are prepared food wise, you'll be fine. Bring tea and coffee as sometimes they run out. They have a lovely cook here and they do give adequate food. Pancakes for breakfast, rice and some crops with fish and some fruits is what they normally serve. 4. Tent- its a pretty big tent that they have (good for 8 kinda tent) so you have plenty of room. Just make sure you bring some repellent with you as the insects can be a bit nasty. Frogs are everywhere at night but they're harmless 5. Staff- the staff is absolutely amazing! I love everyone who works here. Mans, the guy who fishes for food is a pretty cool guy. He taught us how to spearfish and took us to the other island. His wife is so accommodating and the girl chef makes such good food. We had a problem with the toilet as it wasnt working the whole night but they've managed to fix it. There's free drinking water too. Its a good place to stay and you do get your money's worth. I'm definitely coming back xx

Bula bula! Our stay at Isa Lei was perfect, really really perfect. Before we got there the communication between us and Seru was excellent and he helped us set up our ferry transfers and water taxis along with our tent booking. Seru's brother, Sam, and many other relatives made our stay incredibly relaxing and fun. The food was delicious and made by Sam or one of his family members from the nearby village, they can easily make any meals vegetarian as well. Really great local dishes with fresh fruit. They also double filter/boil the water for guests, so we had happy stomachs the whole trip. The tents are spacious and basic with a comfy bed and always clean sheets. We had some very stormy weather some days but the tents held up great and all of our bags stayed dry. Sam and his staff also put up extra shelter around the tent when it stormed which we appreciated. Sam and his family really made the trip for us, so kind, friendly, and relaxed. Although we just hung out on the beach most days, they can also take you to snorkel, spearfishing, walks... we did basket weaving and a bread fruit cooking lesson, really great! There is also always coconut juice straight from the tree. But for us, the private beach was all we needed. Even with other guests the beach is plenty big to share. The water is great, not too deep but good for a shallow swim, very clear and white sandy beach with lots of beautiful shells. all in all an amazing 5 days, thank you so much Sam, Seru, and the whole family!! We wish you all the best at Isa Lei and hope to come back as soon as we can!!

Bula!! Isa Lei is a truly wonderful place and we highly recommend it! We were greeted by Sele on our boat transfer and Sam (Seru's brother) on arrival at the island and we were welcomed so warmly and felt right at home. We were seated by the ocean and sipped from fresh coconuts just in awe of the paradise we had found. On our first evening, during dinner, Sam played guitar, and music became a theme throughout our stay which was really special. The site is right next to the most perfect stretch of coast where on a high tide the sea meets the palm trees on the beach and at low tide you can walk out on the reef (wearing sandals) and see starfish, tiny fish and crabs in the rock pools. When the tide is in you can swim safely, borrow Sam's Kayak for a paddle over the reef looking into the clear water, or borrow the masks, snorkels and flippers and head out into the reef with its undulating landscape full of life! We loved the reef and felt extremely lucky that the opportunity to see so many beautiful fish was so easy; angel fish, clown fish and many more! We even spotted reef sharks! Such day trips would usually cost a bit as additions from accommodation providers but from Isa Lei it was all free and on our doorstep. Our tent was wonderful with an additional bamboo structure over it with a palm leaf roof for extra cosiness, mozzy nets, a comfy bed, room for storage and at night Sam provides you with a lantern. The toilet and shower were a very short distance away and perfectly functional and clean and the dwelling they were housed in was made from leaves and bamboo too! We loved it all! You'll see little lizards here and there and lovely toads hopping about freely, you'll be surrounded by trees and we are certain you'll enjoy the simplicity and wonderfully natural feel. We were the only people there for the first two days and were then joined by two more travellers and we all enjoyed the desert island feel that we had all merely dreamt of! The food was delicious and fresh; homemade, picked from the plantations or straight out of the sea, and the water is all harvested from the rain and totally safe to drink and is super fresh! We were lucky enough to go spear fishing with Manasa and learnt to weave baskets from the palm leaves. You need only ask Sam should you wish to take a trip or indulge in authentic experiences. There are many trips available as the village has a fantastic local boat service and everyone is so genuine and friendly! We visited the village twice during our stay via a lush inland route and it was a real privilege! We were invited to attend a Kava ceremony with the Chief, open a fundraising event raising money for new water tanks and we even...
