À propos de ce logement
Our gite 'Tournesol' is a converted barn built in the last century.
During its conversion from barn to holiday retreat we kept the lovely oak beams and the sturdy stone walls and turned it into a bright and sunny place.
We furnished it with great finds & treasures from our trips to the brocante markets and dosed it with comfort & charm.
Our barn became a true country retreat - a place where one feels at home.
The gite had two large double bedrooms ( one with a crib) and one large children's bed- and playroom with toys, games and books!
The living room has a comfortable seating area with sofa's, a lazy chair, a woodstove, television, wifi and hifi.
The open kitchen has a large extendable table & 8 chairs and a high chair. All mod coms are present; a gas cooker with six burners, a large fridge with freezer compartment and a dish washer.
The bathroom has a shower, two wash basins, a washing machine and dryer.
The toilet is separate from the bathroom.
The barn was built against a slope. The living room, kitchen and one of the bedrooms are at garden level - from the balcony at the back you enter the large (600m2) garden.
The garden has a sunny terrace shaded by cherry trees; table & chairs, parasol & BBQ.
The wooden ( above ground) swimming pool is child safe when the acces ladder is removed.
The wooden cabin holds more garden furniture and plenty of swimming pool toys and as it happens children love to play house in the wood cabin....
Of course you would like to build a camp fire in the evenings...logs are there just for the taking.
And suppose there is just the two of you... the house , though large, still feels homely and snug.

Hurecourt is a quiet village on the very edge of the Vosges.
The weather is usually very good due to the continental climate - rain falls in the Vosges but we do benefit from rainfall over there as the water flows through the many underground springs, streams and rivers to where we live in luscious green countryside.
Hurecourt also has an old communal washing place with running water from the source. It 's situated right in the middle of the village and in medieval times wild boars would come & drink from it.
It explains the name of the village as a 'Hure' is the head of a boar: welcome to ' the Boar's head Court' !
